remember to play

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #13 – Anything Goes + Emboss Resist! Remember, our challenges are always ‘anything goes’ with an added optional technique twist to inspire you! I created my card using scraps of embossed paper that I had out for another project, so you can imagine this worked up very quickly. Love it when that happens, lol!

I inked the embossed paper using the DTP (direct to paper) technique for nice rich colors. I layered the elements and adhered the flower, a file tab and sentiment word sticker.

I left the inside blank to write my own sentiment.

One final shot showing the dimension. I’m very pleased with how this turned out!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up Thick and regular Whisper White, Calypso Coral and Peekaboo Peach cardstock, Stampin’ Up Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP
Stamps: xxxx
Ink: Stampin’ Up Calypso Coral and Peekaboo Peach ink
Accessories:  Paper flower from stash, American Crafts File Tab, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk word stickers

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project and will link up an ‘anything goes’ project with us this month! The emboss resist twist is optional and not required to play! Thanks for stopping by today and we’ll see you again soon! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment! I love reading them!
