3/31/22 DT Favorite Winner at classic Design Challenge Blog!

Hey everybody – Happy Monday! Have some good news… our last two un-fixed feline kids (little girl Flutterby and little boy Fogg) are going to the vet tomorrow to get fixed, and then all 18 are done! Whew! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve stopped in this morning to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project. This pretty encouragement card features the In The Meadow Washi Tape and Dies from PinkFresh Studio along with the Yvonne Creations Trellis Frame die, and all panels were adhered with Tape Runner. This is another card that I donated to Cards for Cubs. ;)

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the trellis die cut and narrow sentiment strip. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and the trellis die cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, and adhered the die cut to the card front. I applied the PinkFresh Studio In The Meadow washi tape to a piece of Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock (heavyweight for stability) and then cut the florals with the coordinating PinkFresh Studio In The Meadow die set. I adhered the largest cluster to the top of the trellis die cut. I had already used the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System, Spellbinders Glimmer Gold Foil and Spellbinders Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to create a variety of sentiments on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock. I chose the sentiment from the bunch that I wanted to use on this card and adhered it toward the bottom of the card front. The finishing touch was adding tiny dots of Ranger Glossy Accents to the berries on the cluster.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with some small leaves created with the PinkFresh In The Meadow Washi Tape and cut with the coordinating die. I layered the panel on CutCardStock Amaranth cardstock which completed the card.

And here’s one more peek… so loving how this turned out! I love knowing how secure the panels are when adhering them with Tape Runner!

3/31/22 Top Pick at Crafting Happiness Challenges!

Hi friends! Happy Happy Monday! I had another post scheduled for this morning and rescheduled it so I could share another card with an alcohol pearls on acetate background! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! OMGoodness, I’m obsessed with alcohol pearls! I’ve asked before if there’s a 12-step program for my Scan N Cut, and now I ask if there’s one for alcohol pearls! Bahahahaha! They are addictive, for sure! And like regular alcohol inks, no two ever turn out the same – and these have such a gorgeous metallic sheen to them!

I started by creating a background panel on acetate. I dropped Ranger Divine and Opulent Alcohol Pearls onto the acetate and pounced a Ranger Alcohol Ink Applicator Tool with Felt to distribute the alcohol pearls, then trimmed the panel. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with a border using the Paper Rose Snowflake Border Die. This die, too, was actually created to cut directly into the card base (just like the Paper Rose Gum Leaf Border Die I used last week) so I tweaked it a bit and created a separate panel that I adhered my alcohol pearl background beneath, then to metallic silver foil, and then to the front of the card base on double-sided adhesive foam strips.

Using my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System, Spellbinders Glimmer Silver Foil, and Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Plate and Die Set, I created a sentiment strip on CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock which I trimmed and adhered across the bottom of the card front on a double-sided adhesive foam strip. I added medium sized iridescent gemstones to the center of three of the snowflakes on the left side as well as three tiny ones on the right side.

Here’s a close-up of the panel which, when layered on silver metallic foil cardstock, really shows the sheen. I so love this!

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and embellished it with a wide strip of the silver metallic foil cardstock and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Basis Blue cardstock. I added another foiled sentiment and layered the panel on the blue cardstock.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! And yes, you all know that I’m one of those who creates Christmas cards all year long! I couldn’t wait to share this one! ;)

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a fabulous week and not working too hard, regardless of where you’re working! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring cardstock from our gorgeous line of Curious Metallic that’s on sale this month! Be sure to stock up – this is one of my many favorites! I created a pretty thinking of you card with Curious Metallic White Gold cardstock and Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock along with an alcohol pearls background beneath the Paper Rose Gum Leaf Border Die.

I started by creating a vellum background panel. I dropped Ranger Elixir and Radiant Alcohol Pearls onto the vellum and pounced a Ranger Alcohol Ink Applicator Tool with Felt to distribute the alcohol pearls, then trimmed the panel. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Curious Metallic White Gold cardstock along with a border using the Paper Rose Gum Leaf Border Die. The die was actually created to cut directly into the card base so I tweaked it a bit and created a separate panel that I could adhere my alcohol pearl background beneath and then adhere both to the front of the card base. Using my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System, Spellbinders Glimmer Gold Foil, and Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Plate and Die Set, I created a sentiment strip on Neenah Classic Baronial Ivory cardstock which I trimmed and adhered across the bottom of the card front on a double-sided adhesive foam strip. I added several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Andradite Sparkle Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Baronial Ivory cardstock and embellished it with narrow strips of Curious Metallic White Gold cardstock and Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments stamp set in Memento Cottage Ivy ink and layered the panel on gold leaf cardstock.

And one more peek… this cardstock is SO pretty and makes card designs absolutely pop! Love how this turned out!

Sending Birthday Wishes

Hi everybody! It’s Thursday already and I hope you’ve had a fabulous week! We only had one appointment this week and it was to get shots for two of our inside feline kids. I keep the inside and outside kitty appointments in the same planner I keep Ed’s and my appointments in, lol, since there are quite a few to keep up with! ;) Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in today to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project!

Y’all, this card literally took five minutes to make. Yep, you read that right… five minutes… albeit I already had the floral die cut and the foiled sentiment made. It would have taken a little longer had I needed to make those as well. So let me side-track for a minute… I got the four sets of PinkFresh Studio coordinating washi tape and die sets last week that I’ve been wanting, and I’m in love! They are ah-maaazing and so fun to play with! I die cut whole sets at once so they’re ready to put on cards. And the foiled sentiment is one of many that I made a while back when I got my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System.

The panels and floral die cut were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the narrow sentiment strip and gemstones. Using the Papertrey Ink Noted: Scalloped A2 Die Collection, I cut a standard size A2 stitched scalloped card base and stitched rectangle layering panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock. I had already applied the PinkFresh Studio Joyful Bouquet washi tape to a piece of Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock (heavyweight for stability) and then cut the florals with the coordinating PinkFresh Studio Joyful Bouquet die set. I adhered the largest bouquet to the stitched rectangle layering panel.

I had already used the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System, Spellbinders Glimmer Gold Foil and Spellbinders Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to create a variety of sentiments on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock. So I chose the sentiment from the bunch that I wanted to use on this card and adhered it across the bottom portion of the bouquet. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Amber Glow Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick-Up Stick.

I cut a second stitched rectangle layering panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock using the Papertrey Ink Noted: Scalloped A2 Die Collection and adhered it to the inside of the card base. I’m donating this card to the Bearly Arts Cards for Cubs project so I left the inside blank with plenty of room to write a custom message.

And one more peek… I’m smitten with this super simple card and can’t wait to make more using the Retractable Tape Runner to assemble them! So clean and easy to use!
