Boxed Set of Thank You Cards

Hi everyone! Hope you’ve had a great week – I just love my Fridays! Today is my post day on the Dare 2B Artzy blog and I’m stoked to share a DT inspiration project using the gorgeous Flowers for Mom stamp set and coordinating Joyful Flower dies, along with Artzy Doodles Bright Pumpkin paper!

I created an awesome boxed set of six thank you cards, three each of two different CAS designs. My inspiration for this project came from a YouTube tutorial HERE. Can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this! My version has a velcro closure under the flap, and I also decorated the back of the box. I used punches (extra large oval and extra large scallop) for the stamped sentiment. And I’m so sad that this grosgrain bow is my very last one. Sniff-sniff. And I don’t even remember where I got these but I sure have enjoyed them!

Orange is not usually my first choice of colors but I sure was diggin’ this, lol! My whole mindset was ‘bright colors’ and orange just fit the bill this time. I’m in love with the Artzy Doodles Variety Paper Pack! And yes, ALL of the Dare 2B Artzy papers have a patterned strip across the top which coordinates perfectly! This Bright Pumpkin layered on the white is just gorgeous against the slightly darker shade of orange cardstock used to create the box.

The card bases I used are 3-1/2″ x 5″ with slightly larger envelopes, and were perfect for this project considering the size of the die cut flowers. I prepared the panels first – cut the white pieces and stamped the thank you sentiment on each using a stamp positioner. I then cut slightly larger layering pieces from black cardstock and adhered them to the card bases. I stamped each flower three times in Totally Black ink on white cardstock, then colored them all, doing each set of flowers in the same color schemes. Once all the coloring was done, I cut them all with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the card bases. I finished them off with a few sparkly elements for some added interest.

And here’s a shot of the back of the box. Love, love, love how this project turned out! I’ve already made another boxed set of standard A2 sized cards with a magnet closure on the box. I’ve adjusted the measurements of the box for that project and will share soon, so stay tuned! :D

Dream Big Stationery Box

Hi everybody! I can’t even begin to tell you how stoked I am to be a new member of the Dare 2B Artzy design team! A dream come true! Awesome stamps, dies, ink and paper – I’m in my element! Today is my post day on the Dare 2B Artzy blog and I’m happy to share my first DT inspiration project using the Dream Big stamp set, Paradise and Margarita Lime inks, Botanical Breeze paper and Feather die.

I created a fun stationery box that holds a set of eight note cards, a pack of gum and some post-it notes. You know me… I love my fancy folds and 3-D projects, and this was an absolute blast to make! My inspiration came from a YouTube video and you can find the tutorial HERE. The box top features an embossed panel with a watercolored feather and some Crystal Drops. Yep, you can watercolor with these awesome inks!

The top comes off and the front folds down to reveal a little ‘desk’ with a pen and pockets for goodies.

I stamped on the desk and then clear embossed over the stamping using a stamp positioner.

The note cards are in the large pocket and I’ve tucked gum and some neon yellow post-it notes in the smaller pockets. Love, love, love!

My hubby had the idea of using tiny magnets on the slim panels on the back. Works great! I have him around for good reason, lol! ;)

Here are shots of the note cards. Four have the stamped sentiment angled upward and four have the sentiment angled downward. They all have a watercolored feather die cut matching the one on the box lid as well as several Crystal Drops.

Clutch Purse Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone! I’m back with another post, this time with a fun clutch purse gift card holder created for the new challenge over at Craft for the Craic! As you know, I’m a guestie for the next little while and it’s the 2nd Birthday/Anniversary of this sweet Irish challenge blog. The theme for February is “Something with Two on it” which could be the number two, two mediums, two colors, etc.

What better way to say Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary than with a gift card… a gift card in a cute little clutch purse! I’m using double-sided paper featuring orange and green which covers the ‘two’ needed for the challenge theme. I fashioned the envelope out of matching paper and cardstock.

When I found this clutch purse cut file in the Silhouette store, I knew I had to have it! I see lots of these in my future – great for any occasion! They are super easy and really pack a powerful punch! :)
