Summer Truck

Hey everybody! Happy Fri-YAY! I hope you’ve had an awesome week and you’re able to enjoy some this gorgeous weather! I’m excited to be back to share another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project created with the amazing June 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! This adorable shaped Summer Truck card features papers and stickers from this month’s collection and is so stinkin’ cute, I can’t stand it! This die set is awesome and I couldn’t wait to use it again with the items in this amazing kit!

Using the Keep It Simple Vintage Truck die set, I cut the main pieces for the truck from three coordinating papers in the collection, along with CutCardStock Basis Black, Stardream Metallic Silver and Dolphin Gray for the ancillary pieces. I assembled the truck, popping the tail gate up on a foam strip, and added flower and sentiment stickers from the sticker sheet. The finishing touch was adding tiny iridescent clear gemstones to the center of the flowers and slightly larger red gemstones to the tail lights.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock using a My Favorite Things Stitched Square STAX die. I embellished the panel with a leftover strip of patterned paper from the kit and a sticker from the sticker sheet.

Hello Summer

Hey everybody! Is your weather on this Terrific Thursday as wonderful as ours out here in southwestern Colorado?! OMGoodness, I wish it could stay like this year-round! I’m back this morning with another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project created with the amazing June 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! Square cards are fun and just a tad bit different than the usual A2 or slimline sizes. This 5″ square card features papers and stickers from this month’s collection as well as a few adhesive brads from the upgrades. I used one of my favorite die sets and love how it turned out! Dress me up and you can take me anywhere, lol! ;)

I cut a 5″ square top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from a pretty yellow print in this month’s kit. I grabbed the Keep It Simple Party Dress dies and cut the dress from two more prints in the collection, using the dress as a stand-alone element rather than a card. I embellished the waistline with several adhesive brads from the upgrades and added a sentiment from the ephemera in the upgrades (popped up on a foam strip) along with a tiny sticker from the sticker sheet.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with border stickers from the sticker sheet. I added a sentiment from the ephemera pack in the upgrades and layered the panel on Papertrey Ink Orange Zest cardstock.

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Days!

Howdy peeps! Happy Wednesday – I hope you’re having a great week! I’m delighted to be back to share another ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project created with the amazing June 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! I’m sure you know that shakers are high up on my list of favorite kinds of projects. This one features papers, stickers, and ephemera and chipboard from the upgrades, and is packed with different shaker mixes! I have to ask – is there such a thing as too much shaker mix in a shaker card?! Bahahaha!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I cut a layering panel from a pretty pink striped print in the collection and grabbed a frame from the pack of ephemera in the upgrades for the shaker.

I used Kat Scrappiness Bubble Gum Sprinkles Sequin Mix, Crystal Clear Pinwheel Sequin Mix, and Pearl Glass Dots for the shaker mix, and added a chipboard tree from the upgrades to the front of the shaker element. I fussy cut a sentiment from a piece of ephemera which I embellished with dots from a Kirarina Wink White Pearl marker for a little interest. The finishing touch was adding a few more pieces of the Bubble Gum Sprinkles using my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of patterned paper in the kit. I added a sentiment sticker and layered the panel on the pink striped paper used on the front.

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day – the weeks are FLYING by and here we are headed toward another weekend! But that’s not a bad thing, right?! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share created with the amazing new Vintage Truck dies! I can’t get enough of this die set! I created a shaped card that can be for Father’s Day or a Dad’s birthday – or just because!

I die cut all the pieces from coordinating papers in the Royal 12×12 Collection Pack along with CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice, Pop Tone Red Hot, Stardream Metallic Silver, Dolphin Gray, and Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstsock. Using the Belle Outline Alphabet stamp set, I stamped DAD in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut the letters. I used the Stampin’ Up Itty Bitty Star Punch in my stash to punch a couple stars to go with the DAD letters. I stamped a sentiment from the Congratulations sentiment stamp set in black ink on the license plate which completed the card front.

I die cut the inside panel using a My Favorite Things Stitched Square STAX and stamped a sentiment from the Birthday sentiment stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink. The finishing touch was stamping the small heart from the Get Well sentiment stamp set in Catherine Pooler Suede Shoes ink.

Hello Summer tag album

6/16/23 Top Cut at Cut It Up Challenge Blog!
6/17/23 Top Rocker at 613 Avenue Create!

Hi everyone! Can you believe we’re headed straight into the middle of June already?! The year is almost half over… where are these months going?! I’m delighted to share a ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project with you today created with the amazing June 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! Next to fun folds, you know much I love making mini albums, and this tag album is a super simple project that is both adorable and useful! I used papers and stickers as well as chipboard, ephemera and adhesive brads from the upgrades!

I die cut eight tags from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock using a tag die from the STAMPlorations Stitched Tags Nesting Dies which became the pages of the album. I die cut two additional tags from patterned papers in the collection to cover the front and back of each page.

I embellished the pages with stickers from the sticker sheet as well as chipboard elements, ephemera and adhesive brads from the upgrades. I also used rectangle, square and circle die cuts using My Favorite Things Stitched Square STAX, Stitched Rectangle STAX and Wonky Stitched Circle STAX, and CottageCutz Double-Stitched Rectangles and Double-Stitched Ovals, all cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock. I bound the album pages with a book ring and tied an assortment of ribbon pieces to the ring.

