cue the confetti!

Hey everybody, Happy Friday! I hope the first half of the first month of 2025 is going well for you. I’m delighted to share a DT inspiration project for Emily Moore Designs featuring the NEW Decorative Sentiment Dies and All The Happy Things stamp set. If you haven’t yet checked out these new products released on January 1st, you are in for a surprise… fun stuff, for sure! And to save you a few bucks, these two are available in the Decorative and Happy Bundle! And if you’re a new customer, don’t forget to use my code LESLIE10 for 10% off your order!

The double flap fun fold is one of my favorites and I thought it would make an excellent card for new grandparents, so that’s the direction I went, using a pink and purple color combo. I also used the Yay! Layered Word Die, Confetti Layered Stencils, Simon Hurley Silver Lining Lunar Paste and the Graduation & Retirement stamp set, all of which compliment these new products in a most awesome way.

I started by creating the background on CutCardStock Savoy Brilliant White Cotton cardstock using the Confetti Layered Stencils, Ranger picked raspberry and shaded lilac distress inks and a couple blending brushes, and Simon Hurley Silver Lining Lunar Paste and a spatula. While it was drying, I cut a flag, small heart and sentiment banner from Doodlebug Design Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints, CutCardStock Silk Glitter Silvermist cardstock and a Solar White cardstock scrap, all using the Decorative Sentiment Dies, and set them aside.

I cut the card base, a stitched circle die cut (using the Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nested Cutting Dies), and the focal using the (Yay! Layered Word Die) from American Crafts Taffy cardstock. I cut layering panels from Doodlebug Design Plaid-Polka Dot and Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints. The confetti background was dry at this point so I cut a stitched circle using a slightly smaller die from the Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nested Cutting Dies. I assembled the card, and the final step was stamping a sentiment from the All The Happy Things stamp set on the banner in the picked raspberry distress ink and popping it up on 3D Foam Squares.

I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of paper from the Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints. I stamped two sentiments (one from the All The Happy Things stamp set and the other from the Graduation & Retirement stamp set) in the picked raspberry and shaded lilac distress inks. LOVE how this turned out!

Scrappy hugs,

hello my friend

Hey everybody, happy Wednesday! Can you believe we’re already to the middle of January?! I hope it’s not too cold where you are – it’ll be a minute before Spring arrives! I’m up on the Scrapbook Pal blog today sharing a tutorial for making a clean and simple friendship card featuring the Hero Arts Floral Rainbow and Clouds Clear Stamps & Dies. I totally love color. I am all about rainbows and pretty rainbow colors, and the brighter the colors are, the better I love them! So you can imagine how much I enjoyed using these products. Hero Arts never disappoints!

I started by stamping the focal image from the Hero Arts Floral Rainbow and Clouds Clear Stamps on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored it with a variety of Copic Ciao alcohol markers and then cut it with the coordinating die. Next, I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel which I cut with a Pinkfresh Studio Postage Edge Nested Rectangle die. I cut a slightly larger panel from CutCardStock Wild Salmon which I adhered beneath the postage edge panel and then adhered the panel to the card front on foam strips. I adhered the focal image along with sentiments (from the same stamp set) to the layered panel with foam squares. The finishing touch was adding a few iridescent gemstones.

I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock, stamped the sentiment and flower in black ink, and layered the panel on the salmon cardstock.

Hey everybody, happy Saturday! Dang, not that I’m complaining, but the weekends seem to roll around faster and faster, don’t they?! I’m stoked to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today created with our NEW Little Dreamer Collection! OMGosh, this collection was just released yesterday and I love it so much! I don’t have a whole lot of baby-themed papers, stamps and ephemera in my stash and when I saw this, I was totally in love! And of course, I HAD to use our KIS Cuts Baby Romper dies with it because I love shaped cards! Seriously, how cute is this?!

