Hello file folder card

Hi friends! Happy Thursday! This week is flying by just as fast as the rest, lol! We’re almost to Friday for all you working folks! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in to share another sample I created for Prickley Pear Stamps from their new Jack and Lily Collection! This adorable fun fold (file folder card) features the owners’ grandson, Jack, and was created with the Hello Jack stamp set with coordinating Hello Jack die set! How adorable is he barefoot in his little overalls?!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock and turned it into a file folder style card using my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board and a corner rounder. I cut layering panels from two coordinating prints in the Crafter’s Companion Just For Men Brights Collection 6×6 paper pad and adhered them to the card base along with two strips of skinny washi tape. I stamped Jack, his clothing and his toy car in black ink on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock using the Hello Jack stamp set, colored them with alcohol markers, and cut them with the coordinating Hello Jack die set. I adhered them to the card front and stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in black ink.

I cut the inside panel from another coordinating print from the Crafter’s Companion Just For Men Brights Collection 6×6 paper pad and adhered it to the inside of the card base. I cut a layering panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of the patterned paper used on the front and a strip of skinny washi tape. I stamped the sentiment from the Ham Camper Summer stamp set in black ink and adhered it to the inside.

And one more peek… I’m so smitten with these characters and all their clothing and toys! They are so fun to create with!

Hi fun fold

Howdy peeps! I hope your week is off to a great start! I have a kitten update which I’ll keep short: We took our little guy, Fogg, to the vet yesterday where he’ll likely stay for a couple days. The vet feels like overall he has a slightly better chance of survival than his sister (Stormie) had, so all we can do is continue to pray. We sure would appreciate some prayers from you all if you are the praying type. <3 Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I have another card to share this morning that I created from the Jack and Lily Collection, which is the newest release over at Prickley Pear Stamps! Isn’t Lily adorable?! The Jack and Lily characters were created in the likeness of the owers’ real-life grandkids. And you know me and fun folds… I can’t get enough of them! I thought this teepee card showcased Lily perfectly with the pastel colors!

I cut the teepee card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with layering panels from Papertrey Ink Green Parakeet cardstock and My Favorite Things Sweet Celebration and Hot Off The Press Sweet Pea patterned papers. I assembled the card base, adhered the cardstock and patterned paper layers, and added a magnet closure. Using the Hello Lily stamp set, I stamped Lily and her clothing and other elements on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers (and added Ranger Glossy Accents to her rain boots), and cut them with the coordinating Hello Lily die set. I created a rosette with the Tim Holtz Alterations Mini Paper Rosettes die and stamped the Hi sentiment on the center circle. I created the birthday sentiment on the computer and printed it on white cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the back panel. I adhered Lily to a plain die cut and then adhered her and the rosette to the front of the card. I added gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Andradite Sparkle Embellishment Mix and Trinity Stamps Morganite Muse Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick-Up Stick to complete the card.

Here’s one more look at the card folded flat for mailing. I so love how this turned out! I can only imagine how adorable this child is in real life!

Wish Big

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a great weekend. We are having issues with our two latest 10-week-old kitten rescues – we lost our baby girl night before last and then last night our baby boy stopped eating/drinking and started wheezing. We’re praying that it’s just a respiratory thing that will go away with an antibiotic. I typically don’t post sad stuff but I am having a really hard time with this. If you are the praying type, we’d appreciate some prayers for our little guy now. Please and thank you. <3 Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in to share another sample I created for the Prickley Pear Stamps new release called the Jack and Lily Collection which was created after the owners’ grandkids. I used the Hello Lily stamp set and coordinating Hello Lily die set to create this adorable birthday card in a fun file folder style. File folder cards are super easy to create with a WRMK Envelope Punch Board, Fiskars 12″ SureCut Paper Trimmer and a corner rounder.

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with a layering panel and embellishing strip cut from patterned paper which I layered together. I added two strips of washi tape for a little interest and then adhered the patterned paper panel to the card base. I stamped Lily and her clothing and other elements from the Hello Lily stamp set on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers (and added Ranger Glossy Accents to her rain boots), and cut them with the coordinating Hello Lily die set. I adhered them to the card front along with a die cut sentiment from CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments. The final touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Aquamarine Ripple Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick-Up Stick.

I cut the inside panel from the patterned paper and adhered it to the inside of the card base. I cut a panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a coordinating patterned paper strip and two strips of washi tape, and adhered it to the card base. The final touch was adding a STAMPlorations Happy Happy Clear Sticker for the sentiment.

And one more look… really loving how this turned out! There’s nothing more fun than these adorable images on a file folder style card!

