Fun Perpetual Calendar

Hey everybody, happy Saturday – I hope you had an amazing Christmas (if you celebrate) and hopefully have something fun planned this weekend! I’m up on the Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L blog today with an inspiration project created with some really fun Doodlebug Design products along with some of the best adhesives ever! Everybody needs to start a new calendar for the new year, right?! I’ve made a few different versions of perpetual calendars over the years and this particular one is my own design from about five years ago.

Doodlebug Design is one of my all-time favorite companies and they invited our design team to collaborate with them so I was MORE than happy to play with lots of their products… another amazing opportunity that I thoroughly enjoyed! When linking to the Doodlebug Design products I used, I discovered they are out of stock on a few of them, but I’ll check back to see if they’ve been restocked and will update my post.

There are lots of pieces to this project and it took several hours to complete… and I enjoyed every stinkin’ minute of it! The E-Z Runner Grand Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser and Dual Tip Glue Pen were my best friends for putting this together. I used Neenah Classic Crest Epic Black 130# cardstock for all the panels and base, which is nice and sturdy. I also used 80# Solar White cardstock, several die sets in my stash, and lots of Doodlebug Design products. I started by creating the panels for the days of the week.

Then I created the panels for the months of the year.

Next I created the panels for the dates in the month (two columns).

And perhaps the most fun of all was creating the panels with seasonal icons. In addition to using more Doodlebug Design products, I employed the ‘Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside’ technique using 3D Foam Snowflakes with Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors and 3D Foam Christmas Shapes with Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Celebrate Colors for a couple of the tabs.

And finally, I created the base, attached the 1/2″ black Zutter wire, and put it all together using my Zutter Bind-It-All.

And here’s one final shot of the completed calendar. If anybody decides to tackle this, I’d love to see your version! There are a few more details on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog, so be sure to check it out!
