Live – Laugh – Love

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s 2020?! Crazy how fast the years are flying by! Our January challenge is live over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #33 – Anything Goes + Paper Piecing! I absolutely love this technique – and my card is CAS – AND it’s a one-layer card which I’ve probably only created a handful of in all the years I’ve been crafting!

I used the Stampin’ Up Beautiful You stamp set which is one of my favorites. The image is small but the paper piecing technique is very effective with it, I think. I chose a pretty floral paper for her dress and a coordinating solid for her hat from the Colorbok Delilah 12 x 12 designer paper pad.

The front and inside sentiments are also from the same Beautiful You stamp set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

And one more look… really loving how this turned out!

Products used:

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and will link up an anything goes project with us this month, and better yet, why not play the ‘paper piecing’ twist?! It’s super fun and yields such a neat result! Remember, though, that the twist is not necessary to play in our challenges! Thanks so much for stopping by – we’ll see you again soon! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Crazy cat lady and crafting junkie! We have 10 feline rescues. I’m addicted to stamping and love making cards, ATCs, and 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, paper purses and mini albums). I also dabble in mixed media, art journaling, altered art and custom jewelry. If you’re looking for me, I’ll either be in my studio or getting some kitty lovins! ;)