Friends we will always be

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend! Our weather couldn’t be any nicer considering we’ve already had our first snowfall several weeks ago! The temps have been glorious over the past several days! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I have another sample to share that I created for the new release over at Prickley Pear Stamps! I’ve already mentioned in previous posts that the owners’ son and daughter-in-law have kids named Jack and Lily, and the new Jack and Lily Collection is all about them, but this friendship card depicts them as friends rather than siblings. I used the Hello Lily stamp set and Hello Jack stamp set along with the coordinating Hello Lily die set and Hello Jack die set. Not only are they adorable individually, but they are super cute when paired together! And aren’t they just as cute as can be barefoot in the grass with Jack flying his kite?!

I cut a square top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with a panel cut from a digital cloud background that I printed on my computer which I adhered to the card base. Using the Stitched Scalloped Border die set, I cut a hill in the distance from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock as well as some die cut grass from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock to add to the scene. Using the Hello Lily stamp set and Hello Jack stamp set as well as the coordinating Hello Lily die set and Hello Jack die set, I stamped, colored and die cut the characters and elements, and adhered them to the card front. I stamped the sun from the Noah’s Ark stamp set on CutCardStock Basis Gold cardstock and adhered it to the upper left corner. I drew a kite and tails, colored them and fussy cut them. I adhered them to the card front along with a piece of silver thread as the kite string. I added a couple epoxy flowers and a sentiment from the Blobby Flowers stamp set stamped in black ink to complete the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of green gingham patterned paper and narrow strip of CutCardStock Pop-Tone Jellybean Green cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Blobby Flowers 2 stamp set in black ink and layered the panel on green cardstock.

And one more look… I’m so smitten! This card turned out so cute! I’ve always been intimidated with the creation of scenes but it’s not really that hard to do when you have the right stamps and dies!

Hi from Jack!

Hi friends! A very Happy Tuesday to you! I hope you’re having an awesome day! It has been a beautiful one here! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m back with another card to share that I created for the new release over at Prickley Pear Stamps! I mentioned a few days ago that the owners’ son and daughter-in-law have kids named Jack and Lily, and the new Jack and Lily Collection is all about them! I created an adorable friendship card featuring the Hello Jack stamp set with coordinating Hello Jack die set! This card is a side fold (you know how love fun folds), and I did something with this stamped image that I’ve never done before… I scored the flat two-dimensional image and creased his legs so he could sit on a brick wall! LOL, I absolutely love how this turned out!

I cut the side fold card base from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Gray cardstock and coordinating papers from Crafter’s Companion Just For Men Urban Collection. I adhered the panels together and adhered them to the card base, added some twine tied in a bow, and then fashioned the sitting part of the brick wall.

Using the Hello Jack stamp set, I stamped Jack, his clothing and toy airplane on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating Hello Jack die set. I scored Jack’s legs in two places, folded on the score lines, and adhered him to the card front sitting on the brick wall. I adhered his toy airplane and stamped the sentiment to complete the card front.

I typed the sentiment on the laptop and printed it on Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock, then trimmed the panel and embellished it with strips cut from the patterned paper and CutCardStock Basis Gray cardstock, and finally layered it on gray cardstock.

And one more peek… this is such a fun fold and I sure do love it with this adorable little guy gracing the front of it!

You are one of my sweetest Blessings

Hi friends! It’s Saturday and I hope you’re having a good one! I’m doing laundry, playing with kittens Stormy and Foggy (our two newest rescues this week… just in time for Halloween!), and intermittently playing in my studio! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in this afternoon to share a sweet card I created for the new release over at Prickley Pear Stamps! The owners’ son and daughter-in-law have two of the cutest kids ever, and their names are Jack and Lily, and the new Jack and Lily Collection is all about them! I created an adorable and colorful thank you card featuring the Hello Lily stamp set and coordinating Hello Lily die set!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with a layering panel and embellishing strip from CutCardStock Raspberry Ice cardstock and layering panels from two coordinating Color Pop digital papers. I trimmed the digital papers to make one panel and adhered the strip of raspberry cardstock at the seam, adhered it to the raspberry panel and then to the card base. Using the Hello Lily stamp set and coordinating Hello Lily die set, I stamped Lily and all her elements on white cardstock, colored them all with alcohol markers and cut them with the dies. This was so much fun… like playing paper dolls as we did as kids! I adhered Lily to the card base, then added her clothes and shoes, and finally her ice cream cone. The finishing touch on the front was the addition of pink jewels.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the striped digital paper and CutCardStock Raspberry Ice cardstock, stamped the sentiment in black ink and layered the panel on raspberry cardstock.

And one more look… I love bright colors and Lily is so adorable against this Color Pop digital paper!

