Autumn Harvest

Hi everyone! Well, it’s a just tad bit chilly this morning and we’re supposed to have sunshine today, so it’s going to be a beautiful day! I have an amazing ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with the awesome September 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! I created a stand-up box card which is a little bit different than the box cards we typically see. I’ve made a few of these over the years and they sure make a statement! This one features papers and stickers from this month’s collection along with chipboard accents and chipboard phrases from the upgrades!

I cut the card base and stand-up panel from CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating prints in the kit. I dug into the upgrades and added a bicycle from the chipboard accents and a chalkboard from the chipboard phrases which I embellished with some stickers from the sticker sheet for a little interest. I added several more chipboard accents from the upgrades to the front of the box portion. The finishing touch was adding several red gemstones to the stand-up panel.

This card folds flat for mailing and is a standard A2 size when folded. The plus is that it’s really a simple design that doesn’t require a long list of supplies! So fun!

FALL

Hey everybody! OMGoodness, we’ve been having the most glorious temps out here in southwestern Colorado! I think Autumn may indeed be on it’s way! I have an amazing ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you today created with the awesome Autumn/Fall-themed September 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! I created a simple A2 card using papers, stickers and chipboard accents from the upgrades. The cozy living room scene on this card just screams Fall weather which is indeed my favorite time of the year!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and embellishing strip from CutCardStock Basis Natural cardstock along with layering panels from coordinating papers in the kit which I used to create the wall and floor, with the embellishing strip used as the baseboard. For the rug, I die cut a rectangle from an additional paper in the kit using the Keep It Simple Stitched Rectangles Nested Dies, and then adhered the couch from the chipboard accents in the upgrades. I added the F-A-L-L pennants (also from the chipboard accents) on a knotted length of white twine which I embellished with orange gemstones. The final touch was adding several details (using stickers from the sticker sheet) to the wall so it didn’t look quite so bare.

I embellished the inside panel with a strip from the edge of one of the patterned papers in the collection, added a sentiment from the sticker sheet, and layered the panel on a coordinating print.

Have a Toadally Merry Christmas

Hey everybody! Dang, can you believe how fast the time is flying?! We’re already headed into the middle of September! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the new Christmas with Spinach and Ramona stamp set! This is one of the cutest stamp sets I have ever had in my hands and I created an inverted standing triple panel card to show off these adorable little critters!

I cut the card base and front panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White 12×12 cardstock. I stamped the image from the Christmas with Spinach and Ramona stamp set on the front panel and colored it with alcohol markers, adding some accents with metallic pens. I stamped snowflakes all over the card base and front panel and added clear iridescent gemstones to the center of random snowflakes for some pretty sparkle. I stamped the sentiment on Basis White, trimmed it into three strips, and added it to the front which completed the card.

Delightful Serenity of Nature

Howdy peeps! I hope you’re having a great weekend! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #74! I created a nature-themed triple cube card. I’m totally addicted to this fun fold! Despite the complex look, this one is really pretty simple and I’ve made quite a few of these over the past couple years. They are so fun to embellish!

I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from a variety of KNC Essentials papers (Showering Nature 12×12 paper pack, Stories of the Wild 12×12 paper pack and Stories of the Wild 6×6 paper pack) and CutCardStock Bright Silver Foil cardstock. Each panel was embellished with ephemera from the KNC Essentials Stories of the Wild Ephemera pack.

The two back panels were cut from 80# Solar White and CutCardStock Bright Silver foil cardstock and embellished with a couple more critters from the KNC Essentials Stories of the Wild Ephemera pack. I stamped a sentiment from KNC Essentials Stories of the Wild stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink which completed the card.

Scrappy hugs,

Fall is my Season

Hey everybody! I hope you’ve had a great week and you have something fun planned this weekend! I have an amazing ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you this morning created with the awesome September 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! This Autumn/Fall-themed collection has some of the most beautiful papers I’ve ever seen. I used papers and elements from the Frames & Tags and Chipboard Phrases in the upgrades for this double flap fun fold. I have a huge fun fold tutorial arsenal with many versions of the ‘double flap’ fun fold. This version has three sentiment panels and I love how it turned out! It has been a minute since I made one like this, and you’ll be seeing this fun fold again soon! I had forgotten how cool it is!

I cut the top-folding bi-level card base from a striped paper along with a wood-look layering panel for the second layer. I die cut a tag from a coordinating paper and another one from CutCardStock Basis Natural cardstock using the STAMPlorations Stitched Tags Nesting Dies. I adhered them together and then to the short flap. I added an element from the Chipboard Phrases in the upgrades and a white twine bow, and then added several Keep It Simple Mango Enamel Dots to the sides of the short flap.

I cut the top-folding second layer from Basis Natural and adhered the wood-look layering panel to it along with an element from the Frames & Tags in the upgrades.

