Santa says Merry Christmas

Hi everyone! I hope you’ve had a great week and you’re looking forward to a nice and relaxing weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m delighted to be back on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a fun Christmas card using one of my new favorite Sizzix thinlits sets! This is the third time I’ve used it and it gets more fun every time! The first one was a practice run and then the next two were used for DT projects!

I die cut all the Santa pieces from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, CutCardStock Red Flash Silk Glitter 4×6 cardstock, CutCardStock Curious Metallic Night cardstock, CutCardStock Curious Metallic Chestnut cardstock, CutCardStock Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Pink cardstock, and CutCardStock Sandcastle cardstock, assembled him and set him aside. I cut a 6″ square top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock and had to do a little fancy footwork on the back flap because 5-1/2″ square is the largest size card base one can get from a single sheet of 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock. ;) I cut a red cardstock background panel, adhered several strips of light and medium green cardstock cut in varying widths along with a strip of washi tape, and adhered the panel to the card base. I adhered Santa and then stamped the sentiment in a vertical fashion on the right side, creating a fun and unique element for the second part of the sentiment to generate a little interest.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips cut from the red and green cardstock and a strip of washi tape, stamped the sentiment in black ink and layered the panel on green cardstock.

And one more look… sure am loving how this turned out! Did I mention how much I love this Sizzix die set?! ;)

Happy Father’s Day

5/3/21 Winner at Pammie’s Inky Pinkies Challenges!

Hi everyone! Hope you’ve had an amazing week! Hard to believe it’s the last day of April already! I’m delighted to be back on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I created a super clean and simple Father’s Day card in a navy blue and white color combo. You know how guys are… the simpler, the better, lol!

I created a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock, along with narrow panels cut from Neenah Classic Linen Solar White 100# cardstock and CutCardStock Basis Navy cardstock, which I layered together and adhered to the left side of the card base. Using the Tutti Designs Fancy Tie die, I cut the tie twice from CutCardStock Basis Navy cardstock, layered them together for slight dimension and adhered them to the narrow panel. I stamped the sentiment in navy blue ink, which completed the card front.

For the inside, I also cut narrow panels from Neenah Classic Linen Solar White 100# cardstock and CutCardStock Basis Navy cardstock, layered them together and adhered them to the left side of the panel. I stamped the sentiment in navy blue ink and adhered the panel to the inside of the card base.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! This is the true definition of CAS!

unleash your inner sparkle

Hi everyone! Happy Fri-YAY – hope you’ve had a great week! I’m delighted to be back on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I created an adorable CAS fairy birthday card featuring the most adorable fairy castle – complete with fairies! I apologize about the angle of the first photo… foil is SO hard to photograph so I thought I’d angle downward from above which did help a little bit.

I created a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock, along with a gold foil cardstock layer and a CutCardStock Basis Pink cardstock layer which I adhered together. Using the ScrapMan Fairy Castle die, I cut the fairy castle from gold foil cardstock and adhered it to the upper left portion of the front panel. I added one green fairy and two pink fairies, and some iridescent gemstones. I then added a gold foil strip across the bottom and stamped the sentiment in black ink just above the foil strip. You’ll probably laugh when you notice that I used a unicorn stamp set from my stash – but it yielded the same fantasy/magical result so I went with it! ;) The final touch was adhering three medium size iridescent gemstones to the strip.

The inside panel consists of a gold foil cardstock layer and a CutCardStock Basis Pink cardstock layer which I adhered together and embellished with a stitched rectangle die cut that I cut from Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock. I added a narrow strip of the gold foil cardstock horizontally across the top portion of the panel and stamped the sentiment in black ink.

And one more peek… I’m absolutely smitten with this fairy castle! Such an adorable card! ;)

merry & bright

Hi friends! Happy Fri-YAY! It’s definitely a YAY day for me because I’m finally able to announce that I’ve joined the Dies R Us Design Team! Woo-hoo! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m delighted to be on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today with my debut DT inspiration project! I created a pair of Christmas cards featuring the absolutely gorgeous Birch Press Design Mini Snowflake Frame Layer Set! I am so in love with this entire line!

These two cards are very similar but slightly different. I die cut two sets of snowflake frame layers from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Aquamarine cardstock, CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Lagoon cardstock and CutCardStock Silk Glitter Silvermist cardstock, assembled them, and set them aside. I reversed the top and middle layer colors – the top layer of the snowflake on the left is the slightly darker teal color whereas the one on the right is light teal.

I cut a standard A2 size card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock for each card along with front layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Teal cardstock and teal double-sided patterned paper which I layered together (reversing the sides of the paper for each card) and adhered to the card base. I then adhered a snowflake frame to each card front. I stamped the sentiment twice in Versamark on CutCardStock Basis Teal cardstock and heat embossed them in white. I cut them in strips and adhered them with Scotch 3M foam tape.

I cut inside layering panels for each card from CutCardStock Basis Teal cardstock and Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, and adhered them together. I embellished each panel with a strip of teal double-sided patterned paper and narrow strip of teal cardstock used on the front, stamped the sentiment in teal ink on each, and adhered a panel to the inside of each card base.

And one more peek… I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love these cards! This die set is amazingly gorgeous and I was extremely lucky to have the patterned paper to match the light and dark teal Stardream Metallic cardstock!