Happy Holidays fun fold

Hi friends! Another Friday has come around and I hope you’ve had an awesome week! We have had some absolutely gorgeous weather here this past week, and even though a couple days were a little windy, we still enjoyed the temps. Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with a pretty triple pocket twist card that I created using the Ornaments Set 2 stamp set and coordinating Ornament die. This fold was showcased in a recent Splitcoast Stampers newsletter HERE and I knew it was one I wanted to try! You know me and fun folds, lol! ;)

I cut the triple pocket base from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock along with layering panels from Hot Off The Press Poinsettia Passion double-sided cardstock which I adhered to the card base. I did a little masking with the ornament I created for the focal on the front of the card. Using the Ornaments Set 2 stamp set I masked off the image inside the ornament and stamped the Happy Holidays sentiment inside the border. I cut it with the coordinating Ornament die and added gold cord as the ornament hanger. I wrapped a length of burgundy checkerboard satin ribbon around the card and tied it in a bow, adhering the ribbon to the back of the card and adhering the die cut ornament to the front of the ribbon. The card opens to reveal three small cards in the inside pockets which I cut from CutCardStock Basis Burgundy cardstock with layering panels cut from the poinsettia cardstock and ivory cardstock.

I added CRAFTplorations Comfort & Joy Clear Stickers to the three small cards inside.

And one more peek… I thoroughly enjoyed creating this card! And the stamped and die cut ornament is just the ticket for the focal on the front!

Hydrangea twisted gate fold

Hi peeps! Happy Hump Day! I’ve got to run an errand this morning so I thought I’d get on real quick and share a pretty card (taking a break from Halloween cards, lol) before I get too busy. Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Proud to be up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog again this morning with another fun fold – a twisted gate fold card. This is truly one of the prettiest folds out there and when created with the gorgeous Sketched Florals – Hydgrangea stamp set it’s just stunning! Their Sketched Florals line is amazing!

I stamped the Sketched Florals – Hydgrangea image on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers and cut layering panels. I cut the twisted gate fold card base from CutCardStock Basis Dark Purple cardstock along with purple dotted patterned paper layering panels. I stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in purple ink, cut it with a My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics die and adhered it to the front. I added Clear Star shimmer to the centers of the flowers to finish the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of purple dotted patterned paper and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Basis Dark Purple cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Flowers For Beautiful You stamp set in purple ink and layered the panel on dark purple cardstock.

And one more peek… I do so love this fold, and this stamp set is just gorgeous!

Flying by with a Halloween HI

Hi everybody! Happy Tuesday to you – I hope your week has started off nicely! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m back up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with another Halloween card! It’s that time of year, you know! ;) I created a fun fold using the super adorable Bats stamp set, Bats 2 stamp set and coordinating Bat die. I’ve made several of these free standing pop-up cards in the past and they are definitely fun and pack a huge punch. I dug into one of my favorite paper pads for coordinating papers in the traditional Halloween colors!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock and adhered patterned paper layers cut from The Paper Studio Four Seasons and Everything In Between -2- paper pad. I cut the stand-up portion of the card from CutCardStock Basis Orange cardstock (which they no longer carry, unfortunately) and a layering panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock which I embellished with leftover pieces of the patterned paper. Using the Bats stamp set and Bats 2 stamp set, I stamped a sentiment and some bats in purple, green, black and orange inks. I stamped a separate bat on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock in black ink, cut it with the coordinating Bat die and adhered it to the front of the box portion of the card.

I cut the back panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover piece of the patterned paper. I left this panel blank for a custom message and signature.

And one more look… super fun card in traditional Halloween colors! Love, love, love these bat stamps and die!

BOO!

Hi friends! I hope you are having a beautiful weekend! It’s nice and chilly here, and we are all healthy and happy, so life is good! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with another fun Halloween card. This latch card features the super adorable Bats stamp set, Bats 2 stamp set and coordinating Bat die. I absolutely love the fold but I’ve only made a few of them over the years. My problem is that my tutorial files are about 6″ thick and there are just too many to choose from, lol! The BOO! die cut is the latch that the circular element slides under to keep the card closed.

I cut the card base and circle die cut from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock along with layering panels and slightly smaller circle die cuts from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock and coordinating papers from the Halloween 6×6 Cardstock Pad. I stamped the large bat from the Bats 2 stamp set, cut it with the coordinating Bat die (along with one additional bat cut from black cardstock) and adhered them to the circular panel in a layered fashion. I stamped the small bats and BOO sentiment from the Bats stamp set. I added the large BOO! die cut to use as the latch to keep the card closed. I cut the inside panel from another coordinating paper from the Halloween 6×6 Cardstock Pad and layered it on CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment and spider web from the Bats 2 stamp set to complete the card.

And one more look… super happy with this fun card! Absolutely loving both of these stamp sets and coordinating die!