Using the KIS Cuts Baby Romper Card die set, I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with layering panels for the romper from prints in the Little Dreamer 6×9 Collection Pack and our Back To Basics Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. I embellished the romper with Back To Basics Pastel Glitter Enamel Dots on the bottom flap and several little flowers in assorted colors from the Little Dreamer Die Cut Pieces popped up on adhesive foam pads. I stamped the sentiment from the Little Dreamer Collection Stamps in Catherine Pooler Rose Petals ink and cut it with the coordinating Outline Die. The finishing touch was adding a tiny iridescent gemstone to the center of each flower.

For the inside, I cut a circle using a Back To Basics Stitched Circles Nested Die and stamped a sentiment from the Collection Stamps in the Rose Petals ink. I added a little shimmer to the hearts with a Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

Tea Time Fun Fold

Hey everybody, Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a good week and it’s not too chilly where you are, but if it is, I have the perfect card to warm you up! I’m up on the Love From Lizi blog today with a tutorial for making a tea-themed pop-up card. This awesome card features our Its Always Tea Time Cutting Die which I paired with prints from the Indigoletta 6×6 Patterned Paper Pack, a Stitched Oval Nested Cutting Die, and some Pin Stripe Mauve Mirror Peel-Off Stickers. What a gorgeous combination!

I cut the card base, pop-up panel and banner from CutCardStock Lessebo Moss Green cardstock. Next I cut layering panels from CutCardStock Plum cardstock as well as the Indigoletta 6×6 Patterned Paper Pack, and assembled the basic card, adhering the banner vertically down the front.

Using the Its Always Tea Time Cutting Die, I cut the focal from CutCardStock Bright Gold Foil and again from the Plum cardstock. I layered them together, slightly offsetting the purple for just a bit of gold highlight. I adhered the focal to an oval cut with the Stitched Oval Nested Cutting Die and then to the card front. I added a small disc magnet to keep the card closed.

I added several Pin Stripe Mauve Mirror Peel-Off Stickers to the inside pop-up panel and the message card. I also fussy cut a floral from the paper pack and adhered it to the message card which I left blank to write a custom message.

Scrappy hugs,

Love & Thanks Postcard

Hey everybody! I hope your new year has started off on a nice note and it’s not too cold where you are. We’ve gotten a little more snow out here in southwestern Colorado but our Winter has been so mild we have absolutely zero complaints. And today is my dad’s birthday in Heaven – he was born 112 years ago and I sure do miss him. I was a daddy’s girl and he left us when I was only 16, leaving a gaping hole in my heart.

I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making a postcard. A postcard, you say? Well, we need to thank those who sent Christmas gifts, so I thought this would be a fun way to do it! I used the awesome Classic Crest Epic Black and Beetle Black which I paired with our Brilliant White Cotton. I also used Silk Glitter Opulent Opal and 80# Solar White. The Sizzix Dash Away All die set was included in the prize pack I recently won on Instagram and I really wanted to use it even though the Christmas season is over. ;)

I started by inking a piece of Savoy Brilliant White Cotton cardstock with a variety of Ranger distress inks. I punched a 1-3/4″ circle into a piece of masking paper and inked the moon with fossilized amber and vintage photo. Then I masked off the moon with the punched circle and inked the sky with stormy sky, prize ribbon and villainous potion. I cut the inked panel with a Love From Lizi Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Die. I die cut the star trail directly into the inked panel using a die in the Dash Away All set and backed it with a Silk Glitter Opulent Opal scrap. And finally, I splattered Copic Opaque White paint over the panel.

