Let’s Hang Out

Hey everybody! Happy Sunday – I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! They sure are going by fast! I’m stoked to be back on the Printable Cuttable Creatables blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! Having small children at home years ago always made Halloween fun, and we even had a yearly tradition of a costume party! We’re all in different states these days so we settle for the occasional card. I used the Let’s Hang Out Bat SVG File which I paired with paper from the Halloween Treats Digital Paper Pack to create this adorable Halloween card!

I cut all the pieces for the focal element from CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice, Grape Jelly and Sweet Tooth cardstock using my Scan N Cut and the Let’s Hang Out Bat SVG File. I assembled it and set it aside. I cut a square card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Orange and an argyle digital paper from the Halloween Treats Digital Paper Pack which I adhered together and then to the card base. I added a strip of Doodlebug Design Limeade Swiss Dot washi tape across the bottom of the front panel for a little interest, and then adhered the focal element. The finishing touch was adding a few Eyelet Outlet green enamel dots.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the argyle digital paper and Basis Orange cardstock used on the front. I stamped a sentiment from The Project Bin Cool Ghoul stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and layered the panel on orange cardstock.

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D
