Sweet!

Hey everybody! Wishing you all a lovely week coming up! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #72! I created a clean and simple congrats card for this challenge using the Tropical Fruit Dies from CottageCutz! I’ve had these dies in my stash for several years and have never used them, so they came out for a play! I’m still on my quest to use ‘barely used’ or ‘never used’ stamps and dies in my stash this year, and I’ve done pretty well!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I die cut the CottageCutz Tropical Fruit pieces from Basis Natural cardstock as well and colored them with alcohol markers. I added a strip of Eyelet Outlet purple check washi tape across the bottom of the card base and arranged the fruit die cuts on it to ground them on a faux table cloth. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Bravo stamp set in Catherine Pooler Catching Rays ink and outlined the right side of each letter with a Sharpie Dark Pink Ultra Fine Point marker.

I kept the inside clean and simple as well, and stamped the sentiment (also from the Stampin’ Up Bravo stamp set) in Catherine Pooler Catching Rays ink.

7/9/23 CAS Weekly Favorite at Splitcoast Stampers!

Hey everybody! Wishing you all a wonderful Friday! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share that consists mainly of organic/free-form shaped images! This clean and simple card features our Cougar Smooth White, Pop-Tone Black Licorice and Stardream Metallic Amethyst cardstock. AND one of my favorite purple and teal color combos! These stamps have been sitting on my desk for months and I’m not sure why I haven’t used them before now… this is truly one of the easiest cards I’ve ever made!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base along with layering panels from Cougar Smooth 80# White and Pop Tone Black cardstock, and rounded the bottom right corners. I stamped the free-form shaped images from the My Favorite Things Petite Prints stamp set in Catherine Pooler Serenade and Cummerbund inks and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added the punched circles in random areas, popping them up on foam pads. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Charming Sentiments stamp set in black ink on a Cougar scrap and cut it with the coordinating Charming Sentiments die. I added a few clear iridescent gemstones which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Cougar cardstock and embellished it with Pop Tone Black Licorice, Stardream Metallic Amethyst and Cougar White strips. I added another sentiment from the same Stampin’ Up Charming Sentiment stamps and dies.

Scrappy hugs,

jolly

Hi friends! I hope you have something really fun planned this weekend! Today is my baby boy’s 37th birthday and I keep asking myself ‘Where have all these years gone?! He was just a baby yesterday!’ It’s been so awesome watching him grow and develop into the wonderful man and father he’s become! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project! This clean and simple Christmas card features three different Sizzix die sets and was so fun putting together!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and die cut the holes in the bottom of the front flap using the Sizzix Festive Repeat Thinlits which I backed with a piece of silver glitter vinyl. I die cut the Santa snowglobe from the Sizzix Tiny Snowglobes and colored all the pieces with alcohol markers. I die cut the ‘jolly’ sentiment from CutCardStock Pop Tone Wild Cherry cardstock which I adhered under the snowglobe. The final touch was adding several Eyelet Outlet snowflake brads (prongs removed) popped up on Stampin’ Up mini dimensionals.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a couple strips of CutCardStock Pop Tone Wild Cherry cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the Keep It Simple Scandinavian Christmas Gnomes stamp set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink, cut it with a Spellbinders Standard Circles die and layered it on a slightly larger circle die cut.

Scrappy hugs,

It’s Christmoose

Howdy peeps! I hope you are enjoying some of this glorious weather and you’re not in one of the ‘melting’ states. I feel so bad for all those people dealing with scorching temps! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project. This clean and simple Christmas card features a circular aperture and the most adorable little moose peeking out! I won this Clearly Besotted stamp set about three years ago and have only used it a couple times, so it was time to bring it out for another play!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock and punched a circular opening using the Stampin’ Up 2″ circle punch. I die cut a square from a green plaid paper in the Keep It Simple Jade 12×12 Collection Pack using a My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Square STAX die and punched a circle in it to adhere over the aperture. I stamped a sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Merry Christmoose stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The finishing touch to the front was adhering several Eyelet Outlet red sequins.

