Spooky Cats & Witchy Hats

Howdy peeps! I hope you’re having a great weekend – I’ve had my nose buried in my crafting. So what else is new?! Bahahaha! Our weather has been cooling off for several weeks now and it’s just glorious. I’m always happy when we no longer need the A/C. I have a fun ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with items in the October 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I made a circle pop-out card which turned out so cute because it’s so simple. I’ve had handwritten instructions in my tutorial folder for quite some time although I don’t remember where I initially saw it. I just recently caught a glimpse of it on Connie Stewart’s YouTube channel HERE which reminded me that it’s on my long list of folds I want to try, so I made it! I hope you enjoy it.

I cut the card base and stitched circle die cuts (using the Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nested Cutting Dies) from CutCardStock Lessebo Brick Orange cardstock. I also cut a smaller stitched circle (using the same Love From Lizi die set) from Lessebo Sunset Orange and a scalloped circle using a Spellbinders Standard Scalloped Circles Small die to layer the sentiment sticker on. Then I cut layering panels from a super cute plaid print in the Photo Play Halloween Junque Collection Pack. I remembered I had some black cat sequins in my stash so I added a few of them to tie in the black cat on the sentiment.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# Natural cardstock and embellished it with a strip of another print in the collection. I added another sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet and added another black cat sequin, and BOOM, the card was finished. Love how it turned out!

Hey everybody, happy weekend! I hope your weather is cooling off some and you’re able to enjoy some time outdoors. I have a fun ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with items in the October 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. The book fold is one of the coolest (and easy) fun folds and it looks good in square or regular A2 size which is what I created in portrait orientation for today’s share.

I cut the book-style card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock along with layering panels from a paper in the collection which I split into two uneven pieces for a little interest. I added a sticker from the sticker sheet to the spine along with a chipboard element from the Carta Bella Halloween Chipboard Accents in the upgrades (with Lawn Fawn black twine looped beneath it) which I popped up on Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam circles. The finishing touch was adding a small sentiment sticker (also from the sticker sheet) to the upper right corner.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# Natural cardstock and embellished it with a paper strip and sentiment and star stickers from the sticker sheet. I layered the panel on another print from the collection, and this completed the card.

Happy Friday, y’all! I hope you’ve had a great week and you’re looking forward to some fun this weekend. I have a fun ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with items in the October 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I have made a ton of triple fold cards over the years but the faux triple fold is one of my favorites because it gives the illusion of a triple fold but it’s really just regular bi-fold that opens from left to right. The secret is adhering the middle section down to the right-hand flap. It’s a fun one, for sure!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock along with layering panels from assorted prints in the Photo Play Halloween Junque Collection Pack in this month’s kit. I created the focal element on the front using Love From Lizi Stitched Label Nesting Cutting Dies, and embellished it with an additional round die cut created with a Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nesting Cutting Die along with stickers from the sticker sheet.

I also added a piece of ephemera from the Carta Bella Halloween Frames & Tags (in the upgrades) to the upper right corner of the right-hand panel which I popped up on a thin foam square as well as a magnet closure. I also added some glitter-embellished circles to the left-hand panel for a little interest. These were made with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Circles using the ‘Wear Your Adhesive On The Outside’ technique which I have fallen in love with!

Here is a shot of the card opening up.

I embellished the inside panels with stickers from the sticker sheet and added a sentiment from the Carta Bella Halloween Frames & Tags in the upgrades.

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great time this weekend! For the most part we’ve been having some nice weather here – the temps have been slowly dropping and it looks like we might see some real Fall weather soon… and I can’t wait! I have an easy ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with the September 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I saw a matchbook card on Pinterest the other day and decided to make one. Y’all, no lie, this is among the top ten easiest fun folds to make and it sure packs a punch. I used papers and stickers from the collection kit along with black and white cardstock from my stash.

Cut the card base panel at 4-1/4″ x 11″ and score it at 1″ and 6-1/4″. Cut two patterned paper pieces at 4-1/8″ x 4-5/8″ for the top panel and 7/8″ x 4-1/8″ for the bottom panel. I used my Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tiny Attacher to place two tiny staples about 1/4″ up from the bottom and then adhered both the top and bottom patterned paper pieces.

I cut a strip from CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock at 1-1/2″ x 4-5/8″ and adhered it toward the right edge, and then embellished the top panel with coordinating stickers from the sticker sheet. I dug through my ribbon stash and found some Prickley Pear Stamps scalloped teal adhesive ribbon which I adhered to the bottom flap along with a sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet.

I cut an inside panel (4-1/8″ x 4-5/8″) and strip (1-1/2″ x 4-5/8″) from Black Licorice and layered a panel of Solar White cut at 4″ x 4-1/2″ on top of it. I added image and sentiment stickers from the sticker sheet, which completed this super easy card.

Scrappy hugs,

Home Is Our Happy Place

Hey everybody! It’s Saturday and what are you up to this weekend? Any crafting… or anything fun at all? I have an awesome ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with the September 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. This floating image card is one of the newest fun folds I’ve made and I absolutely love how it turned out! I used papers and stickers from the collection in addition to gemstones and foam alphas from the upgrades. My inspiration (once again) came from Lisa Curcio’s blog, and despite it’s complex look, it’s pretty simple. The video is HERE if you want to learn how to make it. I sincerely hope there are no trackers on YouTube videos because I’d probably be known as a stalker on several of my sub channels, lol!

I cut the card base pieces from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice and several coordinating patterned papers from the collection. I used some image and sentiment stickers from the sticker sheet and an asterisk (used as a flower) from the foam alphas in the upgrades to embellish the floating element.

