Sweet!

Hey everybody! Wishing you all a lovely week coming up! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #72! I created a clean and simple congrats card for this challenge using the Tropical Fruit Dies from CottageCutz! I’ve had these dies in my stash for several years and have never used them, so they came out for a play! I’m still on my quest to use ‘barely used’ or ‘never used’ stamps and dies in my stash this year, and I’ve done pretty well!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I die cut the CottageCutz Tropical Fruit pieces from Basis Natural cardstock as well and colored them with alcohol markers. I added a strip of Eyelet Outlet purple check washi tape across the bottom of the card base and arranged the fruit die cuts on it to ground them on a faux table cloth. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Bravo stamp set in Catherine Pooler Catching Rays ink and outlined the right side of each letter with a Sharpie Dark Pink Ultra Fine Point marker.

I kept the inside clean and simple as well, and stamped the sentiment (also from the Stampin’ Up Bravo stamp set) in Catherine Pooler Catching Rays ink.

Ho Ho Ho Corner Fold

Hey everybody! Happy Monday! Are the weeks flying by, or is it just me?! Bahahaha… I know it’s not just me! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with another inspiration project featuring the cute-as-a-button Santa and Rudolph stamps and dies! This corner fold is part of our design team’s ‘Christmas in July’ showcase and is truly one of the easiest fun folds I’ve made that stands for display. I’ve made quite a few of them over the years in roughly an A2 size but I tweaked the measurements a bit and made this one in my mini slimline size of 3-1/2″ x 6″.

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock and layering panels from a patterned paper in the Echo Park A Perfect Christmas Collection Kit. I stamped the sentiment and Santa image from the Prickley Pear Stamps Santa and Rudolph stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the Cougar Smooth White, colored the image with alcohol markers and Bic Mark-It fine point markers, and cut it with the coordinating Prickley Pear Stamps Santa and Rudolph die set. Using the Keep It Simple Stitched Rectangles Nested Dies, I die cut a rectangle from Cougar White and then cut a slightly larger rectangle (using the paper trimmer) from CutCardStock Pop Tone Jellybean Green cardstock to create the focal panel.

Easter Truck

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’m delighted to share another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project featuring the amazing Vintage Truck Dies along with the Bunny Season Easter Egg Stamps and Bunny Season Easter Egg Outline Die! Yes, I know… Easter is behind us but I’m sure by now you know I’m not a seasonal crafter! I have fun crafting all year long with the products I love and always enjoy getting a head-start on any season!

I cut a square top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a pretty dotted pattern from the Lilac 12×12 Collection Pack. Then, using the Vintage Truck dies and additional prints from the Lilac Collection Pack, as well as Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White and CutCardStock Dolphin Gray, Shadow Gray, Pop Tone Black Licorice, Bright Silver Foil and Tartan Red cardstock, I cut the truck pieces and assembled it on the card front. Using the Bunny Season Easter Egg Outline Die along with prints from the Jade 12×12 Collection Pack, Lemon 12×12 Collection Pack and Rose 12×12 Collection Pack, I die cut the Easter eggs and tucked them into the bed of the truck. Finally using the Bunny Season Easter Egg Stamps, I stamped the sentiment on the tail gate and license plate in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I cut the inside panel from two prints in the Lilac 12×12 Collection Pack as well as a truck shape from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White, and stamped another sentiment from the Bunny Season Easter Egg stamps in black ink.

Scrappy hugs,

Birthday Girl fun fold

Howdy peeps! Happy Saturday – I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project! Half down, half to go! ;) I was inspired to try a diamond origami fold that was showcased in an older Splitcoast Stampers tutorial HERE. Definitely a unique fold that I so enjoyed making!

