Merry Christmas!

Happy Hump Day, friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! I made time in my studio yesterday afternoon to create a fun fold card for The Outlawz Challenges! I’m playing in the December Freebie/Progressive Challenge and we were gifted the adorable Gina Christmas Elf digital image from our sponsor, MoonFlower Digistamps. This is a center panel easel card done in traditional red and green Christmas colors! If you haven’t started on your Christmas cards yet, you better get crackin’ because it’ll be here before you know it!

I created the card base from Neenah Solar white cardstock and cut layering panels from some pretty coordinating Echo Park patterned papers. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils, cut it with a stitched oval die and layered it on a slightly larger stitched oval die cut. I used my Snow Marker to give her hat and dress trim a little dimension. I love that stuff! The sentiments are computer-generated and I embellished the image and the card base with Eyelet Outlet bling.

Here’s an angled shot so you can see the simple construction. This is by far the easiest easel card I’ve ever created – and I’ve made quite a few over the years!

And one more look… folded flat for mailing. Such a fun card – and I absolutely love this image!

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D
