HAPPY Valentine’s Day

Hello again, everybody! I’ve popped in again this morning to share a card I created for the June Freebie/Progressive Challenge over at The Outlawz! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I stay so darn busy these days that sometimes I don’t even know which end is up. I’m retired and I’m busier than I ever was when I worked full-time outside the home and was raising four kids! How does that even happen?! We were gifted the super adorable Sharing Is Caring digital stamp from The Paper Shelter for this challenge and I created a Valentine’s Day card done primarily in teal rather than the traditional red and/or pink.

I cut a square top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and layering panels from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic 105# Aquamarine cardstock, CutCardStock Stardream Metallic 105# Lagoon cardstock and CutCardStock Basis 80# Aqua cardstock. I printed the pre-colored image from The Paper Shelter on 60# Hammermill cardstock, fussy cut it and set it aside. I printed the coordinating backing paper on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, trimmed it and layered it on the Basis Aqua cardstock. I adhered the fussy cut image to the backing paper panel and then stamped the sentiment in Catherine Pooler All That Jazz ink, added a die cut sentiment, and adhered the panel to Stardream Metallic Aquamarine and Lagoon layers. The finishing touch was the addition of a pink enamel heart.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of CutCardStock Stardream Metallic 105# Aquamarine cardstock, CutCardStock Stardream Metallic 105# Lagoon cardstock, CutCardStock Basis 80# Aqua cardstock and CutCardStock Basis 80# Pink cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from an old Hero Arts stamp set (Love By Lia) in Catherine Pooler All That Jazz and It’s A Girl ink and layered the panel on CutCardStock Stardream Metallic 105# Aquamarine cardstock and CutCardStock Basis 80# Aqua cardstock.

And one more look… this is so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it! The Paper Shelter has some super adorable images which always have coordinating backing papers!

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D
