hello Friend accordion diorama

Hey everybody, happy Wednesday – I hope you’re having a good week! I’m up on the Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L blog today sharing a tutorial for making an accordion diorama card. This is my debut project as a new designer on this amazing team and I’m over the moon excited! I used a variety of products and they are all listed below. You know I love me some fun folds and I’m always scouting around for new ones to try. I saw a card similar to this one on Pinterest a while back – and once again there was no information about it – so I took a stab at recreating it. The first one I made was a bit more tedious than it needed to be so I ended up fine-tuning it a bit and thus this second version was born. In the end it wasn’t too difficult and I love how it turned out!

Card base was cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Navy Blue cardstock along with layering panels from Doodlebug Design Rainbow Petite Prints (buffalo check-woodgrain and floral-graph). I used the Scrapbook.com Nested A2 Arches Dies for the aperture, along with ribbon and lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon for embellishments. Also used the Hero Arts Here For You Stamp & Die Bundle and paper pieced the floral using two more Doodlebug Design Rainbow Petite Prints (gingham-linen and dot-stripe).

I used quite a few Scrapbook Adhesives products to bring this card to life (all listed below), and even employed the ‘Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside’ technique by adding blue foil to small and medium adhesive dots to make shiny embellishments for the front. OMGosh, it’s SO cool – you need to try it!

I added a sentiment panel with a stamped sentiment to the back, and included a side shot below so you can see the construction. Definitely a fun card to make! If you want to learn how to make it, be sure to see my tutorial on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog!
