Have a Magical holiday season

Hey everybody, happy Wednesday – I hope you’re having a great week! I’m up on the Love From Lizi blog today with a tutorial for making a circle pop-out card featuring papers, stamps and gold foil cardstock from the November Festive Tales release. I say all the time that Christmas is my favorite season and the products in this release are just wonderful! I made one of these circle pop-out cards for another design team and posted it just about a month ago, so I hope you don’t mind seeing another one! It really is easy and sure packs a punch, so be sure to check out my tutorial if you’d like to learn how to make it!

The card base and circles were cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Dawn Maroon cardstock. I chose a couple coordinating prints for the front layering panels and cut a couple narrow strips from gold foil cardstock. The sentiment circle was cut from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock, and I stamped a sentiment from the Merry Little Christmas stamp set on it in Catherine Pooler Rockin’ Red ink.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock and embellished it with strips of the floral paper and gold foil cardstock used on the front. I stamped another sentiment from the same stamp set, which completed the card. Easy peasy! This is my last post for the Love From Lizi team and I sure have enjoyed the past year! Thanks to Lizi and Linh for having me along!

Have a Magical Holiday Season

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a terrific Tuesday! I’ve popped on this morning to share a swing flap fun fold that I created specifically to enter into the current Gecko Galz Monthly Card Challenge! Use the image supplied and upload a photo of your project for a chance to win a $25 shopping spree in the Gecko Galz Etsy store! I’m proud to share that I won a $50 shopping spree in the Tricks and Treats Blog Hop last month! You just can’t go wrong – Leanne has a ton of amazing digital images in her shop and if you win you can really load up your digital stash PLUS you get free digital sheets at each stop on the hop! There are always monthly challenges going on with free images for you to create your projects with! And isn’t this image to die for?! It screamed ‘swing flap fun fold’ to me so that’s the direction I went!

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Basis Brown cardstock and embellished with panels cut from a neutral vintage-y paper in the Hot Off The Press Joyful Christmas 6×6 double-sided paper pack. The image (printed on Hammermill 60# copy paper) was cut with a Keep It Simple Stitched Squares Nested Die and layered on another stitched square cut from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Antique Gold using a My Favorite Things Stitched Square STAX. The front sentiment is from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Snowy Sayings stamp set, stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle ink. I added a few brown gemstones to complete the card front.

I layered panels of CutCardStock Basis Natural and Antique Gold cardstock on the inside and stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages stamp set. Love how this one folds completely flat for mailing!
