I scream-You scream-We all scream

Happy Saturday, friends! Is it any cooler where you are? Our weather is absolutely gorgeous! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a fun birthday card featuring this month’s new brads that you just have to check out! We have you covered whether you love chocolate, strawberry or vanilla!

I cut a square card base and adhered a panel of blue cardstock. I layered strips of Glitter Dot Washi Tape on a piece of white cardstock leaving a very thin margin between the strips, and then cut it with a postage stamp die. I layered the die cut on a blue cardstock panel and then on white. I created the sentiment on the computer and cut it in a strip which I angled across the die cut. I added several Ice Cream Brads and adhered the layered piece to the card base. The final step was adding White Enamel Dots in the corners.

I created the inside sentiment on the computer, printed it, and trimmed it. I embellished the panel with more of the Glitter Dot Washi Tape and narrow strips of blue cardstock.

And one more look… super happy with how this turned out! Now I want an ice cream cone, lol!

‘Just Be-Claws’ note card

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a clean and simple note card with a beachy feel. Love me some note cards, and this would be a great one to mass produce to create a set to give as a gift!

I love super simple designs that pack a punch! I started by splattering white ink across the front of the card base with a fan brush to tie in the white sentiment strip. I created the sentiment on the computer and cut it in a strip, then layered it on orange cardstock which I embellished with a strip of brown Glitter Skinny Washi Tape. I alternated the Crab & Lobster Brads on the left side of the sentiment and then adhered the strip to the card base.

I embellished the inside panel with strips of kraft and orange cardstock. Since this is a note card, I left the inside blank, leaving plenty of room to write a custom message.

And one more peek… just loving how this turned out! Aren’t these crabs and lobsters just the cutest?!

Funky Birds Handbag

9/30/20 Best Technique Winner at Classic Design Challenge Blog!
9/30/20 Spotlight Winner at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge!

Hi everyone! It’s Saturday and I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I’ve been playing with my purse die set again and this time created a gift bag featuring some very fun washi tape, bling and a large paper flower from Eyelet Outlet – just in time for a summer or beach wedding or an anniversary! How fun would it be to tuck a gift card or cash into this little purse?!

For the front and back of the purse base, I covered the cardstock with Funky Birds Washi Tape and die cut the pieces. I then cut all the rest of the purse pieces from tweed cardstock and the rings from gold foil cardstock, and assembled the handles. I assembled the purse base and added White Pearl Bling Strips across the washi tape seams on the front and back, then attached the handles and the other purse pieces. I attached the three Paper Flower layers with an Amber 6mm Jewel Brad w/Gold Edge and affixed the flower to the front of the purse.

Here’s a shot of the back of the purse. I’m so loving how this turned out! I think it’s time to admit that I’ve become a paper purse addict, lol!

More Christmas ATCs

Hi everyone! It’s the last Saturday in August – can you believe it?! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a set of sparkly ATCs for your viewing pleasure that feature some amazing Eyelet Outlet products! As you already know, I’m an ATC addict and I love creating both cards and coins!

I created one coin and two cards. My standard practice is to always punch two circles or cut two rectangles so that I can decorate one and adhere another one behind it for stability. To create the ‘Joy’ coin, I placed a strip of Glitter Tall Tree Washi Tape horizontally across the coin base and added three Penguin Brads and the sentiment die cut from silver foil cardstock. Then I adhered a second punched circle behind it.

To create the ‘peace’ card, I covered the card base with Wood Washi Tape and then die cut the sentiment into the covered card base, saving those tiny negative space pieces to add back in later. I added three Prancing Deer Brads and just prior to adhering the second rectangle behind it, I added two small strips of Glitter Brown Washi Tape to the front of the extra card so the sparkle would show through the die cut sentiment. Once I adhered the second rectangle, I glued in the negative space pieces to the p, e, a and the second e.

To create the ‘merry’ card, I covered the card base with Glitter Gold Dots Washi Tape and added the sentiment die cut from red cardstock along with a thin red cardstock strip across the bottom. I adhered the stamped word Christmas and then added one Cardinal Brad and two Cardinal Profile Brads. Then I adhered a second rectangle behind it.

