i love us

Hi everyone! Oh my gosh, time just needs to slow down – we CAN’T be approaching the end of January already! I’m not posting on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog today but have popped in this morning to share an extra DT inspiration project with you, a sweet Valentine created with the free (yep, free…) Simply Crafty SVGs Flowers For Mom Card cut file. I was really thinking outside the box on this one when I decided on a Valentine.

2019_09040011a

I added some Dandelion Yellow Crystal Drops to the centers of the flowers for a little texture, and placed the sentiment on the bottom of the flower pot.

2019_09040012a

I really love this design – the large flower there in the center pops up when the card is opened. Super cute!

2019_09040013a

And here’s a look from overhead so you can see the cool design on this!

2019_09040014a

And one final look… folded flat and ready to be put in an envelope for mailing. So awesome!

coffee & friends

Hi everyone! It’s Hump Day… what the camel says, lol! Today is my post day on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project with you, an awesome coffee card created with the Simply Crafty SVGs Latte Box Card cut file. What a fun and super easy card to put together! I stamped a sentiment on the small layered panel on the front. And I love that Sandy threw in an envelope which I cut with matching paper I used on the cup for a coordinated look!

2019_087008a

Here’s a shot of the back of the cup which features a plain panel for writing a custom message and signature.

2019_087009a

And one more look, flattened and ready to pop into the envelope! I’m absolutely loving how this one turned out! Would be so easy to mass produce this to give several in different colors as a set! Love, love, love!

hello it’s been too long

Hi everyone! Ho Ho Ho and Merry Christmas to you all! I’m not posting on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog today but have popped in this morning to share an extra DT inspiration project with you, a sweet friendship card created with the free (yessss… free!) Simply Crafty SVGs Busy Bee Card cut file. How stinkin’ cute is this?!

2019_1019009a

I created the card base from heavy weight kraft cardstock and then added the elements one by one along with some stamping in black ink. I need to point out that the hello sentiment is not part of this cut file – it was created with a die in my stash. I loved seeing this card come together!

2019_1019010a

I stamped the inside sentiment in black ink on the vanilla cardstock and cut it with a fishtail sentiment strip die.

2019_1019011a

One more peek… such so adorable! ;)

Hi everyone! Christmas will be here exactly two weeks from today! Today is my post day on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you, a super cute Christmas card for my stash created with the Simply Crafty SVGs Christmas Tree Farm Box Card cut file. How about that sentiment… wouldn’t you agree that going to pick out the perfect Christmas tree made wonderful moments and warm memories?! Whether you were a child or an adult taking your children, it’s a wonderful time of the year!

2019_0904006a

I used some very cool star emboss resist paper for the background and inked it with several shades of blue distress inks, making the outside darkest and going lighter and lighter toward the moon.

2019_0904007a

I inked some light shadows across the moon with gray ink, colored the star on the Christmas tree with sparkle overlay marker, and gave the ornaments a little dimension with a white gel pen.

2019_0904008a

I stamped the front and back sentiments on white cardstock in black ink and cut them with a rectangle die. I layered the back sentiment on dark green cardstock.

2019_0904009a

And here’s one final look, flattened and ready to put in an envelope. Love, love, love this card!

autumn Blessings

Hi everyone! Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow to my friends in the States! I’m not posting on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog today but have popped in this morning to share an extra DT inspiration project with you, a fun autumn card created with the free (yep, free!) Simply Crafty SVGs Fall Pumpkin Gatefold Card cut file. I’m absolutely in love with this card!

2019_1019013a

I added some stamping in brown ink to turn this into an autumn card. I cut the front sentiment with a fishtail strip die and popped it up on dimensionals on the pumpkin.

2019_1019014a

I stamped the inside sentiment in the dark brown ink.

One more look… so simple and I love how it turned out!

Thinking of you at Christmas

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! Today is my post day on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you, an adorable Christmas card for my stash created with the Simply Crafty SVGs Penguin Christmas Box Card cut file.

2019_0904001a

I have to tell you this… within 10-15 seconds of adhering the gemstones, Molly (one of our cats) jumped up on my desk and chomped down on the tree! So you know what that means – this card will be sent to a family member who won’t mind a little cat spit and teeth marks! Bwahahaha!

2019_0904002a

This was a fun card to put together. I used a light/dark teal color scheme with a pop of pink on the gifts. I can’t take my eyes off that penguin – he is so stinkin’ cute!

2019_0904003a

The sentiments on the front and back, from one of my favorite stamp sets, were stamped in black ink.

2019_0904004a

And here’s one final look at the card flattened and ready to put in an envelope – that’s what’s so fun about box cards! And I know… you’re still trying to find the kitty teeth marks on that tree, aren’t you?! LOL!

Pair of Creepy Coffins

Hi friends! Happy Hump Day – hope you’re having a great week! I’m not posting on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog today but have popped in this morning to share an extra DT inspiration project with you, an awesome pair of creepy coffins created with the free (yes, FREE!) Simply Crafty SVGs Creepy Coffin Box cut file. How fun are these?!

2019_1019001a

I love how these turned out! I glued them closed to use them as decor.

2019_1019002a

I used black for the boxes and two shades of gray for the tops.

2019_1019003a

Hi everyone! We’re busting right through this year – so hard to believe it’s October already! Today is my post day on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you, a fabulous pumpkin decor piece created with the Simply Crafty SVGs Fall Pumpkin Luminary cut file. This is definitely one of my favorite cut files I’ve worked with yet! Super easy but so elegant!

2019_09040026a

This project took four colors of cardstock and twine, and it was amazing watching it come together! The six strands of twine made a beautiful bow which was definitely an added touch!

2019_09040027a

I went one step further and added a stamped tag, tucked down into the twine bow.

2019_09040028a

Here’s a view of the back side of the pumpkin which is just as pretty as the front and sides, lol!

2019_09040029a

And one final view from the top. I am so smitten with this pumpkin luminary!

Small Floral Hanging Lantern

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far! Today is not my posting day on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog but I’ve popped in to share an extra DT inspiration project with you, a sweet little hanging lantern created with the free (ySimply Crafty SVGs Mini Hanging Lantern cut file. How cute would it be to create several of these and hang them around the deck or patio for a birthday party or a summer get-together?!

2019_09040016a

The sky is the limit for choosing papers for these! I chose a heavy kraft cardstock for the base and then a pretty floral print for the panels.

2019_09040017a

The finishing touches were a few pink gemstones to give this lantern a little pizzazz and some pink and white Baker’s twine. Love how this turned out!

Happy Birthday

10/3/19 Top 3 at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! Today is my post day on the Simply Crafty SVGs Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you, an adorable birthday wagon full of posies, created with the Simply Crafty SVGs Wagon of Flowers Box Card cut file. Super cute and loads of fun!

2019_087004a

Sandy created this as a box card which folds flat for mailing, however, I took it one step further and made it into a fixed piece of decor for a mantle or shelf. ;) I love how this turned out! I do apologize for how the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment photographed in this pic – foil is so darn hard to photograph!

2019_087005a

Here’s a shot of the back of the wagon which features a plain panel for writing a custom message and signature.

2019_087006a

I used a gold foil sentiment sticker rather than stamping on this one, and it could be used for just about any occasion. I think is this one of my favorite cut files so far and I have several favorites… lots of fun picking out the bright colors and putting this together! ;)
