It’s the most wonderful time of the year

Hi friends – can you believe it’s Christmas Eve already?! OMGoodness, time is flying by! I have another pretty ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with items in the December 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I finally got around to making another starburst panel using papers and stickers in the Simple Stories All Wrapped Up Collection Kit along with Carta Bella Christmas Flora Ephemera from the upgrades. It’s actually been a little over five years since I created a panel like this (post HERE if you want to see it). The next time I make one of these I’m going to put the points on the strips more toward the center (for a true starburst look) rather than off to one side.

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Lessebo Moss cardstock along with 16 strips from assorted prints in the Simple Stories All Wrapped Up Collection Kit which I then cut in half diagonally. This is a super simple process of placing the first strip down on a lightweight panel of cardstock (or you can use copy paper), then placing each subsequent one down in a starburst formation leaving just a tiny bit of space between the previous one.

For the focal, I grabbed a sentiment from the Carta Bella Christmas Flora Ephemera and layered it on a stitched circle cut from CutCardStock Bright Gold Foil because I thought it needed just a touch of bling. I then cut a slightly larger circle from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock which gave the focal a little more balance. I used the Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nested Cutting Dies for the circles, and popped the focal up on Scrapbook Adhesive Thin 3D Foam Squares for a little dimension.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White and embellished it with a patterned paper strip from the collection and a sentiment from the Carta Bella Christmas Flora Ephemera. I layered it on a panel of CutCardStock Pop Tone Red Hot cardstock which completed the card.

It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

Hey everybody, happy Wednesday – I hope you’re having a great week and you’re embracing December… it sure got here fast! I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making an A2 side-folding Winter-themed card featuring a Solar White pre-folded card base, double thick Solar White cardstock, our Lessebo Moss Green, Silver Glitter, and Bright Foil cardstock. OMGoodness, this turned out so pretty… it’s simple but sure packs a punch!

I used a Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White A2 Folded Card Base and added a panel of Lessebo Moss Green cardstock. Using the Birch Press Design Mini Snowflake Dies, I cut the bottom layer from 165# Solar White for stability, the middle layer from CCS Silver Glitter, and the top layer from Bright Silver Foil. Prior to adhering the layers together, I spritzed the thick bottom layer in Brutus Monroe Noble Fir Chroma Mist for a little interest. I stamped a sentiment from the Love From Lizi Hello Winter stamp set in Brutus Monroe Alabaster White ink and added several tiny gray gemstones, which completed the card front.

I cut one extra partial snowflake from the silver glitter cardstock to use in the corner of the inside white panel. I stamped another sentiment from the same stamp set in Memento Olive Grove ink and layered the panel on the Lessebo Moss Green cardstock. Be sure to see my tutorial on the CutCardStock blog if you want more detailed instructions.
