a whole new world

Hey everybody, Happy Saturday! I hope you have something fun planned this weekend that doesn’t involve snow… or maybe it does?! We got more snow earlier this week and they were some of the biggest snowflakes I’ve ever seen! I’m stoked to share another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today, created with our new Once Upon A Time: Jasmine Collection. I created another hidden pocket pop up card. I totally LOVE this fold; made my first one just about a year ago and it quickly rose to the top of my list of favorites. I originally found it on Lisa Curcio’s blog. It looks like a regular A2 card from the front but I always say the magic is on the inside!

I cut the card base and inside panels from CutCardStock Amazon Dark Teal along with layering panels from assorted prints in the Jasmine 6×9 Collection Pack. I stamped a variety of sentiments and images from the Collection Stamps, colored them with alcohol markers, and cut them with the coordinating Outline Dies. I created the scene on the front, popping Jasmine and the sentiment up on foam squares.

As I said above, the magic is on the inside! I added additional stamped images and another sentiment to the hidden pocket flap, and a trimmed and layered piece of ephemera (from the cut-apart sheet in the 12×12 Collection Pack) on the inside signature panel.

Hey everybody, happy Saturday! Dang, not that I’m complaining, but the weekends seem to roll around faster and faster, don’t they?! I’m stoked to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today created with our NEW Little Dreamer Collection! OMGosh, this collection was just released yesterday and I love it so much! I don’t have a whole lot of baby-themed papers, stamps and ephemera in my stash and when I saw this, I was totally in love! And of course, I HAD to use our KIS Cuts Baby Romper dies with it because I love shaped cards! Seriously, how cute is this?!

Using the KIS Cuts Baby Romper Card die set, I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with layering panels for the romper from prints in the Little Dreamer 6×9 Collection Pack and our Back To Basics Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. I embellished the romper with Back To Basics Pastel Glitter Enamel Dots on the bottom flap and several little flowers in assorted colors from the Little Dreamer Die Cut Pieces popped up on adhesive foam pads. I stamped the sentiment from the Little Dreamer Collection Stamps in Catherine Pooler Rose Petals ink and cut it with the coordinating Outline Die. The finishing touch was adding a tiny iridescent gemstone to the center of each flower.

For the inside, I cut a circle using a Back To Basics Stitched Circles Nested Die and stamped a sentiment from the Collection Stamps in the Rose Petals ink. I added a little shimmer to the hearts with a Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

Hello Pumpkin

Hey everybody, happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a nice relaxed weekend after taking our Loki to the vet Friday morning with a digestive issue. Knowing he’s on the mend and feeling so much better is a huge relief. We sure do love our feline (and canine) kids and hate seeing them sick. I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today featuring one of our new Shaker Frames that were released in September. I used the A2 Shaker Frame #6 along with papers from the Autumn Charm collection and stamps from our Bizzy Hands Fall Gnome and Farmhouse Fall stamp sets. As much as I love me some gnomes, it’s hard to believe I used the Fall Gnome stamp set without the gnome, but yes I did. LOL! This card just needed the pumpkins!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis Natural cardstock and rounded the corners. I die cut the frame components from prints in the Autumn Charm 6×9 Collection Pack using the KIS Shaker Frames A2 Frames #6. I used acetate and 2mm foam from the Back To Basics Shaker Basics Foam & Acetate Pack with five varieties of Sprinkles to make up the shaker mix. I stamped a sentiment and several images from the Bizzy Hands Fall Gnome stamp set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink, colored the images with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them to embellish the front.

I cut the inside panel from Basis Natural as well and embellished it with a leftover strip of paper from the Farmhouse Fall Collection Pack. I stamped a sentiment from the Farmhouse Fall stamp set in Rich Cocoa ink and layered the panel on another print from the Collection Pack.

Hey everybody, Happy Weekend – I hope you have something fun planned! I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today created with items in our new Here Comes Santa Claus Collection. This faux center step card is pretty close to the top of my ‘all-time favorites’ list and is super easy! I cut the card base and center panel from CutCardStock Lessebo Moss Green cardstock as well as layering panels from the Here Comes Santa Claus 6×9 Collection pack. I assembled the card and added some Eyelet Outlet wide Road Washi Tape. I added sentiment and images from the Here Comes Santa Claus Die Cut Pieces, and voila, card front finished!

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of patterned paper used on the front and a star from the Die Cut Pieces. I added sentiments (also from the Die Cut Pieces) and another panel on the back for a more finished look.

Scrappy hugs,

you make me smile

Hey everybody, Happy Thursday! If you celebrate the birth of Christ in any religion, I hope you had a beautiful holiday! The Christmas/Winter season is my favorite and we had a wonderful day. I’m stoked to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with the super adorable Bizzy Hands Snow Glad We Are Friends stamp set. Our design team created Christmas, New Year or Winter projects and I settled on a cute lil’ round Winter-themed card. I love shaped cards and this image was perfect for this, and it was fun to color!

Using dies in the set of Back To Basics Stitched Circles Nested Dies, I cut the card base and front panel from CutCardStock Basis White along with a frame from a pattern in the Back To Basics Ruby 6×9 Collection Pack. I stamped the image from the Bizzy Hands Snow Glad We Are Friends stamp set on the die cut front panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with alcohol markers.

