thinking of you

Hi everyone! And it’s Tuesday already… how did that happen?! Where did the weekend go?! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Stinkin’ Inkers and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for the Lovely As A Tree challenge! We’re celebrating Earth Day and Arbor Day, so let’s see your project featuring a tree! I created a ‘thinking of you’ card featuring a tree, of course, and an awesome Henry David Thoreau quote.

I was aiming for a clean and simple card. I cut the stamped tree image with one of my favorite double stitched square dies and adhered it to brown foam for a little dimension. I stamped the quote toward the bottom of the front of the card base and added some brown twine.

I kept the inside super simple with just a stamped sentiment. Not even any layering, lol!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up thick Very Vanilla cardstock
Stamps: Stampin’ Up Lovely As A Tree and Moon Lake stamp sets
Ink: Stampin’ Up Early Espresso ink
Dies/Punches: My Favorite Things Die-namics Double Stitched Squares STAX die
Accessories:  Darice dark brown Foamies foam, Studios Blackbird brown twine

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and will link up with us this month! We’d love to see your project featuring a tree! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment! I love reading them!