I used an additional sentiment sticker for the inside as well as a leftover strip of one of the patterned papers used. The last photo below shows the side panels and the floating element opened. This is such a cool fold!

Scrappy hugs,

a house or a home

Hey everybody, happy Friday – I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! I have an awesome ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with the September 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. This pop-up book fold is a new one that I saw on Lisa’s channel HERE. I’ve created a couple other versions of the book fold and when I saw the unique construction of this one, I just had to try it! I used papers and a journaling card from the collection along with die cut pieces, gemstones and foam alphas from the upgrades.

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Lessebo Aubergine cardstock along with a layering panel from a green patterned paper in the kit. I trimmed one of the larger journaling cards in the kit and notched the corners with the Spellbinders 3 in 1 Notched Corners Punch. I notched the corners of the background panel also and added a gemstone from the upgrades to each corner. The finishing touch on the front was adding a couple quotes from the foam alphas in the upgrades.

I used a pretty floral paper and a little more of the green patterned paper used on the front in addition to Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White for the layers on the inside panels. I added a die cut piece from the upgrades to the left side, leaving the right side blank for a handwritten message and signature. To expose the areas on the inside, you simply push the sides outward. Isn’t this an awesome fold?!

Scrappy hugs,

Good Vibes Only

Hey everybody, a very happy Thursday to you! I hope you’re having a great week. I’m thrilled to share that I’ve re-joined the ScrapbookingStore design team! I was gone less than a year and really missed playing with their monthly kits. With Ed’s most recent (additional) cancer diagnoses, I stepped away from one of my teams and considered stepping away from one other. I soon realized that I need to remain committed to my crafting and not alienate myself, and this gig was already in the works, so here I am – back at it doing what I love!

Now check out this cool inspiration project created with the September 2025 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. My inspiration for this double lower gate fold came from Lisa’s blog and features a card within a card! On this version, the short flap opens from right to left and the longer flap opens from left to right to reveal a small top-folding card with a sentiment inside. Lisa’s video is HERE but there are A LOT of videos on YouTube for this particular fold and I think they are all pretty much the same. You’ll love how easy it is!

I cut the card base and small inside card from CutCardStock Lessebo Pitch Black cardstock along with layering panels from an assortment of prints in the Carta Bella At Home Collection Kit.

To embellish this card, I used stickers from the sticker sheet along with die cuts from the Carta Bella At Home Frames & Tags and Rosie’s Studio Fanciful Gemstones (both from the upgrades).

I cut the inside sentiment panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of the patterned paper used on the long flap, and added a sentiment from the die cuts. Love how this turned out!

Scrappy hugs,

Acorn Lane cards (set of 8)

Hi friends, Happy Fri-YAY! Fridays used to be super fun when I still working, but since retiring several years ago, every day is like Friday, lol! And that’s certainly not a bad thing! I’m thrilled to share my last ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project with you today created with the November 2024 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I’d like to thank this amazing company for having me along for the last several years. A lot of care goes into curating these kits each month and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself. One of the upgrades in this month’s kit is the Acorn Lane Card Kit by Simple Stories, so I made the set of eight Fall-themed cards, changing up a few random things to make them unique.

The absolute most fun thing about these Simple Stories card kits is that the card bases, papers, die cuts and chipboard are all included… all you need is adhesive. A card kit like this would be such a fun gift to give to the budding cardmaker in your life! Here are shots of the individual cards – they are all blank inside so I plan to donate them to Bring Smiles To Seniors! <3

Incredibly Grateful

Howdy peeps! Here’s to a terrific Thursday – I hope it’s not too cold yet where you are. I have a fun ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with the November 2024 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I came across a multi panel pop out card HERE on Lisa Curcio’s blog which I’ve never seen before, so of course I HAD to try it… and I’m so glad I did – it’s a fun one! It’s 5×7 which is larger than I typically make, so I reworked the measurements and came up with an A2 size for another design team that I’ll share soon, so stay tuned. ;) But for now, this is the 5×7 version made according to Lisa’s video.

I cut the card base, belly band and all the pop out elements from CutCardStock Lessebo Coffee Bean cardstock, along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Natural and coordinating prints in the collection. The focal image on the front is a trimmed and layered journaling card from the paper pack attached to the belly band. I embellished the front (beneath the belly band) and two of the inside panels with stickers from the sticker sheet in the paper pack.

I cut the back panel from Basis Natural and embellished it with a leftover plaid print used on the inside of the card. I added a sticker for the sentiment, which completed the card.

Blessed and Grateful

Hey everybody, Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a great week! I’m delighted to share another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project created with the November 2024 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I made a shutter card using the Lawn Fawn Shutter Card dies. I’ve made several shutter cards over the years by handcutting the pieces (before owning the dies) and the dies are so much easier. The handwritten notes in my tutorial folder are not shareable (LOL) but I did run across a Splitcoast Stampers tutorial HERE if you’re interested in looking, which is pretty darn close to my handwritten instructions.

Using the Lawn Fawn Shutter Card dies, I cut the card base and other pieces from Solar White cardstock, along with the belly band and layering panels from coordinating prints in the collection. I created a belly band element using the circle die cut from the inside panel and a Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles die. I embellished it and the card front and inside with stickers from the sticker sheet in the paper pack and the sheet of leaf stickers in the upgrades. I used the set of stamps in the upgrades to stamp a sentiment in Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink on the belly band element. The finishing touch was adding several iridescent gemstones for a little bling.

I cut the back panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of plaid paper used on the front flaps, along with some stickers from the sticker sheet and the upgrades. I stamped another sentiment from the stamp set in the upgrades in brown ink.
