missing you

Hey everybody, happy Thursday – I hope life is treating you well! I’m delighted to share a Scrapbook Pal DT inspiration project with you today which features the Light Burst Cover Plate Die, Flourishes & Sentiments stamps and dies, and Sea Glass ink – all from Catherine Pooler Designs. This pretty friendship card was really easy to make and would be a great one to mass produce to build up your card stash. I have some other ideas brewing in my head for the next time I use this cover plate die, so stay tuned! This cover plate die and the sentiment stamps and dies are super versatile!

I grabbed a Neenah Classic Crest 110# A2 Folded Card Base and added a panel of CutCardStock Lessebo Sweet Mint to the front. Using the Catherine Pooler Light Burst Cover Plate Die, I cut three layers from Celebration Warehouse Seafoam Green Smooth cardstock and adhered them together. I cut just the round center portion from CutCardStock Galax Canvas Texture and again from Light Yellow cardstock and placed the pieces into the negative spaces in the background just to give the design an extra pop of color.

I stamped a sentiment from the Catherine Pooler Flourishes & Sentiments stamp set in Catherine Pooler Sea Glass ink and cut it with the coordinating Flourishes & Sentiments die. I adhered the sentiment in the lower right corner, popping it up on foam squares, and then added an Eyelet Outlet yellow enamel dot, which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips of the Galax and Sweet Mint cardstock. I stamped another sentiment from the Catherine Pooler Flourishes & Sentiments stamps in her Sea Glass ink, cut it with the coordinating die, and layered the panel on Celebration Warehouse Seafoam Green Smooth cardstock.

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend! I’ve popped in with another Pajama Crafter Stamps project to share created with the beautiful Flourished Oval-Spring stamp set and Flourished Oval die, both from Prickley Pear Stamps. This is another one from the pile of projects I created prior to leaving the team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. The color yellow is so cheerful and I thought it would be great for a ‘missing you’ card. I decided on a hidden slider message card since they are so fun. ;) In addition to the flourished oval stamps and dies, I used an assortment of papers and ephemera from Keep It Simple and the Slider Surprise Die-namics from My Favorite Things.

I die cut the card base and the hidden slider elements twice, once from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White and once from coordinating yellow papers in the Keep It Simple Lemon 12×12 Collection Pack, and then adhered them all together. I stamped the image from the Flourished Oval-Spring stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap piece of Solar White, colored it with markers, and cut it with the coordinating Flourished Oval die. I stamped the hidden message (from the same stamp set) and added some ephemera flowers from the Lemon collection pack on the bottom layer prior to assembling the card. I tied some yellow gingham ribbon from the Keep It Simple Lemon Ribbon pack with a piece of Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine to the pull-out mechanism. The finishing touch was adding some Keep It Simple Lemon Enamel Dots.

Scrappy hugs,

Missing You

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday – I hope your week has started off very nicely! We are enjoying some glorious temperatures out here in Colorado so that makes me happy! I’m stoked to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring more of our Autumn cardstock in brown, orange and gold colors, which is on sale this month so be sure to get some! I paired these beautiful colors with Natural cardstock. Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! You know how I love fun folds, and I’ve had this ‘M fold’ (also called a ‘W fold’) in my arsenal for some time so I thought I’d try it out. Of course, it was a fun one! :D

I cut the card base and strips for the inside from Basis Natural 110# cardstock, along with layering panels for the front from Basis Brown 80# cardstock, Basis Dark Orange 80# cardstock and Basis Natural 110# cardstock which I adhered together. I stamped the rose and sentiment in brown ink and colored the rose with alcohol markers. The finishing touch to the front of the card was the addition of several gemstones.

I cut layering panels and four small lacy squares for the inside from Curious Metallic Gold Leaf 92# cardstock, along with small layering squares from Basis Brown 80# cardstock, Basis Dark Orange 80# cardstock and Basis Natural 110# cardstock. I stamped different areas of the rose on the four natural squares and colored them with the same alcohol markers used on the front. I assembled the squares and adhered them to the scored strip. I adhered narrow strips across the top and stamped the inside sentiment in brown ink… my own twist I added to the design to make it mine. ;)

Here are shots showing the ‘M fold’ and inside of the card opened completely up.

And one more peek… totally loving how this turned out! These cardstock colors are ah-maaaazing!
