So Much Fun

Hey everybody! Not sure where this year has gone but the months just continue to fly right on by! I’m delighted to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with papers, stamps and dies in the new Craft Mode Collection! This fun slimline shaker card features stamped and die cut craft supplies included in the shaker mix! How fun is that?!

I cut a 3-3/4″ x 9″ slimline card base from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. I then cut a layering panel from a pink print in the Craft Mode 12×12 Collection Pack. Using the Wavy Slimline Die, I cut a shaker panel for the front from a green print in the Craft Mode 12×12 Collection Pack, reserving the negative spaces to use on the shaker, along with an acetate panel.

I stamped the scissors, tape, washi tape and glitter elements from the Craft Mode Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Solar White cardstock. I colored them with fine point markers and cut them with the coordinating Craft Mode Outline Dies. I added Kat Scrappiness Crystal Clear Pinwheel Sequin Mix and Pearl Glass Dots along with the die cut craft supplies to the shaker and sealed it up. I stamped a sentiment from the same Craft Mode Stamps, trimmed it and adhered it to the top right corner of the shaker.

I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with the green patterned paper used on the front. I stamped a sentiment from the At The Expo Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and layered the panel on the pink patterned paper used on the front.

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a FABulous week! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #73! All of our challenges are Anything Goes and we’d love for you to link up with us this month! I created a pretty front flap card (which seems to have become one of my most favorite fun folds) employing the random inking technique which really yields an amazing result!

I cut the front flap card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Keep It Simple Ruby 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped the image from the Stampin’ Up Eden’s Garden stamp set in Ranger mowed lawn, fired brick, pine needles and frayed burlap distress inks. I stamped the sentiment (from the same Stampin’ Up stamp set) in Memento Espresso Truffle ink, cut it with a Spellbinders Classic Ovals Small die, and layered it on a slightly larger oval cut with a Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large die. The finishing touch was the addition of several Taylored Expressions Silver Drip Drops.

I embellished the inside of the front flap with a coordinating strip of paper from the Keep It Simple Ruby 12×12 Collection Pack, and stamped the sentiment (also from the Stampin’ Up Eden’s Garden stamp set) in Memento Espresso Truffle ink.

Merry Christmas & Hoppy New Year

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great week! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog with an inspiration project featuring the NEW Christmas with Spinach and Ramona stamp set! I created a slimline card in a pale pink and green color combo, and OMGoodness, talk about totally adorable! These two couldn’t be any cuter!

I cut a 3-3/4″ x 9″ slimline card base from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock along with layering panels from pale pink, pale green and dark green papers in the Keep It Simple Ruby and Jade 12×12 Collection Packs. I stamped the image from the Christmas with Spinach and Ramona stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basis White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and then fussy cut it. I adhered the image to the card front and stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in Memento Northern Pine ink. The finishing touch was adding several pink gemstones.

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day – I hope you’re having a great week! I’ve popped in to share my final inspiration project for the Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT! I had such a great six-month run with them and I can’t believe how fast it went by! This birthday card features another older rubber stamp in my stash – the Paper Mania Beautiful Time Pieces stamp. I sure do love a black and gold color combo!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis Black along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Curious Metallic Gold Leaf which I ran through the Big Shot with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. I framed the focal image (stamped with the Paper Mania Beautiful Time Pieces rubber stamp) with die cuts using the STAMPlorations Pierced Curly Frames/Tags Nesting Dies cut from the black and gold cardstock.

I colored the frame around the center watch face with a Pentel Slicci Gold Pen and adhered a round piece of acetate to the front of it to mimic a real gold watch. I die cut the letters for the ‘timeless’ sentiment from Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock using the Sizzix Alphanumeric Tiny Type Lower Thinlits and adhered them to a Basis Black cardstock strip.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the Basis Black and Curious Metallic Gold Leaf. I stamped the sentiment from the Gina K Designs Birthday Greetings stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Inlaid Die Cut Window Cards

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday and Happy Birthday to my sister! I’ve been saying for years now that once her birthday comes around, Christmas is right behind it! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share with you today featuring our Cougar Smooth White cardstock along with Royal Sundance Burgundy Linen and Pop Tone Grape Jelly cardstock. I discovered with this project that our slightly thicker Cougar White 4×6 Flat Cards are great for adding dimensional die cuts! These baby girl cards with inlaid die cut windows turned out so cute and were such fun to make!

I cut two standard size A2 side-folding card bases from Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock along with front layering panels from two patterned papers which I washi taped to the card fronts. Using the Dare 2B Artzy Bear Banner die set, I die cut the bear shape apertures into the front flap on each card (through both layers) and removed the washi tape. I tossed the plaid paper negative space pieces and saved the cardstock ones for stamping.

I adhered the plaid paper layering panels and embellishing strips cut from Royal Sundance Burgundy Linen cardstock and Pop Tone Grape Jelly cardstock to each card front. I stamped the bears on the reserved negative spaces in Memento Tuxedo Black ink using the Dare 2B Artzy Bear Banner stamp set, colored them with alcohol markers, and layered each of them onto two more die cuts (cut from slightly thicker Cougar White 110# White Flat Cards) prior to adhering them to the inside of the card.

The B-A-B-Y banner pieces for each card were also stamped on Cougar White 110# White Flat Card in Catherine Pooler It’s a Girl and Lime Rickey inks. I stamped the front sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the upper right corner on each of the card fronts and added clear iridescent gemstones.

Here are shots of the inside of each card. The inside panels for each card were cut from coordinating papers along with a Cougar Smooth White cardstock panel for a signature. Typically inlaid die cuts are flat but these cards open up to reveal the window that the dimensional die cut fits into, which is a slightly different twist. ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Great Times!

