Happy Christmas

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! It’s Day 4 of the 2020 Cat Lovers Hop already and I’m back this afternoon with a fun Christmas center panel easel card! The Hop is going on until the 31st, so if you’re a fellow cat lover, come join us! There’s a lot of fun and games to join in every day, and Janis has been busy lining up some pretty awesome prizes to give away at the end!

I still had Tim’s Crazy Cats and Crazy Things stamps and dies within reach after using them day before yesterday, so I grabbed them and The Project Bin’s Merriest Christmas stamp set which has sentiments that go perfectly with this cat, lol! This guy is so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it!

I created the card base from Solar White cardstock and layers from coordinating Christmas papers. This is an easy fold that works up quickly. I adjusted the measurements to make this a 5″ square card.

Here’s an angled view so you can see the cool but simple construction. Not sure why his hat is looking orangey in the photos… hmmmm…

And one more peek… here it is folded (almost) flat for mailing! Another one for the stash! ;)

Happy Christmas

Hello, my friends! Well the time is finally here… the debut challenge at the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog! All of our challenges, year round, are Anything Christmas Goes, so if you love Christmas like we do, come over and play with us! I’m super excited to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #1 – August Anything Christmas Goes!

I made several of these fun cards last Christmas and they were such a hit, I’m making a few more this year! I used Karen Burniston’s Twist Panel Pop-Up Die Set to make these. I cannot tell you how much fun I had, lol! I didn’t want to stop! :D

The Christmas tree on the front was created with Your Next Stamp’s Create A Christmas Tree die set. The sentiment stamp is from Stampin’ Up.

Here is a shot of the card opening up. Pardon my thumb, lol!

And here it is fully open so you can see the twist panel design. I dug into my die stash and found the stocking. The snowman is from the main die set I used for the card. The letter ‘y’ is stamped and I drew white stitch lines on it. And the Christmas tree is from the die set I used on the front.

Happy Christmas

** 4/9/17 Winner at Christmas Card Challenges! **

Update: This challenge blog abruptly closed down in mid-April, after only a couple challenges. :(

Hi everyone! Hope your week is off to a good start and you’re enjoying some nice spring weather! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Season’s Greetings Christmas Challenge and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #4 – Picture Inspiration! Isn’t this photo just gorgeous?!

4-picture-inspiration

I created a CAS Christmas card playing off the red in the photo. I’m working on creating more clean and simple designs. It’s a challenge because I do like my layers but I really enjoyed creating this. I cased one of my own Christmas card designs from this past Christmas because I liked it so much. The simplicity is just so cool! And how about that adorable Santa hat?! :)

The front sentiment is stamped in gorgeous Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink. OMG, everybody should have some of this in their stash! The inside sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink, a Christmas classic. :)
