Way To Go! (set of 2)

Hi everyone! Happy Happy Tuesday to you – hope your week is off to a great start! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Stinkin’ Inkers and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for It’s A Colorful World! We’d love to see you create a project using a color combo of your choice – easy peasy this month! I was commissioned by a co-worker to create a congratulations card so I created two, a blue/green and blue/pink, for her to take her pick. She wanted both, lol!

These cards are identical except for the colors. I created the backgrounds on watercolor paper with india inks and water, drying with my heat tool between color applications. I arranged multiple stamps on my stamp platform, stamped in black ink and then again in Versamark, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I layered the blue/green panel on black cardstock.

For a little variety, I chose not to layer the blue/pink panel and just cut it the size of the card base. I stamped a simple sentiment on a layered panel on the inside, identical for both cards. Loving how they turned out!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Canson Cold Press Watercolor Paper, Marco’s black Kaleida-Paper cardstock, Stampin’ Up thick and regular Whisper White cardstock
Stamps: Stampin’ Up Bravo stamp set
Ink: Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bombay India Ink- Aqua and Magenta; Tattered Angels Dragonfly and Moss Glimmer Mist; Tattered Angels Party Pink and It’s Blue Glimmer Mist; Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Versamark
Accessories:  Tim Holtz stamp platform, Hero Arts clear embossing powder

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing these cards today, and will link up a project in your favorite color combo with us this month! Thanks so much for stopping by – we’ll see you soon! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment! I love reading them!
