Just a Note fun fold note card

Happy Saturday, friends! It’s June 1st already! I’ve popped in this morning with another Pajama Crafter Stamps project created with the beautiful Flourished Oval Sentiments and Scalloped Oval 4-Floral stamp sets by Prickley Pear Stamps which I paired with the Flourished Oval Die and Flourished Oval Nesting Dies (also from Prickley Pear Stamps). This is another one of the many projects I created prior to leaving the team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. I designed this double easel note card around the patterned paper this time which I rarely do… usually I have a design in my head, grab the paper and go from there. I have to say I’m really digging this color combo!

I cut the main card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth #100 White cardstock along with the second part of the card base, a layering panel and a flourished die cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Misty Blue. The patterned paper is from the Spellbinders Petite Patterns 6×9 paper pad. I then cut slightly smaller and larger flourished die cuts from CutCardStock Lessebo Sweet Mint. I stamped the focal image on the smaller one, colored it with alcohol markers and added some light green gemstones. A few blue gemstones completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips of the patterned paper and Sweet Mint cardstock used on the front. Since this is a note card, I left the inside panel blank.

Scrappy hugs,

Thanks For Being My Best Friend

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day – I hope you’re having a great week! I’ve popped in this morning with another Pajama Crafter Stamps project to share created with the adorable My Best Friend stamp set released in January. This is another one of the oodles of projects I created prior to leaving the team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. Yep, that’s what happens when you work so far ahead but I’ve had a large time sharing them all with you! I created a double dutch door fun fold which is definitely an oldie but goodie. I have two versions in my tutorial arsenal – one with half doors underneath and one with full doors underneath – and this is the one with the full doors. I love how it turned out!

This card is a standard A2 size and I cut the card base from CutCardStock Lessebo Navy Blue along with layering panels from coordinating prints in the Keep It Simple Max & Daisy Flip Sides and Collection Packs. I stamped the pooch in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on CutCardStock Lessebo cardstock, colored him with alcohol markers, and fussy cut him. I cut the frame from CutCardStock Lessebo Dawn Maroon cardstock using the Keep It Simple Polaroid Die and framed the pooch on a Lessebo White panel popped up on foam squares behind the frame.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, cut it into strips and adhered it at the bottom of the frame. The finishing touch was adding a few red gemstones. I left the inside panels bare sans a paw print heart from the same stamp set that I also colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.

I cut the inside panel from Lessebo White and embellished it with a leftover strip of the patterned paper used on the front. I added a stamped and trimmed sentiment, and layered the panel on Lessebo Dawn Maroon.

Scrappy hugs,

All Gave Some

Hey everybody! Happy Thursday to you – I hope you’re looking forward to some fun this weekend! I’ve popped in with another Pajama Crafter Stamps project to share today created with the Some Gave All stamp set. This is another project I created prior to leaving the team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. I thought it was fitting to share it this month with Memorial Day coming up on Monday — the most somber of US holidays honoring heros who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. It’s not a ‘happy’ day or one to celebrate with a BBQ or party, and it shouldn’t be mistaken for Veteran’s Day which honors very much alive heros who are currently serving or have served in the past. This is a super easy design with two rounded corners and the focal panel layered on glitter paper.

The card base was cut from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# white cardstock and the upper left and lower right corners rounded. I stamped the flag and sentiment from the Some Gave All stamp set in Memento Espresso Truffle ink on Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and layered it on Stampin’ Up Red Glimmer paper.

Scrappy hugs,

Just a Note

Howdy peeps, Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! I’ve popped in this morning with a Pajama Crafter Stamps project to share featuring several Prickley Pear Stamps products. I used the Flourished Oval Spring and Birdcage stamp sets along with the Flourished Oval die. This is another project I created prior to leaving the team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. I learned about this multi diamond panel from a tutorial at Beccy’s Place HERE and thought it would be a great background to showcase the stamped and die cut Spring flourished oval. I totally love a green and pink color combo, and the square/diamond geometric shapes look so polished!

