Happy Mother’s Day Dress

1/20/22 Top 3 at Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another amazing DT inspiration project! I’m already in Mother’s Day mode so I created a pretty Mother’s Day card featuring our Clear Jewel Bling Strips, White Pearl Bling Strips, Brown Enamel Dots and Glitter Brown Skinny Washi Tape! I feel a like Scan N Cut junkie… I can’t get enough of it! I know I have mentioned that it lives in a cabinet to keep the dust off of it but it’s been out on the table for this crafty session the longest length of time since I’ve owned it, lol! This card was SO much to cut and assemble!

I cut all the pieces from CutCardStock Royal Sundance Felt Natural cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Brown cardstock, Hygloss Gold Metallic Foil cardstock and Stampin’ Up Falling In Love DSP. I stamped the sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh Happy Mother’s Day stamp set in Catherine Pooler Over Coffee ink. I added Clear Jewel Bling Strips to the dress which I colored with alcohol markers, pearls from a White Pearl Bling Strip around the neck of the dress form which I also colored with alcohol markers. I added several Brown Enamel Dots to the background, Glitter Brown Skinny Washi Tape strips down each side and a brown ribbon bow to complete the front.

There were pieces in the cut file for the inside as well, and I used an additional coordinating patterned paper for those. I added a tiny magnet closure. It’s always fun picking out the cardstock and papers, but it’s even more fun assembling these projects!

And one more look… I am absolutely smitten with this card! I see more of these in my future for a variety of occasions, and of course, using all the Eyelet Outlet bling really takes it to the next level!

Hey, everybody! Is it me, or is this first week of January just a blur?! It’s been busy, that’s for sure! I’m thrilled to be back on the Clear Scraps blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I focused on some old middle/high school friends when I created today’s inspiration project featuring the Friends XL Wood Frame. This piece is huge and wonderful! It was definitely a fun project – from picking out the three photos I wanted to use, to the actual creation with pretty papers and flowers and the assembly! Brought back so many memories! And I’m not insinuating that any of us are old… just friends from a long time ago! ;)

I covered each letter with a different patterned paper and the frames with a different color of cardstock, heavily inked the edges, and then added paper flowers and die cut greenery, and a couple bamboo cord bows. I added a few gemstones to complete the frame.

Now for the old photos… middle school friends in the photo on the left (I’m second from the left).

35th high school reunion eleven years ago in the middle photo (hubby and I are on the left seated at the table).

A long-time friend since middle school with me in the photo on the right (I’m on the right) taken about ten years ago. The cool thing is I’m still in touch with every one of these friends! Sorry about the weird shadows on the photos cast from the acetate used to keep the photos clean and dust-free. I took many photos and these were the best ones. :\

Hi everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start and you’re not working too hard! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring Astrobrights cardstock which is on sale this month – be sure to stock up on some of these amazing colors! I used Astrobrights 80# Re-Entry Red cardstock and Astrobrights 80# Solar Yellow cardstock on this friendship card with an alcohol ink background that, when paired with the Astrobrights cardstock, has a little tone-on-tone going on which turned out so cool!

I created the alcohol ink background on Core’dinations 65# vellum several days prior to making the card. I used Ranger Poppyfield, Sunset Orange and Sunshine Yellow alcohol inks along with a few drops of Ranger Alcohol Blending Solution, and just before it was dry, I pressed a piece of Spellbinders Gold Glimmer Hot Foil onto it which left small bits of the gold foil. I used my Xyron 510 to add the inked panel to a Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock panel, and then used the CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Nesting Dies to die cut the background. When it came time to make the card, I cut a standard A2 size landscape side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and a layering panel from Astrobrights 80# Re-Entry Red cardstock which I adhered to the card base. I layered the inked die cut panel on Astrobrights 80# Solar Yellow cardstock, and adhered it to the card base. Using the CUTplorations Happy Everything Phrase Die, I die cut the sentiment three times from Astrobrights 80# Re-Entry Red cardstock and once from Astrobrights 80# Solar Yellow cardstock. I adhered the three red die cuts together and the yellow one behind as a shadow, and adhered them to the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from Astrobrights 80# Re-Entry Red cardstock which I adhered to the inside of the card base. I embellished the inside panel with a leftover strip trimmed from the inked panel and then die cut it using the CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Nesting Dies. I added a narrow strip of Astrobrights 80# Solar Yellow cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything stamp set in red ink. I adhered the panel to a yellow cardstock layer and adhered it to the inside of the card base.

