Ocean-Beach Inchie Album

Hi friends! I’m back this evening to share a project that’s not for one of my design teams, believe it or not. I know, it’s a rare occurrence, lol. I’m so in love with inchie albums, I’ve started collecting them along with my ATCs! This one features the super awesome beachy 1×1 images from Gecko Galz. I’ve got quite a few different themed ones in my stash so you’ll be seeing more of these in the near future. They are fun, easy to make, and really pack a punch!

Even though the summer heat really gets to me, I’ve always loved the ocean/beach (I grew up on the Gulf coast of Florida) and have always felt that water is good for the soul, so that’s how I came up with my book title. I typed the book title on my laptop, trimmed it and ran a light blue Zig Clean Color Real Brush marker around the edges. I made the book from CutCardStock Basis 80# White 12×12 cardstock and the cover from Craft Consortium Ink Drops – Earth 6×6 paper pad.

I printed the Gecko Galz Beachy 1×1 digital image sheet on CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and punched the images with my EK Success 1″ square punch. Once I had all the inchie images adhered to the pages, I ran a Marvy Uchida DecoColor Silver paint pen around the edges which completed my little book.

the Beach is my Happy Place

Howdy peeps! Happy Thursday – we’re one day closer to the weekend! I’m happy to be back to share another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project with you today created with the amazing July 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. The papers and stickers in this collection are so fun, and they are great for creating beach-themed fun folds! I created this swing easel card using papers and stickers along with a chipboard element and adhesive brads from the upgrades, and it’s full of waves and critters! It can’t get any more fun than this!

I cut the card base using my Fiskars 12″ SureCut paper trimmer and Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. I cut layers and an embellishing strip from several coordinating papers in the kit. I trimmed a journaling card from the kit for the focal element and added several stickers from the sticker sheet and the turtle chipboard element from the adhesive brads in the upgrades. The finishing touch was adding two white adhesive brads.

And one final view of the card folded flat for mailing!

Sun and Fun GC Holder

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great week! I’m delighted to be back to share another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project with you today created with the July 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. I’m totally loving this collection with all the coordinating and fun summery papers and elements! I created a gift card holder using coordinating papers along with items from the upgrades! Who wouldn’t love to receive this to use for a beach party?!

I cut the gift card holder base from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels and an embellishing strip from coordinating papers in the kit. I rounded the bottom corners on the front flap and chose a large sentiment from the adhesive brads in the upgrades. The finishing touch was adding a small disc magnet for the closure which I adhered with Ranger Distress Collage Medium.

I adhered a tag from the tags & frames in the upgrades for the inside sentiment which completed the gift card holder.

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Trails

Hi friends! A big Happy Tuesday to you! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the super cute Ham Camper stamps and dies, Ham Camper Winter stamps and a sentiment from the Santa Koala & Mrs. Claus stamp set. I’ve been on a huge fun fold kick lately and created an adorable Christmas camper diorama card for our ‘Christmas in July’ showcase! I guess maybe I should say I’m still on a huge fun fold kick, lol, as I can’t get enough of ’em!

I cut the diorama card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock along with layering panels from prints in the Keep It Simple Jade 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped the front sentiment from the Santa Koala & Mrs. Claus stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added a sweet bow created with the Impression Obsession Small Bow die which I embellished with a single clear iridescent gemstone.

I stamped the camper for the inside from the Ham Camper stamps and Ham Camper Winter stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cougar White cardstock. I paper pieced some of the elements and colored the others with Sharpie ultra fine point markers and alcohol markers, and cut it with the coordinating Ham Camper dies. I adhered Eyelet Outlet Snow Tree brads prior to adhering the camper into the aperture with foam strips. I added several small clear iridescent gemstones and a sentiment stamped in black ink and cut with a die from the Keep It Simple Stitched Ovals Nested Dies.

Hi everyone! I hope you aren’t melting, lol! After the wicked cold winter we had, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised about the simmering hot summer we’re having! But dang it, Mother Nature… give us a break! It’s time to start sharing ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration projects created with the amazing July 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. OMGoodness, another summer collection that’s absolutely awesome! I created a fun twisted gate fold using papers and stickers along with chipboard and adhesive brads from the upgrades!

I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from two coordinating patterned papers in the collection. I chose a chipboard phrase from the upgrades for the focal element and layered it on an additional print. The finishing touch was adding two adhesive brads.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of the patterned paper used on the front with the chipboard, and added a couple stickers from the sticker sheet.

