Truly Grateful Note Card

Hello, my crafty friends! Well, aren’t we just rockin’ right on into the second half of the year! Hard to believe it’s already July 1st. Hope you’re working on your Christmas cards because the holidays will be here in the blink of an eye! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #12 – July Anything Goes! Come on over and play with us!

I used the absolutely gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Truly Grateful stamp set to create this thank you note card done in neutrals with a little yellow and a pop of orange. All the panels and flags are layered on brown cardstock.

I created the background by stamping the woodgrain image, then random tree trunks and acorns from the same stamp set. I punched some flags that I arranged under the focal image. I added brown twine for a little texture. The only other embellishment used were brown flat-back pearls. I left the inside blank as this is a note card.

So thankful

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday – hope you’re having a great week! One more day till Friday, lol! It’s June 1st and time for another fun challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration card for LTCCB #11 – June Anything Goes! I created a corner fold thank you card that is also clean and simple. This is an interesting fold and I’m trying to learn to create with less dimension which is really tough for me. ;)

I used the absolutely gorgeous GKD Painted Autumn stamp set for the focal image panel which I layered on gold mirror cardstock. I love multi-step stamp sets with large images, as they create gorgeous backgrounds!

I stamped the inside sentiment along with some leaf stems on a layered panel. I really love how this turned out!

Purse Money Holder

Hi everyone! I’m back with another post on this fine first day of May! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #10 – May Anything Goes! I created the most awesome little purse money holder using the Purse Card/Envelope Set Money Holder Silhouette cut file by Samantha Walker. OMG, this couldn’t have been more fun to put together, and with minimal supplies!

1-leslie

I used the brightest green and purple cardstock I could find in my stash! The only embellishments used were several tiny silver brads and a clear gemstone. I used a small velcro circle under the front flap for the closure. Love, love, love!

** 4/16/17 Winner at A Bit More Time To Craft! **

Hi everyone! Can you believe it’s April 1st?! Hope nobody gets over on you with an April Fool’s joke today, lol! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for April Anything Goes! You’ll remember last month I created a baby girl card using the three-step ‘Baby Bear’ stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Well, this month I have a baby boy card created with the same stamp set. How cute is this?! :) A CAS design with minimal embellishments. The card base was cut with that same awesome Papertrey Ink die set. ;)

2016_09250014a

I cut the image with a stitched oval die and layered it on foam for a little dimension. All four corners were embellished with rhinestones. The seam binding bow matches the cardstock.

2016_09250015a

I kept the inside very simple with just a stamped sentiment on a panel cut with a die from the same die set

Hi friends! Happy first day of March! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for March Anything Goes! I created a baby girl card using the awesome three-step ‘Baby Bear’ stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Love, love, love! :) A CAS design with minimal embellishments. The card base was cut with a fairly new Papertrey Ink die set.

I cut the image with a stitched oval die and layered it on foam for a little dimension. All four corners were embellished with rhinestones. The seam binding bow matches the cardstock.

Happy Birthday Wishes

** 2/15/17 Special Mention at World Wide Open Design Team Monthly Challenge! **

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! It’s unbelievable how quickly January passed by us. It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for February Anything Goes! I hope you will join us this month. Remember, we welcome all kinds of handmade projects – from cards, tags, ATCs and scrapbook layouts to 3-D projects, mixed media canvases and altered projects – and even knitting, crocheting and jewelry! We want to see whatever you’re working on!

Today I’m showcasing a 4″ square shutter card that I made using Stampin’ Up! products. I made my first one in shades of blue a while back and really loved it… so much so that I made another one, this time in warm tones of yellow and brown. Instead of my signature big bow on the front, I stamped and die cut a large layered flower with leaves. The closure is a tiny magnet under the sentiment tag. If you’re interested in the first one I made, you can see it HERE.

Here are a few progressive shots of the card opening up – check out the shutter opening to reveal the inside sentiment. So fun! :D

And finally, here’s a shot of the entire inside. Love the construction of this! I see another one of these in my near future – and it will be a different size! I do not recall exactly where I found the tutorial for this fold originally but I’ve searched and came up with one on YouTube that looks pretty similar HERE. Enjoy!
