Missing You

Hi friends, happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a great week! I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making a ‘missing you’ card in a bold and bright color palette. I used Pop Tone Tangy Orange, Bazzill Basics Peach, Lessebo Sunset Orange, Lessebo Bubblegum Pink, and Pink Tutu, along with 80# Solar White and a 110# Solar White pre-folded card base. These are not colors I would normally choose to work together, but I was aiming for matches to this pretty puffy floral sticker in my stash, and I really like them!

As per the usual, I won’t go into a huge amount of detail, so if you want more info, be sure to check out my post on the CutCardStock blog. I cut 1/4″, 1/2″ and 3/4″ strips from each of the five colors and adhered them diagonally to an 80# Solar White panel. I added Love From Lizi Gold Moondust pinstripe peel-off stickers to the wider strips for a little interest. I affixed a Love From Lizi A Spot of Autumn Thicker Sticker to the lower right-hand corner and stamped a sentiment from the Hero Florals Rose Stem stamp set in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink. The finishing touch was adding several Blush sequins from my stash.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White and adhered a few leftover strips used on the front. I added Gold Moondust pinstripe peel-offs an a smaller Thicker Sticker to carry the design to the inside. I stamped another sentiment from the same stamp set in the blue ink, leaving lots of room to write a custom message.
