Love you from my head to-ma-toes

Hi friends, how did it get to be the bottom half of May already?! I’m shaking my head (still) at how fast the year is flying by! I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making another fun fold. You know I absolutely LOVE fun folds and I just can’t get enough of them! This clean and simple triangle pocket card features a minimal supply list consisting of Lessebo Pitch Black and Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White which I paired with some old Stampin’ Up double-sided paper. I just love black and white used with one other color!

I cut the flat card base and a layering panel from Lessebo Pitch Black cardstock along with two additional layering panels from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White. Next I cut the inner tri-fold panel from a watermelon colored paper from a Stampin’ Up paper stack (an old one, lol… from 2015-2017). I used the PhotoPlay No Pun Intended Fruits & Veggies stamps (another old item from my stash which I haven’t used in years) for the front sentiment and image, and added several red gemstones.

The image on the inside is the same as the front and the inside sentiment is from the Keep It Simple Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set. All stamping was done with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the images were colored with Copic Ciao alcohol markers and a green ultra fine point Sharpie.

And here’s one final shot with the little card on the inside tucked into the triangle pocket. This turned out so stinkin’ cute and it’s so easy… I can see making these for all kinds of occasions. Be sure to check out my tutorial on the CutCardStock blog if you want to learn how to make it!

Hey everybody, happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having an awesome week and it’s getting a little warmer where you are. But if you’re not seeing warmer weather just yet, don’t despair… chilly weather is perfect weather to stay in and craft! I’m up on the Love From Lizi blog today with a tutorial for making a pretty friendship card with a raised frame that features our Butterfly Wings stamp set and Love You paper pack, both from our new release. I also used some of our glitter cardstock, an additional stamp set, stitched rectangle dies, and pin stripe peel-off stickers. The raised frame sure packs a punch and I love how this turned out!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Lessebo Amethyst cardstock along with a layering panel and frame from coordinating prints in the Love You 6×6 Specialty Paper Pack. I used the Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Dies for the frames, building the base frame up with four layers of Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock for the raised dimension. I also cut two thin frames from purple glitter cardstock in the Pastel Glitter A5 Specialty Cardstock Bundle.

I stamped the sentiment from the Making Memories stamp set in Catherine Pooler Drive In ink, and added a fussy cut butterfly stamped from the Butterfly Wishes Stamp set. The finishing touch was adding several purple gemstones.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of the patterned paper used on the front, a very thin strip of CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Amethyst cardstock. I stamped the sentiment, also from the Making Memories stamp set, in the purple ink and cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Die.

Hi everyone! Well, the wind is still whippin’ out there but the gray sky has turned into a beautiful blue, so it has definitely turned out to be a gorgeous day here in Colorado! I’ve popped in for the last time today (I’m sure you’re tired of me by now, lol!) to share a card I created for The Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge! Our sponsor this month is Hettie Clare Art and we were provided the super cute Pony Plait digital image to play with. I created a card featuring this adorable image paired with burlap and corrugated kraft cardstock for a little texture and interest.

I used Gamsol and colored pencils to color this image and then cut it with a stitched rectangle die. I stamped the sentiment directly on the image die cut and layered it onto a strip of corrugated kraft cardstock layered onto a rectangle cut from burlap which I adhered to the card front.

I embellished the inside panel with a couple strips of Twine cardstock, stamped the sentiment, and then layered the panel onto more of the Twine cardstock.

And one more look… I just love how this turned out! What a sweet image!

3/1/20 Top 3 at Craft-Dee BowZ!

Hi friends! Happy Thursday – hope you’re having a great week! I’m super stoked to share that I’m guesting for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge this month and we’re being sponsored by Bugaboo Digi Stamps – you know you love some Bugaboo! The Twisted Thursday challenges are always Anything Goes with an optional twist, so be sure to join The Outlawz for a whole lot of fun going on all the time – there are nine different challenges you can play in and tons of crafty friendships to be made! Today’s challenge is being hosted by Berni and the twist is ‘Be My Valentine.’ If you play the twist, you’ll need to CASE a card from any Outlawz designer on any team, chosen from either their Outlawz gallery or their blog, and share a link to the card you CASE’d so we can see how it inspired you!

I stalked Angela’s blog (she’s the Twisted Thursday Challenge Team Leader) and CASE’d the card in her blog post Anything Goes with Creative Scoop Digis from January 25, 2018. The black, white and red color combo has always been one of my favorites, and I love her pretty card design with the stripes and the doily. This is Angela’s card:

I created a Valentine for my hubby in the black, white and red color combo featuring the adorable Bugaboo Heart Cats digital image that I had in my stash. Ed and I are crazy cat people (we have nine feline fur babies) so this image was perfect. And I always love an image that I don’t have to color, lol!

2020_0104001a

I used two coordinating patterned papers for the background that I layered on red. I die cut a red doily to layer beneath the focal image which I layered on black. I created the front sentiment on the computer, cut it into a strip, layered it on red cardstock and then cut it into a flag. I added a red gingham bow to the girl kitty, some red Gumdrops and tiny white flat-back pearls around the doily.

2020_0104002a

I created the inside sentiment on the computer also and cut the cardstock into a panel which I embellished with leftover papers used on the front and layered on red.

And one more peek… I’m really loving how this turned out and I know Ed is going to love it tomorrow! ;)

Hello, crafty peeps! Happy Thursday and happy first day of February, the month of love! A new challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog is underway this morning and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #106 – I Love You! AND all challenge participants have the opportunity to save 15% on their STAMPlorations order by using the discount code LOVETOSCRAP15 — how awesome is that?!

I chose the Funny Kinda Love – Big Grins stamp set and CUTplorations Clustered Hearts die to create a valentine for my hubby. I absolutely LOVE this stamp set – the sentiments are funny and really hit ‘close to home’ as I find myself dealing with early stages of senility.

2018_01060002a

Ed has a great sense of humor and will love this! I created an inlaid die cut on the panel above the stamped and colored image and layered the panel on foam. I wanted some valentine-y love kind of stuff on the card but not overdone, so I used red dotted paper and added a few white flat-back pearls and a doily.

2018_01060003a

I decorated the inside panel with a leftover strip of the dotted paper used on the front. I stamped a simple sentiment and a heart on the panel and layered it on red cardstock.