I embellished the inside of the second layer with a strip off the edge of one of the patterned papers in the kit and another element from the Frames & Tags in the upgrades. I love that there are three sentiments on this card – each layer you lift reveals another one!

Caturday ATC Mini Album

Hey everybody, Happy Thursday! I’ve popped in this morning to share a Syncopation Design DT inspiration project! I created a fun ATC mini album using pocket cards, papers and elements in the new Caturday digiscrap collection which I absolutely love! You know how I love me some mini albums, and as soon as I saw this collection, I knew I had to create something to document all those fun cat antics! This was definitely a fun project! However, I do need to disclose a profanity alert on two of the album pages just in case any parents might be thinking about sharing this post with youngsters. Typically I keep my posts family-friendly and the profanity is very minor in my opinion, but I still feel the need to disclose.

I cut ten ATC size (2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″) pages for the album from Neenah Classic Crest 165# Solar White cardstock and rounded the corners. I trimmed ten pocket cards and ten digital papers (five patterned and five plain printed on HP 32# copy paper) from the collection to just slightly under ATC size, rounded the corners, and adhered them randomly to both sides of each page.

I added elements from the collection to embellish most of the pages but did use a few items from my stash. I punched a hole in the top left corner of the stack of pages using my Crop-A-Dile Big Bite and bound the album with a ball chain and clasp from my stash. I wrapped an assortment of ribbon pieces around the chain clasp and tied them together with white twine.

I Put A Spell On You

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great week so far! I’m back with my second post this morning and this one is a super cute Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with items in the NEW too-cute-to-spook A Wee Bit Wicked Collection! OMGoodness, I’m having THE best time with this collection! I’ve made another swing flap card which has quickly climbed to the top of my all-time favorite fun folds! It packs such a punch and is great for any occasion!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock along with a layering panel from a spider web print in the A Wee Bit Wicked 12×12 Collection Pack. I adhered the witch and cloud (from the Wee Bits Die Cut Pieces) to a square cut from Basis Black using the Stitched Squares Nested Dies. I added the front sentiment, a black and white striped strip and stars from the Cards and Phrases Die Cut Pieces, which completed the card front.

I layered an orange dot panel from the 12×12 Collection Pack on the inside, then stamped a sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink from the Halloqueen Sentiments stamp set and cut it with the coordinating Halloqueen Outline Dies. I also added another star from the Cards and Phrases Die Cut Pieces and a cat from the Wee Bits Die Cut Pieces to complete the inside.

Here’s a shot of the card folded flat for mailing. Swoon! I SO love this fold!

Scrappy hugs,

Super Fantastic Mega News!

Happy Hump Day, everybody! I hope you’re having a great week! I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring our Basis White, Basis White 12×12, Royal Sundance Linen Eclipse Black and Silk Glitter Black Prince cardstock. I created a pretty tri-fold congratulations card in a gorgeous black and white color combo. You know how I love me some fun folds! I made one similar to this recently with oval panels. The best part of this particular design is being able to make the panels whatever shape you want! ;)

I cut the tri-fold card base from Basis 80# White 12×12 cardstock along with layering panels from Royal Sundance Linen Eclipse Black cardstock. I then die cut decorative panels for the three panels from Basis 80# White 8.5×11 cardstock along with slightly smaller ones from Doodlebug Design Floral-Graph and Buffalo Check-Woodgrain Rainbow Petite Prints. I used the old-as-the-hills Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Seventeen dies which I’m sure I’ve had in my stash (along with many others in this line) for close to ten years, lol!

Using the Stampin’ Up Blossom Bunch Punch, I punched quite a few flowers from Silk Glitter Black Prince cardstock and Basis White cardstock, and added Eyelet Outlet Black Enamel Dots to the centers of each. I adhered them across the bottom of the three panels and on each decorative panel. I stamped the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up Charming Sentiments stamp set in Catherine Pooler Black Jack ink and cut them with the coordinating Stampin’ Up Sentiment Silhouettes Dies.

I cut a small signature panel for the back from Basis White which I layered on a coordinating Doodlebug Design pattern.

Mad About You

Hey everybody! Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! It’ll soon be Halloween and I’m still playing with scary cats and bats! I’m delighted to be back up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with a fun Halloween card featuring the Cheshire-type cat in the Scary Cats 2 stamp set! This was such a fun and easy card to put together, and would be a great design to mass-produce if you send out a lot of Halloween Cards, and especially if you’re an Alice in Wonderland fan! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and a layering panel from Keep It Simple Ruby 12×12 Collection Pack. A striped pattern to match the cat was just the ticket! I rounded the bottom right corner on both the card base and layering panel, and then stamped the cat from the Scary Cats 2 stamp set on Solar White. I cut him at an angle with an oval die and then cut a slightly larger oval to offset behind the cat. I stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) and added several black enamel dots to complete the card.
