fluttering by…

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday – I hope you’re having an awesome weekend! I’m posting the new July Birthday Bash challenge today on the a2z Scrapbooking blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project using Hero Arts Color Layering Swallowtail stamp set,  Hero Arts Color Layering Swallowtail Frame Cuts, Hero Arts Color Layering Inks: Dandelion, Ultra Pink and Black ink, and Hero Arts Blessings Stamp & Cut. I really enjoyed creating this semi- clean and simple birthday card! I’m in love with the Hero Arts color layering stamp sets with dies and inks!

I cut some patterned paper strips and inked them, which I adhered to the background panel along with a thin strip of black cardstock. I stamped the butterfly with the inks and cut it with the coordinating die, then slightly bent it to make it look like it’s fluttering off the card. I the stamped sentiment and then added pearlized Nuvo Crystal Drops to complete the background.

I kept the inside fairly simple, as I usually do, with a stamped sentiment on a layered panel decorated with leftover strips of patterned paper and cardstock used on the front.