I created the card base from a full 12×12 sheet of patterned paper in the Colorbok Mint Julep Designer paper pad. I used CutCardStock Flamingo cardstock to embellish the front and middle layers. I stamped the t-shirt from the Stampin’ Up Custom Tee stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a coordinating print in the same paper pad and cut it with the coordinating Stampin’ Up T-Shirt Builder Framelits. I colored the collar and added Stampendous pink Dot Sparklers for the buttons. Next, I stamped the front sentiment on CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock in black ink and cut it with the coordinating die.

I stamped a sentiment on the middle layer from the same Stampin’ Up Custom Tee stamp set in black ink and embellished the panel with several more Stampendous pink Dot Sparklers. Finally, I embellished the inside panel with a strip of another coordinating patterned paper in the Colorbok Mint Julep Designer Paper and stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up birthday Blossoms stamp set in Catherine Pooler Polished ink.

Here are sequential shots of the card opening up. Love how this turned out!

Accordion Mini Album

Happy Friday, everybody! I’m back this morning to share an awesome Keep It Simple DT inspiration project! Today is the official launch of our new Craft Mode Collection! OMGoodness, cutness overload! You haven’t seen FUN until you’ve seen all the papers, stamps, dies, die cut pieces, and enamel dots in this collection! And the COLORS… oh my! I created a super cute accordion mini album with pockets and pull-outs!

I cut a 4″ square accordion mini album from CutCardStock Basis 80# White 12×12 cardstock. Using the fairly new Stitched Squares Nested Dies, I cut five squares from different colors in the Craft Mode 6×9 Cardstock Pack.

I created pockets from three of the four die cut squares by punching half-circle thumb notches at the tops and adhering the squares with thin (1mm thick) foam squares. I created three top-folding pull-ups for the pockets and embellished them with squares die cut from patterns in the Craft Mode 6×9 Collection Pack using the Stitched Squares Nested Dies and the reserved half-circles. I also used Craft Mode Die Cut Pieces, At the Expo Die Cut Pieces and Craft Mode Enamel Dots to embellish the front of the album, the inside pages and the three pull-ups.

hey, there!

7/9/23 CAS Weekly Favorite at Splitcoast Stampers!

Hey everybody! Wishing you all a wonderful Friday! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share that consists mainly of organic/free-form shaped images! This clean and simple card features our Cougar Smooth White, Pop-Tone Black Licorice and Stardream Metallic Amethyst cardstock. AND one of my favorite purple and teal color combos! These stamps have been sitting on my desk for months and I’m not sure why I haven’t used them before now… this is truly one of the easiest cards I’ve ever made!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base along with layering panels from Cougar Smooth 80# White and Pop Tone Black cardstock, and rounded the bottom right corners. I stamped the free-form shaped images from the My Favorite Things Petite Prints stamp set in Catherine Pooler Serenade and Cummerbund inks and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added the punched circles in random areas, popping them up on foam pads. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Charming Sentiments stamp set in black ink on a Cougar scrap and cut it with the coordinating Charming Sentiments die. I added a few clear iridescent gemstones which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Cougar cardstock and embellished it with Pop Tone Black Licorice, Stardream Metallic Amethyst and Cougar White strips. I added another sentiment from the same Stampin’ Up Charming Sentiment stamps and dies.

Love

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a most excellent week! I’m trying to stay indoors as much as possible… the biting insects seem to be at an all-time high. We’ve never had to use any kind of insect repellant but we’ve turned to Deep Woods Off this year, lol! I’m delighted to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project featuring a mixture of digital and pre-printed papers. I love a red and black color combo, and this card has just a hint of a vintage feel!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Chantalia Design Dotted Diamonds digital paper and a print from the Canvas Corp A Little Love Paper Collection. I rounded the bottom right corner of all the pieces. Using the Memory Box Stitched Heart Layers, I die cut two hearts from additional prints in the Canvas Corp paper pack, and added a trimmed strip and fussy-cut sentiment from two more prints in the paper pack.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of the Chantalia Design Dotted Diamonds digital paper used on the front, and added a trimmed sentiment from another print in the Canvas Corp A Little Love Paper Collection.

