less is more

Hi everyone! The weeks sure are flying by! I’m back on the Dare 2B Artzy blog as a guest designer this month and I’m excited to share another inspiration project, a fun CAS friendship card created with the Perfect Blend stamp set, Coffee Cup die, scraps from several papers in the Artzy Doodles Variety Paper Pack and Totally Black ink. I’m absolutely loving this October guest designer gig and playing with more D2BA stamps!

I know I said the card I created for my last D2BA post was one of the most fun cards I’ve made in a while, but this one runs a close second. Super fun and super easy! And yep, you guessed it… another clean and simple creation! I shied away from them for so long, now I can’t get enough of them, lol! I stuck with the October challenge theme of Fall Colors and used Halloween colors of black, orange, purple and green! I prepared the card base and rounded the lower right corner. I cut a strip of white cardstock and rounded the two right-hand corners, then layered it on green cardstock and adhered it to the card base for a little interest.

I stamped the coffee cup three times on a small piece of cardstock and cut each one with the coffee cup die. I stamped the coffee cup again on small scraps from three of the papers in the Artzy Doodles Variety Paper Pack, making sure to get the cup wrapper centered on the scrap. I fussy cut each cup wrapper and adhered them to the white die cut coffee cups. I stamped a sentiment on one of them, then adhered them with foam pads to the front. I finished the card with dots of English Mustard Crystal Drops and a few Pewter sequins.

I kept the inside clean and simple as well with just a stamped sentiment on a layered panel.

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D