I cut the square card base from CutCardStock Lessebo Sweet Mint cardstock along with a large layering panel from Lessebo White. The diamond panels were cut from Lessebo Sweet Mint, Pop Tone Jellybean Green and Lessebo Bubble Gum cardstock along with slightly larger panels to layer beneath them from Lessebo White. I stamped the focal image from the Prickley Pear Stamps Flourished Oval Spring stamp set on CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut it with the coordinating Flourished Oval die. The finishing touch was adding Eyelet Outlet pink pearls to the corners.

I cut the inside panel from Lessebo White cardstock and embellished it with Lessebo Sweet Mint, Pop Tone Jellybean Green and Lessebo Bubble Gum Pink cardstock strips, and stamped a sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Birdcage stamp set in black ink.

Scrappy hugs,

Just Married

Hey everybody! Happy Friday – I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! The weather is glorious! I’ve popped in this morning with a Pajama Crafter Stamps project to share created with the awesome Just Married stamp set released a few months ago. This is another one of the (many) projects I created prior to leaving the team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. The front flap fold is one of my all-time favorite fun folds and I thought these whimsical stamps paired perfectly with the Doodlebug Design Snow Much Fun 6×6 papers. Thinking outside the box with these awesome patterns and colors!

I cut the card base and flap from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating papers in the Doodlebug Design Snow Much Fun 6×6 paper pack. Using the Keep It Simple Stitched Circles Nested Dies, I cut two stitched circles and layered them together and popped them up on thick 3D foam squares on the front panel. I stamped the cans from the Just Married stamp set directly on the white circle and drew some lines with a Sakura Pigma Micron 08 black pen. I paper-pieced the car which I colored with a few alcohol markers and added Keep It Simple Back to Basics Clear Enamel Dots to the tail lights. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added a few Eyelet Outlet purple gemstones.

The inside panel was cut from Cougar Smooth White cardstock and embellished with a leftover strip of paper used on the front. I stamped a sentiment from the same Just Married stamp set, which completed the card.

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Summer

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday! I’ve popped in with another Pajama Crafter Stamps project to share created with the awesome Prickley Pear Stamps Ham Camper Summer stamps. This is another one of the (many) projects I created prior to leaving the team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. I’ve mentioned before that this stamp set is one of my favorites because Ed and I were full-time RVers for several years and we sure have some wonderful memories of places we visited and people we met! There are coordinating dies which you’ve seen me use but I chose to fussy cut the elements on this particular card with sky and water washi tape and torn kraft paper for sand! This is such a fun set for scene-building, and there are other Ham Camper sets so be sure to check them all out!

I cut the card base from Cougar Smooth 100# White and a layering panel from Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock. I added the Eyelet Outlet sky and water washi tape and tore a couple pieces of CutCardStock Brown Bag Kraft paper to use for the sand. I stamped all the elements for the scene on Cougar Smooth White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them, adding a few details with a Sakura White Gelly Roll pen. I popped the window and door of the camper up on foam strips, and added a stamped and trimmed sentiment.

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Flippin’ Birthday

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a great weekend! I have another Pajama Crafter Stamps project to share today featuring the super cute Flippin’ Best stamp set that was released in January of this year. This is another one of the (many) projects I created prior to leaving the team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. There’s nothing cuter than this little guy being showcased on a faux step card with his bunch of birthday balloons! I don’t have written instructions for this faux step card fun fold but it’s basically a double easel fold (seen on Sharon Armonstrong’s blog HERE a while back) with a tall fixed panel to make it look like a step card. The assembled card is A2 size.

The card base was cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock with panels cut from CutCardStock Lessebo Misty Blue. I stamped the penguin from the Flippin’ Best stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 80# Solar White and colored him with Sharpie and Bic Mark-It markers. I cut layering panels from papers in the Carta Bella Beach Party Collection Kit and added a sentiment (from the same stamp set) on the bottom flap. The finishing touch was adding several iridescent gemstones to the focal image and two strips of Eyelet Outlet 4mm blue pearls to the bottom flap.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White and embellished it with a leftover strip of paper used on the front. I stamped a sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Spring Scalloped Circles stamp set and layered the panel on Lessebo Misty Blue cardstock.