And one more peek… so happy with how this turned out! The alcohol ink colors matched the Astrobright colors almost perfectly!

2/28/22 Honorable Mention at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge Blog!

Hi friends! It’s chilly and snowy here in SW Colorado on this fine 1st day of January, just like it should be! I hope your final week of 2021 was wonderful! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #153 – Anything Goes! Why not start the new year off with a Mother’s Day card featuring a pre-colored digital image from Jan’s Digi Stamps Botanical Orchid set, and isn’t it beautiful?!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a half layering panel from Stampin’ Up Petal Garden DSP which I adhered to the card base. I printed the digital image on Neenah Classic Linen 80# Solar White cardstock and cut it with a Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers die. I die cut a slightly larger scallop circle using a My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-namics die from Stampin’ Up Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from The Project Bin’s Defined stamp set in black ink and added several dots of Nuvo Gloss White Crystal Drops to finish the card front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the cardstock and patterned paper used on the front. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in black ink, and layered the panel on the sugarplum cardstock.

And one more peek… this was a super easy card that turned out so pretty and looks like I spent a long time making it! Love this image!

2/1/22 Top Pick at Crafting Happiness Challenges!

Hi peeps! Well, 2022 has arrived in what seems like a very short amount of time, lol! It seems like January 1st of 2021 was just yesterday! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #66 – Anything Goes! I’ve been on a Scan N Cut kick here lately and have cut quite a few files for design team projects. This adorable twist and pop card was created with a cut file from My Scrap Chick.

I cut all the pieces from American Crafts Sunflower, White and Stone cardstock, as well as CutCardStock Basis Red, Basis Aqua, Basis Green, Basis Navy, Pop-Tone Tangy Orange and Shadow Gray cardstock. The sentiment is from The Project Bin Milky Way stamp set which I stamped in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink.

Then the fun began putting it together. Twist and pop cards really are a lot of fun, and being able to cut them electronically rather than measuring and scoring manually is the bomb!

The inside sentiment is from the same stamp set, stamped in the same dark blue ink.

And one more look… this was a super fun project. I can literally sit for hours putting these kinds of cards together!

Hi friends! Happy New Year! Can’t believe 2022 is here already – last year literally flew by! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #57 – Anything Goes + optional Foiling. If you’re in for playing the optional twist, we’d love to see your project using a laminator/Minc machine, foiled cardstock, aluminum foil, etc. I used gold metallic foil cardstock and Deco Foil Rainglow Transfer Sheet for my birthday card.

I cut a standard A2 top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Jupiter cardstock and Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. Using the Hero Arts Circles & Squares stencil along with Deco Foil Rainglow Transfer Sheets, Deco Foil Stencil Pal and Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo, I created the background for the front of the card and then die cut it with the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX Layers.

I used the My Favorite Things Bold Beautiful Die-namics and die cut the focal element from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Jupiter cardstock and Hygloss Gold Metallic Foil cardstock, piecing the red cardstock into the gold negative spaces. I added the word ‘you’ die cut from the gold metallic foil cardstock using the Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Type Lower Thinlits and adhered it to the bottom right.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and die cut it with the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX Layers. I embellished the panel with a leftover strip of the foiled panel on the front, a strip of CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Jupiter cardstock and a strip of gold metallic foil cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments stamp set in red ink and layered the panel on red cardstock.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! Foiling is so stinkin’ fun, and this rainbow foil is absolutely gorgeous!