Scrappy hugs,

Queen For A Day

Hi friends! Happy Monday – here’s wishing you all a beautiful week coming up! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project. I absolutely love clean and simple, and readily admit that they haven’t always been easy for me. But I’ve been doing more and more of them over the past several years to the point where I’m pretty comfortable. This fun mom card features a Queen of Diamonds card brad and could be used for a birthday, Mother’s Day or just because mom needs to be spoiled! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I die cut layers for the focal element using Spellbinders Standard Circles Small dies and My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX, and affixed an Eyelet Outlet Queen of Diamonds card brad in the center. I stamped a sentiment from the Eyelet Outlet Card Stamps in Catherine Pooler Rockin’ Red ink just below the layered element. The finishing touch was adding several Eyelet Outlet red gemstones.

I kept the inside clean and simple as well, and just stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in Catherine Pooler Rockin’ Red ink.

Scrappy hugs,

Fabulous is what you are

Hey everybody! Well, we’re on the down-slide to the end of the weekend and I hope you’re having a good one! I’ve popped on this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project, and this clean and simple thank you card features a large sentiment as the focus, which I love!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding landscape card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with two frames from 80# Solar White and two frames from CutCardStock Curious Violette cardstock using the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX which I layered together for some dimension. I stamped the large sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Million & One stamp set in Catherine Pooler Queen for a Day ink in the center of the card front and adhered the frame. I cut a small crown from CutCardStock Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock using the Ellen Hutson Bravehearted die, and embellished it with three gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Twinkling Tourmaline Embellishment Mix using my Trinity Pick Up Stick. I punched two tiny hearts from a scrap of CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Amethyst cardstock using the Stampin’ Up Cookie Cutter Punch.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Curious Metallic Violette cardstock and adhered a Solar White cardstock negative-space rectangle left over from one of the frames cut for the front. I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in Catherine Pooler Queen for a Day ink.

Plant a Garden for the Bees

Howdy, friends! Hopefully you’re having some nice weather and have plans for a great weekend! I’ve popped in this morning to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project. This fun bee-themed card features papers, a journaling card and some ephemera from a pretty Echo Park collection kit! Super easy design that went together seamlessly!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from a bee print and a journaling card from the Echo Park My Favorite Spring Collection Kit along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Gold and Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock. I rounded the top left and bottom right corners of all the pieces, and adhered a couple bees from the ephemera in the kit for a little texture which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White, embellished it with strips from the bee print and black cardstock used on the front, and adhered a sentiment and another bee from the ephemera pack.

Hey everybody! Can you believe we’re in the middle of July already?! Where is the time going?! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today created with the new Craft Mode collection! This collection is seriously awesome! I created a double flap fun fold which reveals fun products from this collection on the front and on the two subsequent layers as the card is opened! #highpitchedsqueal

I cut the card base and layers from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock along with additional layering panels from the Craft Mode 6×9 Cardstock Pack and the 6×9 Collection Pack. I stamped the sentiment from the Craft Mode Collection Stamps at the top, and created a focal sentiment using the At The Expo Collection Stamps and At The Expo Outline Dies which I colored with Sharpie Ultra Fine Point markers. I embellished the front and inside layers with Craft Mode Die Cut Pieces and Enamel Dots. Here are sequential shots of the card opening. So stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it!

Royalty Inchie Album

Hey everybody! Happy Friday! Another week has almost bitten the dust! I have THE coolest Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project to share with you this morning! For many years I’ve been seeing ‘inchies’ and have never made any – an inchie is simply a 1×1 piece of artwork. Pretty tiny. So I combined my love of mini albums and the inchie concept, and made a tiny inchie album! I totally enjoyed making this and I see more in my future, for sure!

I started by creating the tiny book from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and covered the front and back covers with a print from the Craft Consortium Metal Textures 6×6 paper pad. I then printed the Gecko Galz Royal Jewel It 2 digital image sheet on 80# Solar White, cut the eight inchies from it that I wanted to use, and adhered them to the pages.

I typed the book title on a scrap piece of CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock that I had out on my desk from another project. I trimmed it, ran a Memento Rich Cocoa marker around the edges, and adhered it to the front of the album. I took a Marvy Uchida DecoColor Gold Metallic paint marker and ran it around the edge of all the pages, which completed the tiny book. Here are shots of the royal photos! ;)