Next, using the Pinkfresh Studio Postage Edge Nested Rectangles Dies, I cut the postcard base from Neenah Classic Crest 130# Epic Black cardstock. I also die cut three Santas with reindeer using the Sizzix Dash Away All Thinlits and a cityscape using the Memory Box Cityscape Nightline die, all from Beetle Black cardstock. Project assembly is always the most fun and I loved watching this one come to life. I adhered the cityscape across the bottom, trimmed it and ran the panel back through the Big Shot with the stitched rectangle die. I stacked the three Santas and reindeer for dimension and adhered them in the sky. The final touch was stamping the sentiment from the Keep It Simple Thank You Sentiments stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I die cut an additional stitched rectangle for the back from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock using a Love From Lizi Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Die and stamped another sentiment from the Keep It Simple Thank You Sentiments stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Hello Pumpkin

Hey everybody, happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a nice relaxed weekend after taking our Loki to the vet Friday morning with a digestive issue. Knowing he’s on the mend and feeling so much better is a huge relief. We sure do love our feline (and canine) kids and hate seeing them sick. I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today featuring one of our new Shaker Frames that were released in September. I used the A2 Shaker Frame #6 along with papers from the Autumn Charm collection and stamps from our Bizzy Hands Fall Gnome and Farmhouse Fall stamp sets. As much as I love me some gnomes, it’s hard to believe I used the Fall Gnome stamp set without the gnome, but yes I did. LOL! This card just needed the pumpkins!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis Natural cardstock and rounded the corners. I die cut the frame components from prints in the Autumn Charm 6×9 Collection Pack using the KIS Shaker Frames A2 Frames #6. I used acetate and 2mm foam from the Back To Basics Shaker Basics Foam & Acetate Pack with five varieties of Sprinkles to make up the shaker mix. I stamped a sentiment and several images from the Bizzy Hands Fall Gnome stamp set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink, colored the images with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them to embellish the front.

I cut the inside panel from Basis Natural as well and embellished it with a leftover strip of paper from the Farmhouse Fall Collection Pack. I stamped a sentiment from the Farmhouse Fall stamp set in Rich Cocoa ink and layered the panel on another print from the Collection Pack.

Hey everybody, Happy Weekend – I hope you have something fun planned! I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today created with items in our new Here Comes Santa Claus Collection. This faux center step card is pretty close to the top of my ‘all-time favorites’ list and is super easy! The instructions are on the Freebies page of my blog HERE if you’re interested in learning how to make it. You’ll be pleasantly surprised!

I cut the card base and center panel from CutCardStock Lessebo Moss Green cardstock as well as layering panels from the Here Comes Santa Claus 6×9 Collection pack. I assembled the card and added some Eyelet Outlet wide Road Washi Tape. I added sentiment and images from the Here Comes Santa Claus Die Cut Pieces, and voila, card front finished!

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of patterned paper used on the front and a star from the Die Cut Pieces. I added sentiments (also from the Die Cut Pieces) and another panel on the back for a more finished look.

Scrappy hugs,

Congratulations tri-fold

Hey everybody, can you believe 2025 is here already?! As quickly as 2024 passed us by, it’ll be Christmas again before we know it… LOL! I’m up on the Emily Moore Designs blog today with a sweet new home card featuring our NEW All The Happy Things stamp set and Decorative Sentiment Dies. These two new products are available in a bundle for a discounted price, so look for the Decorative and Happy Bundle on the website, and if you’re a new customer, be sure to use my code LESLIE10 for 10% off your order! I also used the Gift Card Holder With A Bow for this tri-fold and I love how it turned out. I’ve made quite a few tri-folds recently; it truly is one of the easiest fun folds ever.

I cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base from CutCardStock Basis Dark Red cardstock and scored it at 4-1/4″. Next, I cut an additional 4-5/8” x 5-1/2” panel and scored it at 3/8″, then adhered it to the right edge of the card base on the 3/8″ flap to create the tri-fold. I cut several 1/4″ strips from Celebration Warehouse Dark Red Wine Non-Shedding Glitter cardstock along with several 1/8” strips from CutCardStock Basis Natural cardstock. I adhered two of each strip in a vertical orientation and two in a horizontal orientation on the cart front, slightly separating each pair. I wove them for a little interest.