Scrappy hugs,

Merry Christmas slimline

Hi everybody! Happy Saturday and Happy New Year! Today is the 1st day of the month which is always a busy blog day! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! Our first challenge of the new year launched this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #42 – Anything Christmas Goes! Our challenges are always Anything Christmas Goes, and I created a pretty slimline in my favorite color of green using stamps from Prickley Pear Stamps and an assortment of dies!

I cut my go-to size of 9″ x 3-3/4″ slimline card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, along with a layering panel from a green plaid pattern from the Christmas Print 6×6 Cardstock Pad. Using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Square STAX, I die cut three squares from CutCardStock Bonsai Green cardstock. I also cut three scalloped squares from CutCardStock Granny Smith cardstock using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Mini Scallop Square STAX and an embellishing strip punched from black glitter paper using a scalloped edge punch. I stamped images from the Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Holiday Gift Tags stamp set, colored them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them. I layered the die cut squares together, adhered the stamped and colored images, and adhered them to the card front. I added the black glitter paper scalloped border across the bottom, and the final touch was adding small black gemstones to the squares (which turned into diamond shapes, lol).

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover plaid pattern strip used on the front, a strip of CutCardStock Bonsai Green cardstock and a strip of black glitter paper. I stamped the sentiment from the same Prickley Pear Stamps Christmas Holiday Gift Tags stamp set in black ink and layered the panel on the green cardstock. I had one extra stamped, colored and fussy-cut image which I adhered to the inside.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! This stamp set is so versatile and fun to use!

Scrappy hugs,

I turtley adore you

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a super sweet CAS-ish card featuring our Turtle Brads and Pearl Bling Multi Size Green! There’s something about a tag on the front of card… and especially a tag with a super cute turtle and a pun-y sentiment! This is so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it! And sometimes less is definitely more!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis White 110# cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock and a green dotted pattern from the Stamp Anniething Summer Tropics 6×6 double-sided papers. I die cut a tag from CutCardStock Basis White 80# cardstock using the CUTplorations Stitched Tags Nesting Dies and stamped the sentiment in green ink. I added a couple strips cut from the green cardstock to the bottom of the tag, added the Turtle Brad and a tiny heart punched from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Cotton Candy cardstock. I added some green crafting cord to the tag before adhering it to the card front, and then added some Green Pearl Bling to finish it off.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis White 80# cardstock and embellished it with a wide strip of the green dotted patterned paper used on the front. I stamped the sentiment in green ink and layered the panel on CutCardStock Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock cardstock.

And one more look… so very happy with how this turned out! These turtle brads are super adorable and this little guy paired perfectly with the stamp set!

Scrappy hugs,

My challenge blogs are not closing…

Just letting everybody know that I decided (yesterday) NOT to close my four challenge blogs in 2022, so be sure to visit them tomorrow morning at 4:00 AM Mountain Time for new challenges!

It’s been a whirlwind 24 hours getting them ready for the new year after I told everybody I was closing them, lol! I hate it when I change my other mind! 😉

But I’ve made some major changes to the challenge structures to make things easier for Tina and I, and new blog themes are planned for later this afternoon when the current challenges are over, so be sure to visit if you are regular players!

Scrappy hugs,

Christmas Mini Album

Hey, everybody! Happy Hump Day – I hope you’re having a great week and it’s not too cold where you are! I’m thrilled to be back on the Clear Scraps blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas – it’s so hard to believe that it has come and gone! We had an absolutely beautiful Christmas and the real truth is that it’ll be here again before we know it! I have one last Christmas project for the year to share featuring our Chipboard Tag Album that has plenty of room for documenting those Christmas memories. You’ll be seeing more Christmas projects from me in the upcoming months because Christmas is my favorite holiday and I create holiday cards and projects all year long!

I covered the front and back sides of the four tags with Christmas papers, inked the edges and embellished each side with coordinating ephemera and stickers. There are pockets with pull-out cards and tags as well as folders that open outward and upward… lots of open space for photos and journaling! This was a super fun project!
