Hey everybody, happy Friday – I hope you’ve had a good week! I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making a mini slimline card featuring an upcycled tissue box panel. I’ve used these many times over the years because I can’t resist some of the pretty patterns on them! If you know me and my ‘paper hoarding’ nature, you’ll find that hilarious. There’s enough patterned paper here to stock a store so I really don’t need to find substitutions! Our Lessebo Navy Blue, Dolphin Gray, and Bright Silver Foil compliment the tissue box panel very nicely. Also used Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White for the inside panel.
I won’t go into a lot of detail so be sure to see my tutorial on the CutCardStock blog. This is my go-to 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline size because it fits nicely in a #6-3/4 size commercial envelope. The card base was cut from Lessebo Navy Blue cardstock. The tissue box panel is layered on Bright Silver Foil cardstock and then on Dolphin Gray cardstock. I used the CUTplorations Happy Everything die (from STAMPlorations) layered a couple times for dimension. I finished off the front with several Eyelet Outlet silver glitter enamel dots.
I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover piece of the tissue box. I layered both pieces on the Dolphin Gray cardstock and stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Charming Sentiments stamp set in Memento Paris Dusk ink. That’s it… easy peasy mini slim!