Using the dies in the Gift Card Holder With A Bow set, I created a bow from the Basis Dark Red and Dark Red Wine Glitter cardstock and adhered it to the cross-section of the strips. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the All The Happy Things stamp set in Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink which I cut using the label-type die in the Decorative Sentiment Dies and popped up on 3D Foam Squares.

For the tri-fold flap, I used the larger decorative edge rectangle die in the Decorative Sentiment Dies to cut a panel from the Basis Dark Red for a gift card. I cut a slightly larger panel from Basis Natural using the paper trimmer and rounded the corners to match the corners of the decorative edge die cut. Using the Gift Card Holder Die With A Bow set, I cut a gift card holder from Fred She Said Floral Surprises digital paper and trimmed it to fit inside the decorative edges of the die cut.

For the inside, I cut a 4-1/8” x 5-3/8” panel from the same Fred She Said digital paper. I have hundreds (if not thousands) of digital paper files on my laptop and I’m going to start using them! ;) Using the smaller decorative edge rectangle die in the Decorative Sentiment Dies, I cut a sentiment panel from Basis Natural. I stamped another sentiment from the All The Happy Things stamp set in Rhubarb Stalk ink and adhered it to the inside panel.

Hey everybody, Happy New Year! Wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025! My daughter, my firstborn, is 41 today and I don’t know how that’s possible because I’m only 29. Bahahaha! I’ve been busting at the seams to blab that I have joined the Creative Creases Challenge DT this year, and I couldn’t be more excited! You know how I love me some fun folds and this opportunity is right up my alley. This is the only challenge team I’m on now (the other five are product teams) and I’m really looking forward to sharing some fun folds. These challenges have historically been every other week on Fridays, and this year Debbie has changed the schedule to monthly challenges to give everyone more time, so come on over and play with us! Challenge #99 is live this morning and I’ve created a get well card for my debut project using the Sizzix Door Fold-A-Long Thinlits. This is a super easy card that really packs a punch and can be tailored to any season or occasion.

All the cardstock I used is from CutCardStock. I cut the card base and door accents from Lessebo Granite Gray and Shadow Gray, and the door handles from Bright Silver Foil and Stardream Metallic Silver. Next, I cut the wreath from Pop Tone Jellybean Green and flowers from Raspberry Ice and Pink Tutu cardstock. I added tiny gray gemstones to the center of each flower. The wreath can be made in any color combination for any season or occasion. So fun!

I cut the inside panel from Lessebo White cardstock and stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Hand-Penned Petals in Catherine Pooler Black Jack ink. I added a few more pink flowers, and the card was complete.

Hey everybody, Happy Thursday! If you celebrate the birth of Christ in any religion, I hope you had a beautiful holiday! The Christmas/Winter season is my favorite and we had a wonderful day. I’m stoked to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with the super adorable Bizzy Hands Snow Glad We Are Friends stamp set. Our design team created Christmas, New Year or Winter projects and I settled on a cute lil’ round Winter-themed card. I love shaped cards and this image was perfect for this, and it was fun to color!

Using dies in the set of Back To Basics Stitched Circles Nested Dies, I cut the card base and front panel from CutCardStock Basis White along with a frame from a pattern in the Back To Basics Ruby 6×9 Collection Pack. I stamped the image from the Bizzy Hands Snow Glad We Are Friends stamp set on the die cut front panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with alcohol markers.

I stamped a sentiment from the Namaste Home stamp set (which is on clearance, by the way) in black ink, trimmed it, and adhered it to the bottom of the card front. I adhered the frame and a tiny bow created from Back To Basics Stars & Stripes Ribbon using a cool little wooden bow maker that my awesome friend, Maureen, gifted me last Christmas.

For the inside, I die cut two circles using more dies in the set of Stitched Circles Nested Dies, adhered them together, and stamped a sentiment from the Bizzy Hands stamp set in black ink.