And one more look at the set… I’m SO loving these! I have to say that I’m in HOG HEAVEN creating with all these awesome Eyelet Outlet products!

#alonetogether inspired hello

Hi everyone! I hope you’ve had a great week! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a CAS friendship card featuring a couple ‘flutterbys’. Hubby and I are still doing the #alonetogether thing for the most part which led me to this super simple design which I thought would be so awesome for mom or dad to create with a child!

I settled on a pink and green color combo which is another color combo favorite. I pulled out a lonely grass border die from my stash that doesn’t get a lot of use, cut several grass borders, and layered them across the bottom of the front panel. Using a leaf punch, I punched a stem and leaves, and adhered it to the front panel. I curled the edges of all three layers of a Paper Flower, attached them with a 6mm Amber Jewel Brad and adhered the flower to the front panel. I added two Butterfly Brads and Sun and Cloud Brads. I stamped a simple sentiment in black ink in the upper left corner.

I embellished the inside panel with a couple leftover strips of the green and pink cardstock used on the front, stamped the inside sentiment in black ink and layered the panel on the pink cardstock.

And one more peek… love how this turned out! I sure hope somebody is inspired to make this with a youngster! So cute!

I think you’re purrfect.

Hi everyone! Well, we’re right in the middle of August! Where has this year gone?! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a fun kitty card that would make a purrfect Valentine or anniversary card! I used black and white with a pop of red which is one of my favorite color combos!

I created a narrow front panel which I covered in vertical strips of Glitter Black Washi Tape. I positioned two Cat Brads in the lower right corner and adhered the panel to the card base. I punched two small hearts from red cardstock and adhered them above the cats. I stamped the sentiment in red ink on white cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it across the top of the panel.

I embellished the inside panel with a strip of the black glitter Washi Tape and a leftover strip of the red cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in red ink and layered the panel on the red cardstock.

One more peek… such a simple design that packs a powerful punch! I’m so smitten!

winter wonderland

8/8/20 Top Rocker at 613 Avenue Create!

Hi everyone! Well, another Saturday has rolled around, for which I’m grateful! How about you?! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a pretty wintery Christmas card that would be super easy to mass produce!

I created a top fold A2 card base and cut panels for the front and inside. I applied a strip of the Mountain Washi Tape horizontally across the front panel, about half way down, and then added three snowbanks which I created from torn white cardstock. I added two Polar Bear Brads toward the bottom which resembled a mama and her cub. Super cute, huh?! I adhered a white sentiment die cut in the open space above the mountains for a little tone-on-tone interest, along with a 1-1/2″ Snowflake Jewel. I popped the front panel up on craft foam and adhered it to the card base.

Here’s a close-up shot. I’m so smitten – this is a pretty realistic scene! ;)

I embellished the bottom of the inside panel with a strip of the Mountain Washi Tape and thin navy blue cardstock strip. I stamped the sentiment in navy blue ink and layered the panel on navy blue cardstock.

And one more peek… I’m so happy with how this turned out! I can’t get enough of those polar bears, and that Washi Tape is amazing! ;)

Friend

Hi everyone! Oh Happy Day! I hope you have a fun weekend planned! I’m absolutely delighted to be on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with my first project as a new design team member! I created a friendship card featuring a pretty Autumn wreath.

OMGoodness, I can’t even describe how much I enjoyed creating this card because Autumn/Fall is my favorite time of year! I completely covered the front panel with Autumn Washi Tape. I cut a round frame using two circle dies and built the wreath from a bunch of leaf die cuts. I embellished the wreath with Leaf Brads and Scarecrow Brads and adhered it to the front panel. I layered the front panel on orange cardstock and adhered it to the card base. I added a bow at the bottom of the wreath and a stamped sentiment flag in the center of the wreath.

I embellished the inside panel with another strip of the Autumn Washi Tape and a leftover leaf die cut. I stamped the sentiment in brown ink and layered the panel on the orange cardstock.

And one more look… totally loving how this turned out! That Washi Tape and those brads are amazing and so fun to work with!
