Dream BIG Edge-To-Edge Shaker

Hey everybody! I’m back with another post this morning to share a fun card I created earlier this week for The Outlawz Sunday Songs and Rhymes Challenge! Sherry West Art is sponsoring this time, so come on over and play for a chance to win a prize! I was gone most of the day yesterday with a friend running errands, and I have taken a couple days this week to organize my stamped and foiled sentiment strips in storage boxes, so I figured I better hustle to share this card before the challenge ends in two days, lol! We were given a Disney song to use as inspiration, so I focused on ‘dream’ for the front with a Disney quote on the inside. I created an edge-to-edge shaker to showcase a super cute image from Sherry’s Beauty Bugs collection. I can’t find my readymade shaker pockets (gee, go figure…) so I made one myself using Grafix Craft Plastic. In all honesty, it bows out just a tad more than the readymade ones which allows the shaker bits to move around more freely inside the pocket, so I like it! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding landscape card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Brutus Monroe teal glitter cardstock and CutCardStock Habanero cardstock. I printed the Sherry West digital image on 80# Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and trimmed it. I stamped the sentiment from the Dare 2B Artzy Dream Big stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, layered the panels together and slid them into a shaker pocket I handmade from Grafix Craft Plastic. I threw in a couple small pinches of Kat Scrappiness Mirrored Clear Confetti Dot Sequin Mix and sealed it up.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips of red cardstock and teal glitter cardstock used on the front. I stamped the sentiment (from the same D2BA stamp set) in black ink and layered the panel on red cardstock.

And one more peek… I totally love that image, and the edge-to-edge shaker (with my handmade pocket) turned out great! So fun!
