8/15/22 CAS Weekly Favorite at Splitcoast Stampers!

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a pretty clean and simple thank you card using more of the new brads in the store along with my favorite enamel dots! This card came together really quickly!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding landscape card base and a layering panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I stamped flower stems and leaves in green ink in the bottom right quadrant of the layering panel, and then stamped the sentiment in pink ink just to the left of the stems and leaves. I added five Colored Daisy Brads and adhered the panel to the card base. The final touch was adding several White Enamel Dots to complete the front panel.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of pink striped paper, stamped the sentiment in green ink and adhered the panel directly to the inside of the card base.

And one more look… such a pretty CAS design to say thank you! Loving these new daisy brads!

Fishing Rules

4/30/21 Spotlight Winner at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge!

Hi everyone! I hope you’ve had a great week and will be doing something fun (and safe) this weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a fun hybrid Father’s Day card featuring a slew of awesome brads and of course some washi tape!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from CutCardStock Curious Metallic Night cardstock. I cut a background panel from CutCardStock Sandcastle cardstock and covered it with Sky Washi Tape-Wide and Water Washi Tape, then printed the Fishing Rules digital image on CutCardStock Brown Bag Kraft cardstock, fussy cut it and adhered it to the background panel. I hand-drew the sign post with a black Pigma Micron pen, as the post was not included with the digital image. I tore a scrap of brown bag kraft cardstock to create a sand dune, and added Fishing Lure Brads, a Fishing Pole Brad, Trout and Bass Brads, a Wine Brad (don’t laugh – I didn’t have the beer brads yet and the wine bottle looked like it could pass for a beer bottle, lol, but I have linked to the beer brads!), a Seagull Brad and Shell Brads to create my little beach scene.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Sandcastle cardstock and embellished it with a strip of CutCardStock Brown Bag Kraft cardstock, a narrow strip of the sandcastle cardstock for a tone-on-tone effect, and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Curious Metallic Night cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in black ink on a scrap of the sandcastle cardstock, cut it with a stitched rectangle die and layered it on a slightly larger black cardstock die cut, and then layered the panel on the twine cardstock.

And one more look… I chuckled the entire time I was creating this! Absolutely love how it turned out! ;)

Merry Christmoose

Hi everyone! OMGosh, the weather here is absolutely gorgeous! Three of our cats ninja’d their way out the front door yesterday (they are all inside cats) just so they could enjoy the beautiful weather on the loose, I’m sure! Luckily, they didn’t stay out long. They do have a backyard catio that Ed built several years ago, so they get to go out whenever they want! Darn kids! ;) Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a Christmas card (see, I’m still in that mode…) using some awesome brads, washi tape and my favorite enamel dots!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel for the front from Neenah Classic Linen 80# Solar White cardstock. I die cut the Alpines from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock (snow caps) and an assortment of papers from the Core’dinations Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection, and inked the edges of the pieces with pumice stone distress ink before assembling them. I added two Moose Brads and adhered the Alpines to the linen layering panel. I added two angled strips of Copper Skinny Washi Tape, adhered the panel to a piece of white craft foam and then adhered the piece to the card base. I stamped the sentiment in brown ink, cut it with a stitched oval die and layered it on a slightly larger green die cut, and adhered it to the background panel. The finishing touch was the addition of several White Enamel Dots.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips of the Core’dinations Kraft-Core used on the front, stamped the sentiment in brown ink and layered the panel on more of the Core’dinations Kraft-Core.

And one more look… totally loving how this turned out! These brads are so fun!

Dad. The Man. The Myth. The Legend.

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all doing well and staying safe! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a cool Father’s Day card featuring lots of manly brads and washi tape! Oh, so fun!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding landscape card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock. I then cut strips from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and CutCardStock Royal Sundance Linen Burgundy cardstock which I layered together and added a strip of Tool Washi Tape across the bottom. I adhered a very thin strip of the burgundy linen cardstock across the top edge of the washi tape for a little definition. I added Tool Box and Nail Brads, Tool Brads and Screw Brads to the panel before adhering it to the card base on foam pads. I stamped the sentiment in red ink, cut it with a stitched square die, and adhered it to the panel.

I cut inside layering panels from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and CutCardStock Royal Sundance Linen Burgundy cardstock, and embellished the white panel with a strip of Tool Washi Tape across the bottom along with a very narrow strip of the burgundy linen cardstock adhered across the top edge of the washi tape. I stamped the sentiment in red ink, layered the panels together and adhered them to the inside of the card base.

One more peek… such a fun design! And what man doesn’t love tools?!

wish you were here

Hi everyone! The last several days are a blur and the weekend is here already! I’m retired and it seems that I’m busier now than I’ve ever been – even when I was raising kids and working full-time outside the home! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a fun ‘missing you’ card featuring a very cool assortment of washi tape and brads!

I created a top-folding A2 size landscape card base and a slightly smaller panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and built my country road scene from Sky Washi Tape – Wide, Grass Washi Tape and Road Washi Tape. I added the little Red Truck Brad and some Summer Tree Brads, and then stamped the birds and sentiment in Jet Black ink.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of the grass washi tape, stamped the sentiment in black ink and layered the panel on green cardstock.

One more look… such an adorable card and I love the way it turned out! I grew up in a rural area and this sure does remind me of being the only vehicle on a country road sometimes for miles and miles!

Hey Chick!

Hi everyone! We are busting right through March – can you believe it?! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m excited to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a friendship card featuring some super fun brads and some pearls to doll it up!

