Frightful & Delightful

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday to you all! I hope you’re having a great week! I’m delighted to be back on the Printable Cuttable Creatables blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I have to tell you that it’s been years (literally a lot of years) since I carved a pumpkin and I’m not even sure I could do it now. Creating this tone-on-tone mini slimline card using the Stacked Jack O Lanterns SVG File was just as fun and clearly not as dangerous! Bahahaha!

I cut a 3-1/2” x 6” mini slimline card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with a panel cut from CutCardStock Pop Tone Tangy Orange cardstock using the Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Stitched Rope Dies which I adhered to the card base. Using my Scan N Cut and the Stacked Jack O Lanterns SVG File, I cut the pumpkins from CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice, Pop Tone Tangy Orange and Pop Tone Jellybean Green cardstock, assembled them, and adhered them to the card front with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares. I stamped a Halloween sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Scary Cat & Bats stamp set in black ink, die cut it, and adhered it to the card front. The finishing touch was adding several pearls from an Eyelet Outlet 3mm Black Pearl Bling Strip.

For the inside, I die cut an additional panel from CutCardStock Pop Tone Tangy Orange cardstock using the Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Stitched Rope Dies along with a white layering panel cut from 80# Solar White cardstock. I stamped another sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Scary Cat & Bats stamp set in black ink.

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D

  1. Wow, what great dies and that font is so fun!! Definitely a great choice to “carve” paper pumpkins in lieu of the real ones! ;) So happy you shared this delightful card with us at Cut It Up! ~Katrina
