Life Behind Bars

Hi friends! Happy Hump Day! I’m thrilled to be on the blog today over at The Project Bin with another crafty tutorial! If you’re interested, take a peek at that HERE. I was provided the amazing Defined stamp set and the Wild Thing stamp set with dies, and created a cool Father’s Day card. Did the title of my post get your attention, lol?!

This is a super easy design. I cut a panel of blue textured cardstock to cover the front of the card base and added a piece of silver foil cardstock embossed with a diamond plate pattern to the bottom. I ended up adding an additional piece of the blue textured cardstock at the very bottom to tone down the shine a bit… it was bright, lol! I stamped a fun sentiment in black ink and then adhered a stamped and die cut bike and shadow. The final step was adding black Crystal Drops to tie in the black ink and the shadow.

I embellished the bottom of the inside panel with strips of the textured blue cardstock and embossed silver foil cardstock, stamped the sentiment, and layered the panel on a lighter piece of blue cardstock.

And one more peek… totally loving how this turned out! Of course, it’s for the hubby, but shhhh… don’t tell him! ;)

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D