Hi friends! I hope your week has started off nicely and it’s not too awfully hot where you are. We’ve actually seen some lower temps out here which has been a God-send! I have another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project to share and this one is a true one-layer clean and simple card. Yay me! I can’t seem to pull these off very often! I start out with ‘one layer’ in mind and then before I know it, I’ve added a die cut or three and it’s no longer one layer or CAS! Bahahaha!

Needless to say, one-layer cards don’t require a long list of supplies, and two stamp sets with two ink pads along with my card base are the main ingredients for this one! This older Unity Stamp Co. ‘3 Stick Chicks’ rubber stamp is another one I’ve had in my stash (since probably 2014 or 2015) and has never been inked up! This image brought back more great memories of my BFFs and I going out bar-hopping back in the 70s! We DID have some great times! ;)

I cut a standard size A2 side-folding landscape card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the right upper and lower corners. I stamped the Unity Stamps 3 Stick Chicks image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the sentiment from the older Hero Arts Girls Night Out stamp set in Memento Lilac Posies ink. BOOM – that’s it for the front of this one!

I stamped another sentiment from the Hero Arts Girls Night Out stamp set on the inside in Lilac Posies ink, which completed my one-layer card!

Scrappy hugs,

groovin’

Happy Monday, everybody! I hope you had a groovy weekend! I have a really fun Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project to share today featuring a groovin’ granny (that would be me) gettin’ down to some disco music! Brings back loads of memories from the 70s! Bahahaha! This is another one of those stamp sets I’ve had in my stash for ages and it’s never been used so I thought it was time to bring it out and ink it up! I created this fun card with a tag in bright orange with a splash of hot pink which was very 70s disco!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with bright orange and hot pink layering panels from DCWV Double-Sided Cardstock and an orange dotted pattern from Colorbok Seeing Dots cardstock. Using the STAMPlorations Stitched Tags Nesting Dies, I cut the main tag from 80# Solar White and an outline panel from the bright orange. I threaded a short piece of Really Reasonable Ribbon pink checkerboard satin ribbon through the hole at the top which I adhered on the back and then added a tiny bow fashioned from Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine.

I stamped the image from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Disco Fever stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 80# Solar White cardstock and colored her with alcohol markers. I fussy cut her and adhered her to the tag. I used a Pentel Slicci Gold Pen to add details over the bright orange background and then added several hot pink punched swirls made with my McGill Petite Petals Punch. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock, colored the letters with an alcohol marker and added details with the gold pen.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White and embellished it with strips of orange polka dot and hot pink cardstock used on the front. I stamped the sentiment in black ink, colored the letters with an alcohol marker and added details with the gold pen.

Scrappy hugs,

I Love Fall

Hey everybody! Happy Weekend… it’s almost over! Just like that! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share created with the new Autumn Charm Collection! Oh.My.Goodness. Just when I think they can’t come up with anything cuter than what they’ve already released… BOOM, there it is! There are so many adorable papers, stamps and dies, and die cuts in this collection, I can’t stand it! Pumpkins, mushrooms, foxes, hedgehogs and all kinds of critters! And you know how I love me some fun folds, so I created a triple cube card showcasing lots of papers and die cuts!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis 80# Natural cardstock and assembled it. Using the Stitched Squares Nested Dies, I cut six stitched squares from papers in the 6×9 Collection Pack which I layered onto slightly larger square panels cut from CutCardStock Pop Tone Hot Fudge cardstock. I embellished each of the squares and created a sentiment panel with die cuts from the Autumn Foxes and Autumn Hedgehogs Die Cut Pieces.

I cut the back panels from Basis Natural cardstock and embellished them with die cuts from the Autumn Foxes and Autumn Hedgehogs Die Cut Pieces. I stamped a sentiment from the Autumn Sentiments stamp set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and layered the panels on Hot Fudge cardstock.

Hi friends! Can you believe how fast these weeks and weekends are flying by?! It’ll be Christmas before we know it! And you think I’m kidding?! Bahahaha! I’m pumped to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project with you created with an awesome IndigoBlu stamp set! Before Ed became disabled, we owned several motorcycles and rode quite frequently with our group of friends. Such good times and such good memories! This clean and simple card has a super short list of supplies and is actually a one-layer card! I don’t do one-layer cards very frequently so I’m rather proud of this one!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock. I stamped the bike image from the IndigoBlu Ride Long stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the front flap and the sentiment just beneath it. BOOM… that’s it!

I stamped the other sentiment from the Ride Long stamp set on the inside. Such a fun, easy card!

Scrappy hugs,

love much & laugh often

Hey everybody! Happy Saturday! Another week bites the dust, lol! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project featuring a double-layer debossed/embossed background of clock faces on a note card! The top layer is debossed with dark ink swiped onto the embossing folder and the second layer is regular embossing. Fun technique… not sure what it’s called but I like it! And I’m sure I didn’t make it up but I’ve never seen another project like it! LOL!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis Brown along with two layering panels from the Core’dination Kraft-Core Nostaglic Collection cardstock pad. I ran one of the panels through the Big Shot with the Tim Holtz pocket watches embossing folder. For the other one, I swiped Catherine Pooler Sand Castle ink directly onto the embossing folder prior to running it through the Big Shot for a debossed effect. I trimmed both panels up a bit and adhered them together and then to the card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Steampunk Gears 2 stamp set in Catherine Pooler Over Coffee ink and tore it into a strip. The finishing touch was adding several Eyelet Outlet 5mm ivory pearls to the sentiment strip and 3mm brown pearls to the clock faces.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips of the debossed panel on the front and the Basis Brown used for the card base. Since this is a note card, I left the panel blank with plenty of room to write a custom message.