I stamped a sentiment from the Namaste Home stamp set (which is on clearance, by the way) in black ink, trimmed it, and adhered it to the bottom of the card front. I adhered the frame and a tiny bow created from Back To Basics Stars & Stripes Ribbon using a cool little wooden bow maker that my awesome friend, Maureen, gifted me last Christmas.

For the inside, I die cut two circles using more dies in the set of Stitched Circles Nested Dies, adhered them together, and stamped a sentiment from the Bizzy Hands stamp set in black ink.

Glory To God

Hi friends, Happy Saturday! I’m delighted to share another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with our new O Holy Night Collection. This just might be my most favorite faith-based Christmas collection ever! I totally love all these papers, stamps, dies and die cut pieces! I created an angled gate fold that is so easy and really packs a punch. Instructions for this fun fold are on the Freebies page of my blog HERE.

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis White 12×12 cardstock along with layering panels from several coordinating prints in the O Holy Night 12×12 Collection Pack. I added a large die cut from the O Holy Night Die Cut Pieces for the focal along with some polymer clay white and blue stars from our Sprinkles collection added to each flap. The final step was adding a small disc magnet to keep the card closed.

I cut two layering panels for the inside along with a stitched square die cut for the signature panel and embellished it with a die cut sentiment and image.

Our Dear Savior’s Birth

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend – only one more weekend before the big guy in the red suit gets here! I’m stoked to share an inspiration project for Keep It Simple with you today. I created this open box card with papers, stamps and dies in our new O Holy Night Collection and I love how it turned out. I have instructions for this fun fold (which folds flat for mailing) on the Freebies page on my blog HERE if you’re interested in learning how to make it. It’s an easy and super fun card to decorate.

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Blue cardstock along with layering panels from several coordinating prints in the O Holy Night 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped a sentiment and several images from the O Holy Night Collection Stamps on Basis White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with alcohol markers, adding some details with a Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen and a gold Pentel Slicci pen. I cut the images with the coordinating Outline Dies and trimmed the sentiment, and built the scene on the card layers, popping some of the elements up on adhesive foam squares and the star on an acetate strip.

I cut the back panel from Basis White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of patterned paper from the Collection Pack and a stamped and die cut sentiment.

Hey everybody! It’s Sunday and I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’m stoked to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today created with our new KIS Cuts Circular Pop-Up: Scallop dies. These pop-up die sets are so stinkin’ fun I can’t stand it, and I’ve now showcased projects using all three sets so I feel complete, lol! This Christmas version features papers from our new Here Comes Santa Claus Collection, our red gingham ribbon, and a variety of shaker bits from our Sprinkles line.

I cut them with the coordinating Outline Dies and used them to embellish the sections of the pop-up.

I used some red gingham ribbon from our Back To Basics Stars & Stripes Ribbon for the closure. I created a shaker for the front which features six varieties of our Sprinkles in Christmas colors. I also used several sentiments from the cut-apart sheet in the paper collection.

Scrappy hugs,

just add glitter

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday – I hope you’re having a great week so far. I’m delighted to share a heart-shaped mini album for Keep It Simple which I made to commemorate Make A Gift Day. Yep, this unofficial holiday is celebrated on December 3rd every year to encourage folks to give handmade gifts rather than store bought. I totally love this concept and am happy to join a few of our teammates in sharing our handmade gifts! My little mini album features our new KIS Cuts Circular Pop-Up: Heart dies along with papers, chipboard, die cut ephemera, puffy stickers and collection stickers, all from our Crafty Girls Collection. And I’ve included a fun pen that I made with beadable pen items from Bailey’s Beads! This fun collection is retiring and some of the items have sold out, so this will be a great keepsake for an awesome crafty girl!

I used our new KIS Cuts Heart Circular Pop-Up dies to cut the base from CutCardStock Wild Salmon cardstock. Then I dug into my Crafty Girls stash and grabbed paper, chipboard, die cut ephemera, puffy stickers and collection stickers, and went to town embellishing each section. I used our Back To Basics Lemon Ribbon for the closure. I created a shaker for the front which features five varieties of our Sprinkles in colors matching the papers and embellishments. To say this was “fun” is definitely an understatement… I had a blast! :D

Be Bold

Hey everybody! Happy Monday – can you believe we’re already in December?! Yep, that jolly little man in the red suit is gonna be here quick so I hope you’re ready! I’m absolutely delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you created with items in our NEW Once Upon A Time: Jasmine Collection! This mini bendi card is one of the easiest-ever fun folds and it sure packs a punch. It’s funny how these collections ‘speak’ to me most of the time when I’m deciding on what kind of card to make. And when that happens, the cards come together so easily. This is definitely a fun one to make and you’ll find instructions in the Freebies section of my blog HERE if you’d like to learn how to make it.

I cut the card base and the bendi pieces from CutCardStock Lessebo Aubergine cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating prints in the Jasmine 12×12 Collection Pack. I cut a heart strip from the cut-apart sheet and then dug into the Jasmine Die Cut Pieces to create the scene, popping some up on adhesive foam squares.

I cut two back panels from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished them with the leftover pieces of the heart strip (from the cut-apart sheet) used on the front. I left these back panels blank to write a custom message.
