joy

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! I love Saturdays because I’m usually crafting in my happy place. ;) It’s time for another fun challenge over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #11 – June Anything Christmas Goes! I created a pretty Christmas card in cream and navy that I can’t wait to add to my growing stack!

Leslie

I used a gorgeous snowflake embossing folder for the background along with a few snowflake die cuts and two awesome Tim Holtz ice skate die cuts. I lightly inked the edges of the ice skates to make them look worn, colored the heels black and painted the blades with a silver paint marker, and laced them up with cord. I colored the blue snowflakes with clear sparkle overlay marker for a little shimmer. I cut three ‘joy’ die cuts and layered them together for some dimension.

I created the sentiment on the computer, trimmed the panel and layered it on navy blue cardstock. I added a shimmery snowflake in the bottom left corner.

One more look… O.M.G. I’m totally smitten!

Happy Anniversary

Hi everyone! Wow, oh wow… we’re starting the middle of the year! Can you believe it?! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I”m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #35 – June Anything Goes! I created a pretty anniversary card in one of my favorite color combos of pink and green!

Leslie

I created a green card base and rounded one corner for a little interest. I stamped the heart strip (an old Stamp Camp stamp my beloved sister gave me a number of years ago) in pink ink, embossed it with clear embossing powder and layered it on light pink cardstock. The pretty patterned paper that I put across the bottom is from a new paper pad I just got at Hobby Lobby and I’m in love! I added a thin strip of the light pink cardstock to border the printed paper, and embellished it with some tiny pink flat-back pearls.

I decorated the inside panel with some leftover strips of paper and cardstock used on the front, and stamped a simple sentiment. The front and inside sentiments are also from Stamp Camp sentiment stamp sets.

One more look… I’m smitten with every aspect of this card – from the color combo to the stamps and the patterned paper!