7/20/23 Top 3 at Penny’s Paper-Crafting Challenge Blog!

Hey everybody! I hope all my American friends had a nice long July 4th weekend! I’ve popped in this morning to share another inspiration project for Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT! The triple cube has become one of my favorite fun folds to create, and this one in black and kraft with a pop of gold just knocks my socks off! Love how it turned out!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock along with squares from CutCardStock Bright Gold Foil and Canvas Corp Black & Kraft Paper Collection. I cut the sentiment panel and back layering panels from CutCardStock Brown Bag Kraft paper. I stamped the front sentiment from the Stampin’ Up For The New Two stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I stamped the back sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Scalloped Oval 4-Floral stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I’ve also included a shot of the card folded flat for mailing. This is definitely a fun one!

Scrappy hugs,

Get Well

Hi friends! I hope your week has started off nicely, and if you’re in the States, you’re enjoying some beautiful 4th of July weather! I’m still plugging away sharing my Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration projects! This pretty get well mini slimline features an inked and embossed background along with a floral element using some of the Sizzix Colorize Bloom Thinlits which I created in various tones of orange.

I cut my go-to mini slimline size of 3-1/2″ x 6″ card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from 80# Solar White and CutCardStock Pop Tone Orange Fizz cardstock using the Waffle Flowers Mini Slimline Layers dies. I stamped the background on the Solar White layer using the Hero Arts Diamond Background stamp in Versamark, and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and my Milwaukee Heat Tool. I laid some Ranger dried marigold distress ink down on my craft mat, spritzed it with water in my Ranger distress sprayer and pounced the embossed panel into it, creating a nice layer of color.

I created the floral element using CutCardStock Pop Tone Orange Fizz, Basis Orange, Stardream Metallic Flame, Basis Dark Orange, Kale Green, Pop Tone Gumdrop Green and Pop Tone Jellybean Green cardstock and the Sizzix Colorize Bloom Thinlits. I added a sentiment from the Keep It Simple Get Well sentiments stamp set, stamped in Catherine Pooler Orange Peel ink, which I fussy cut. The finishing touch was adding several Eyelet Outlet orange pearls.

I die cut the inside panels from 80# Solar White and CutCardStock Pop Tone Orange Fizz cardstock using the same Waffle Flower Mini Slimline Layers dies. I embellished the white panel with leftover strips of the inked and embossed background on the front and Orange Fizz cardstock, and stamped a sentiment from the same Keep It Simple Get Well sentiments stamp set in Catherine Pooler Orange Peel ink.

7/13/23 Top Pick at Cardz 4 Galz!

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday and Happy Independence Day to America! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the most adorable Santa and Rudolph stamps and dies! The Prickley Pear Stamps design team is doing ‘Christmas in July’ and I thought these would be perfect! I caught a glimpse of this swing flap fun fold on Facebook and made one. I enjoyed it so much that I made another one for a guest gig next month! I love it and it might just be my new favorite!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Red cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Natural and a print in the Hot Off The Press Christmas Memories 6×6 double sided paper pack. I stamped the deer image from the Prickley Pear Stamps Santa and Rudolph stamp set in Memento Espresso Truffle ink on Basis Natural cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers and cut it with the coordinating Prickley Pear Stamps Santa and Rudolph die.

Using Keep It Simple Stitched Squares Nested Dies, I die cut a square from the red cardstock and a smaller one from the patterned paper, and stamped snow and snowflakes (from the same stamp set) on the smaller one in Catherine Pooler Tranquil ink. I adhered the layers together and then stamped the sentiment in brown ink at the bottom beneath the focal panel.

I layered a coordinating print from the Hot Off The Press Christmas Memories paper pack on the inside and stamped another sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Santa and Rudolph stamp set in Memento Espresso Truffle ink. The final photo shows the card folded flat for mailing. OMGosh, I love this!
