you are appreciated

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! This month’s Anything Goes with Dies Challenge is live over at Happy Little Stampers and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project with you today, a thank you card featuring a six-layer die cut with a stained glass effect. So pretty!

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this card! This was actually only my second attempt at the stained glass effect. The first card I created used a different die and color scheme which I showcased several weeks ago for a different design team. ;)

I cut the flower and bud in shades of pink and the leaves in three different shades of green, placed all the die cut pieces into the negative spaces, and then added Glossy Accents, glitter and another coat of Glossy Accents. I added five more die cut outline layers to build the design, layered the panel on green cardstock and adhered it to the card base, then stamped the sentiment in green ink.

I decorated the inside panel with two strips of skinny Washi Tape, stamped the sentiment, and then layered the panel on the green cardstock.

Here’s another look…

And one more super close-up to see the dimension. I’m so smitten with this technique and I l-o-v-e how this card turned out! Squeal! ;)

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D
