You’re the Fairest of them All

Hey everybody, I hope you’re having a terrific Tuesday! Not sure why but our day temps have been in the mid to upper 70s – and nights in the upper 50s to low 60s! I can dig it! I’m delighted to share another inspiration project for Keep It Simple created with our new Once Upon A Time: Snow White collection. I used papers, stamps and dies from this new collection to make an awesome twisted gate fold, and enjoyed every minute of it. This is such a fantastic fold that’s really easy and packs a punch.

Cut the card base from Papertrey Ink Prairie Grass cardstock at 7-1/2″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 2-1/2″ and 5″. This panel now is divided into three sections. Score the left and right sections from the upper left corner diagonally down to the bottom right corner, leaving the middle section alone. Mountain fold the two diagonal score lines and valley fold the two straight score lines, using a bone folder to burnish the creases.

Cut two panels of patterned paper from the Snow White 12×12 Collection Pack at 2-1/4″ x 3-7/8″ and decide which print you want for the ‘upper’ and ‘lower’ flaps. For the upper flaps (the yellow print on my project), cut the panel diagonally from the upper left corner down to the lower right corner. For the lower flaps (the green print on my project), cut the upper right corner down to the lower left corner. Adhere the panels to the flaps.

Using the Snow White Collection Stamps, stamp Snow White on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Color her with alcohol markers, cut her with the coordinating Outline Die, and adhere her to the card front. Be sure to apply the adhesive only to one side so the card opens and closes properly. Stamp the first part of the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

The sentiment was too large to fit on the inside panel, so I stamped it on a full sheet of 80# Solar White and ran it through the laser printer on 50% reduction. I trimmed the panel and layered it on a slightly larger panel of the Prairie Grass cardstock, and this completed the card. Love, love, love how this turned out!

Crazy cat lady and crafting junkie! We care for 15 feline rescues and just added a Forkie pup to the tribe (Frenchie + Yorkie)! I’m addicted to stamping and love making cards, ATCs, and 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, paper purses and mini albums). I also dabble in mixed media, art journaling, altered art and custom jewelry. If you’re looking for me, I’ll either be in my studio or getting some kitty or puppy lovins! ;)
