for a purr-fect friend

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday – hope you have a fun weekend planned! The June challenge is live over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog this morning and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #122 – No Rulz 3! This is the third in our series of challenges with absolutely NO RULES! Yep, that means you can create whatever you’d like without regard to our rules… the only thing we ask is that it’s decent, as we are a family-oriented blog. And our sponsor this month is Bugaboo – you know you love some Bugaboo, so come on over and play!

I created an adorable birthday card using the Bugaboo Cat Silhouette digital image. What a fun image to work with – the sky is the limit with this one! I printed the image in black on ivory cardstock, cut it down to fit behind the punched circle opening, and then cut out only the tail to allow it to hang outside the circle opening.

I attached two pieces of coordinating cardstock from a relatively new pad that I’m in love with, and layered the panel on black cardstock. I used two circle punches for a little interest, along with some tiny brads and punched hearts.

I created the front and inside sentiments on the computer, and layered the inside sentiment on black cardstock. I embellished the panel with a couple tiny punched hearts.

And one more look… I totally love how this turned out! I’m always needing birthday cards for my stash!

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D

  1. So pretty!! Those papers are beautiful and this image is really fun! Love the tail hanging outside the die cut; it gives such a great look!