I stamped a sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Merry Christmoose stamp set in black ink along with the adorable little moose (seen through the aperture) which I colored with alcohol markers.

Hey everybody, Happy Monday! I hope you’re having a great day! I have another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project to share. This clean and simple Christmas card features the Hero Arts Color Layering Holly stamps and dies which I just love!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock. I stamped the holly images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Holly stamp set in Catherine Pooler Sage, Eucalyptus and Spruce inks, and cut them with the coordinating Hero Arts Color Layering Holly dies. I stamped the sentiment in Eucalyptus ink and adhered the stamped and die cut images to the card front. I added Eyelet Outlet 8mm red cut jewels to the images for the holly berries and a few 4mm white pearls to the background.

In keeping with the CAS design, I simply stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in Eucalyptus ink.

6/11/23 Rising Star at A Place To Start!
6/22/23 Winner at Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog!

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great week! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share featuring Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock (a staple in my studio) that I paired with our Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock! This pretty birthday card was created in black and white with just a pop of red, which is one of my all-time favorite color combos! The best part is the supply list for this clean and simple design is minimal and the card is easy to reproduce!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White along with small layering panels from Solar White and CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice. I created an off-center frame by die cutting a stitched rectangle into the Solar White panel using a My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX die which I retained for later use. I hand cut a rectangle into the Black Licorice panel, adhered the frame panels together, and applied double-sided foam strips to the back.

I applied Doodlebug Design Beetle Black Swiss Dot washi tape to a strip of Solar White cardstock which I layered horizontally beneath the frame. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Layering Leaves stamp set at the top of the card base front in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then stamped the florals (from the same stamp set) on Solar White cardstock in black ink, punched them with the coordinating Stampin’ Up Bough Punch, and adhered them to the stitched rectangle which I adhered inside the frame. I added a small red bow fashioned from Stampin’ Up Real Red ribbon and several Eyelet Outlet small red gemstones, which completed the card front.

For the inside, in keeping with the design on the front, I applied Doodlebug Design Beetle Black Swiss Dot washi tape to another strip of Solar White cardstock which I layered horizontally across the top. The final step was stamping the sentiment (from the same Stampin’ Up Layering Leaves stamp set) in Tuxedo Black ink on the second stitched rectangle die cut.

Scrappy hugs,

happy place note card

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – I hope you had a great weekend! Our new challenge is live over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my project for LTSCB #161 – Anything Goes! I created a mini slimline note card featuring a tiny globe from the Sizzix Tiny Travel Globe Thinlits. I love all of them in this set! And who wouldn’t love being on this island?! I know I would… definitely my happy place!

I cut a mini slimline card base measuring 3-1/2″ x 6″ from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a background panel cut from CutCardStock Pop Tone Jellybean Green cardstock using a Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Postage Stamp Edge Die. I die cut all the tiny globe pieces from 80# Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers, and assembled and adhered the globe in the right lower corner of the card front. The die cut part of the sentiment was created with a Sizzix Script Celebration Words die (cut from Solar White cardstock), and the stamped part was created with a fussy-cut word from one of the sentiments in the Prickley Pear Stamps Frog Pals Spinach and Ramona stamp set. I finished the front with several Eyelet Outlet brown pearls.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock, adhered it to a postage stamp edge die cut like the one on the front, and embellished it with a leftover negative space strip. Since this is a note card, I left the inside blank to write a custom message.

I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an adorable CAS-ish card featuring the You Are My Sunshine stamps which are part of the amazing Celestial Collection! I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I stamped the sun from the You Are My Sunshine stamps in Catherine Pooler Limoncello ink on a yellow patterned paper from the Keep It Simple Lemon 12 x 12 Collection, fussy cut it, and adhered it to the card base. Next, I stamped those adorable little flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them as well. I stamped the rounded sentiment under the sun in Catherine Pooler Limoncello ink and adhered the flowers in the bottom right corner. Hey everybody! Happy Thursday! I hope your weather is warming up so can enjoy some outdoor time!