First of all, aren’t these Chicken Brads just a hoot?! When I saw them, I knew I had to have them because I have the perfect stamp set to use with them! I created a top folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I dug into my digital image stash and found a small chicken wire image that I duplicated multiple times and pieced together to make it large enough to go across the panel, keeping it proportional to the size of the chicken brads. I complimented the white cardstock with yellow cardstock, and stamped the sentiment in black ink. I added the Chicken Brads, a few scattered pearls from a White Pearl Bling Strip on the background and three slightly larger White Pearl Bling on the yellow cardstock strip. I colored all the pearls with a tan-colored alcohol marker prior to affixing them to the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of the yellow cardstock used on the front, stamped the sentiment in black, and layered the panel on the yellow.

And here’s one more peek… I absolutely love how this turned out! Those chicken brads are so fun!

hello Gorgeous

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday to you! They sure roll around fast, don’t they?! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m thrilled to be on the Eyelet Outlet Blog today with a fun DT inspiration project and something a little different than the last few projects I’ve posted! My last several cards were created with the new quarantined-inspired brads in the store and were a series of clean and simple cards paying tribute to our frontline healthcare workers. It’s almost the middle of March and I thought a pretty Spring-themed friendship card was in order so I used some fun epoxy flowers embellished with clear bling on the front and some lovely purple check washi tape on the inside!

I created a standard A2 size top-folding card base (my favorite, can you tell?!) and a strip from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I layered the white strip on a slightly larger strip of CutCardStock Granny Smith cardstock and adhered some leftover negative-space circles that I’ve had on my desk for several months. These circles were layered on pink cardstock and they were so pretty I didn’t want to throw them away – and I figured if I left them out on my desk I’d find a use for them sooner rather than later! SCORE! I adhered an Epoxy Flower to the center of each circle and then a Clear Jewel to the center of each flower. I stamped the sentiment in purple ink and that completed the front of this super simple card.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of white cardstock layered on a piece of green cardstock with an added strip of Purple Checked Washi Tape. I adhered the layered strip to the left side of the inside panel, stamped the inside sentiment in purple ink and layered the panel on green cardstock.

And one more look… totally loving how this turned out! I can’t believe how I’m navigating toward CAS these days. Less is definitely more!

stay classy

Hi friends! How’s the weather where you are? It’s still pretty chilly here in southwestern Colorado but we’re definitely not sad about it – we moved out here from Florida almost four years ago to retire in cooler climate! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! This is the last card in my series of clean and simple cards paying tribute to our frontline healthcare workers. This one is lighthearted with computer-generated front and inside sentiments and an added stamped sentiment on the front to tie in the glitz and glam from the washi tape and fancy long bling!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from black cardstock. The front and inside sentiments are computer-generated and printed on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock. I trimmed the panels and stamped the ‘stay classy’ sentiment at an angle just above the front sentiment. I added a strip of Gold Glitter Skinny Washi Tape and Pink Fancy Long Bling-Pearls & Jewels vertically down the left side, added two Toilet Paper Brads just to the left of the sentiment, and adhered the panel to the card base.

I embellished the inside panel with a single strip of the Gold Glitter Skinny Washi Tape and adhered the panel to the card base.

Here’s one more look… I’m absolutely loving how this turned out! Lighthearted pun is fun! ;)

Just Breathe…

Happy Saturday, peeps! I hope you had a spectacular week – they sure are going by fast, aren’t they?! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created another CAS card to add to my series of clean and simple cards paying tribute to our frontline healthcare workers. This card features a single quarantine-inspired brad (from a series of brads that are new in the store) along with some washi tape and my favorite enamel dots!

Another super simple design that would be easy to mass produce. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from dark teal cardstock, and rounded the top right and bottom left corners. I printed computer-generated sentiments on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, trimmed the panels and rounded the corners. I applied two strips of Sky Washi Tape horizontally across the lower portion of the front panel and then added a strip of Silver Dots Skinny Washi Tape across the seam of the two Sky strips. I added a Mask Brad just to the left of the sentiment and three White Enamel Dots, then adhered the panel to a teal cardstock layer.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the Sky Washi Tape and Silver Dots Skinny Washi Tape, and adhered it on a teal cardstock layer.

And one more peek… so loving how this simple design turned out. It doesn’t take much to portray a heartfelt sentiment!

… “crap” happens.

Hi friends! Hope you had a wonderful week and you’re looking forward to something fun this weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m excited to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another DT inspiration project using the new quarantine-inspired brads in the store. The card I’m sharing today is another one in my series aimed at paying tribute to our frontline healthcare workers, but really could be given to anyone who has experienced something unpleasant. And the sentiment is so spot on – “crap” happens to all of us at one time or another but we always seem to bounce back! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from black cardstock. I printed the sentiment from a digital stamp set on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and trimmed the panel so the sentiment was in the bottom right corner. I applied a strip of Wide Music Washi Tape horizontally across the panel and then added White Pearl Bling Strip across the top and bottom of the washi tape. I added two Toilet Paper Brads to the left of the sentiment and then adhered the panel to the card base. I finished the card front with several individual pearls from the bling strip.

I created the inside sentiment on the computer, printed it on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and trimmed the panel so the sentiment was centered toward the top. I embellished the panel with a strip of the washi tape cut in half lengthwise and a narrow black strip of cardstock, and adhered the panel on the inside of the card base.

And one more look… totally love how girly this turned out! And I love both sentiments!