Scrappy hugs,

Singin’ in the Rain

Hey everybody! Happy Wedneday – I hope you’re having a good week! I’ve popped in this morning with a super CAS Pajama Crafter Stamps project to share created with the super cute Prickley Pear Stamps Build An Umbrella stamps and dies. This is another one of the (many) projects I created prior to leaving the team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. This is one of THE cutest sets of stamps and dies I’ve ever seen and can be used for many different occasions. In fact, another idea just popped into my head that I may have to use for a card coming up! ;)

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Natural and punched the corners with the Stampin’ Up Curvy Corner Trio Punch. I stamped the umbrella panels from the Prickley Pear Stamps Build An Umbrella stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basis Natural, stamped them again in Versamark, and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I colored them with light purple, yellow and light pink alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating Umbrella die set.

I die cut the top portion of the umbrella from CutCardStock Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock, cutting the handle off of the center scallop. I die cut the handle portion of the umbrella from Basis Natural, colored it with an alcohol marker and pieced the two together to adhere them to the card front. I stamped the raindrops in Catherine Pooler Twilight ink and added some tiny iridescent gemstones to the punched corners which completed the card.

Scrappy hugs,

Celebrate Your Special Day

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend. Our weather here in southwestern Colorado is indescribably gorgeous! I’ve popped in with another Pajama Crafter Stamps project to share today created with the awesome Prickley Pear Stamps Kokopelli-Happy Birthday stamp set and die. This is another one of the (many) projects I created prior to leaving the Pajama Crafter Stamps team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. I have fallen in love with this pop out z-fold design seen on Lisa Curcio’s blog (she called it a ‘pop up and pull out’) and created another one with a different tube type pop up mechanism that I think is easier. Instead of cutting into the card base, I just scored a piece of cardstock three times and created a tube which I adhered to the center of the card base beneath the black dotted triangle. It’s the easiest way to add a pop up mechanism to any kind of card!

I cut the card base and layers from CutCardStock Basis Natural cardstock and layering panels from CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock and several coordinating prints in the Stampin’ Up Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack. I stamped the image from the Prickley Pear Stamps Kokopelli-Happy Birthday stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut him with the coordinating Kokopell-Happy Birthday die.

I stamped the music notes directly on the background and the sentiment on a scrap piece of the striped paper which I trimmed and popped up on foam squares, lining up with the background paper. I stamped the second part of the sentiment on the back panel. The finishing touch was adding a few Keep It Simple Back To Basics Jade Enamel Dots.

Here’s one last overhead shot so you can see the construction. This really IS a pretty cool fun fold! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Merry Christmas fun fold

Hey everybody! Well, another Thursday has rolled around and it’s almost Friday again! I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! I’ve popped in this morning with a Pajama Crafter Stamps project to share created with the super fun Prickley Pear Stamps Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set. As mentioned in my previous posts, I have quite a few Pajama Crafter Stamps projects to share that I created prior to leaving the team at the end of February and hadn’t yet showcased. This pop up window card is one I’ve never seen before, and I cannot remember where I saw it. But it’s super easy – an aperture of any shape is cut into the front flap, the die cut shape is reserved to use for the focal image, and a pop up mechanism (simple four-sided box) is added to the top back of the focal image so it stands up when the card is opened. Poof – you have a super cute fun fold!

I cut the card base from Cougar Smooth White cardstock along with two layering panels and a strip from patterned papers in the Simple Stories The Little Things 12×12 Collection Kit. I used a die from the Keep It Simple Stitched Ovals Nested Dies to cut an oval aperture into the front flap. I stamped a snowman from the Prickley Pear Stamps Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the oval die cut and colored it with alcohol markers. I added a simple four-sided box pop-up mechanism to the top back of the image and adhered it back into the negative space on the card front. I added several green gemstones and a sentiment (from the same stamp set), which completed the card.