Twin Pocket Card

Hey everybody! Happy Sunday – I hope you’re having a lovely weekend! I have a pretty Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today created with papers, stickers, chipboard and enamel shapes from the amazing Clementine collection! I created a twin pocket card with a couple chipboard tags tucked into the pockets, and love how it turned out. This is one of my absolute favorite bundles because the sky is the limit with the amazing inspirational projects that can be created with it.

I created the card base from a pretty double-sided paper from the Clementine Flipside Pack. I die cut a mini scallop circle from a coordinating paper in the collection, adhered it to a sentiment and added a butterfly (both from the Sticker Sheet) which I popped up on foam tape. I finished the front with a couple Clementine Enamel Shapes.

I added Really Reasonable Ribbon pink satin diamond ribbon with Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine to two tags from the Chipboard Sheet which are tucked into the pockets.

Scrappy hugs,

Have a Magical Day

Hey everybody! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the Best Unicorn Buddies stamp set and coordinating Best Unicorn Buddies die set! I just LOVE these little unicorns and this time I’m showcasing them on a wiper card! Fun folds are my ‘thing’ and wiper cards are on my list of favorites! My inspiration for this fun card came from Julie Davison’s easy tutorial HERE.

I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Doodlebug Design floral-graph and buffalo check-woodgrain rainbow petite prints. I stamped three unicorns, the rainbow, a couple clouds and several hearts from the Best Unicorn Buddies stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Solar White cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating Best Unicorn Buddies dies. I added tiny dots of Nuvo Ivory Seashell Crystal Drops to the flowers on two of the unicorn images. While those were drying, I drew some lines on the hearts with a Sakura white Gelly Roll pen for a little interest.

I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set in black ink and cut it with a My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX die. The fun part was attaching one of the unicorns to a strip of acetate on the wiper mechanism so when the card sides are pulled outward, up pops the unicorn! The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Amethyst Accent Embellishment Mix using my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut the back panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of patterned paper used on the front. I stamped the sentiment from the same Best Unicorn Buddies stamp set in black ink and layered the panel on CutCardStock Grape Jelly cardstock.

6/18/23 Rising Star at A Place To Start!

Hey everybody! Happy Saturday! I hope you’re enjoying a beautiful start to your weekend! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #71! With Father’s Day just around the corner and my quest this year to use barely used or never used stash, I’m sharing a fun card I created with some My Favorite Things dies that I’ve never used. The hubs uses mostly DeWalt tools and they are yellow, so that’s the color I went with, lol! I think this turned out so awesome!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding landscape card base from CutCardStock Kraft Chipboard along with a layering panel from Pop Tone Black Licorice. I also die cut a pegboard panel from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock using the My Favorite Things Pegboard Cover-Up Die-namics. Using the Tool Time Die-namics, I die cut the tools from Basis Gold, Stardream Metallic Silver and Bright Silver Foil. I stamped the sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps I Love You Toolbox and All stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the Kraft Chipboard and Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock used on the front. In keeping with the kraft and black colors, I stamped the inside sentiment (from the same Prickley Pear Stamps stamp set) in Catherine Pooler Sandcastle ink and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

6/11/23 Rising Star at A Place To Start!
6/22/23 Winner at Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog!

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great week! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share featuring Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock (a staple in my studio) that I paired with our Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock! This pretty birthday card was created in black and white with just a pop of red, which is one of my all-time favorite color combos! The best part is the supply list for this clean and simple design is minimal and the card is easy to reproduce!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White along with small layering panels from Solar White and CutCardStock Pop Tone Black Licorice. I created an off-center frame by die cutting a stitched rectangle into the Solar White panel using a My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX die which I retained for later use. I hand cut a rectangle into the Black Licorice panel, adhered the frame panels together, and applied double-sided foam strips to the back.

I applied Doodlebug Design Beetle Black Swiss Dot washi tape to a strip of Solar White cardstock which I layered horizontally beneath the frame. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Layering Leaves stamp set at the top of the card base front in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then stamped the florals (from the same stamp set) on Solar White cardstock in black ink, punched them with the coordinating Stampin’ Up Bough Punch, and adhered them to the stitched rectangle which I adhered inside the frame. I added a small red bow fashioned from Stampin’ Up Real Red ribbon and several Eyelet Outlet small red gemstones, which completed the card front.

For the inside, in keeping with the design on the front, I applied Doodlebug Design Beetle Black Swiss Dot washi tape to another strip of Solar White cardstock which I layered horizontally across the top. The final step was stamping the sentiment (from the same Stampin’ Up Layering Leaves stamp set) in Tuxedo Black ink on the second stitched rectangle die cut.

6/10/23 Top Rocker at 613 Avenue Create!

Hey everybody! A big ol’ Happy Sunday to you! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the super adorable Best Unicorn Buddies stamps and dies! I have made a bunch of different size step cards over the years and I’ve tweaked the measurements to make a slimline size to feature these super cute little unicorns! My go-to slimline card size happens to be 3-3/4″ x 9″ and I’m offering the measurements for my slimline step card (as well as a mini slimline size) as freebies on my blog HERE.

I cut the slimline step card base from CutCardStock Basis 80# White, two embellishing strips from CutCardStock Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock, and layering panels from two coordinating papers in the Keep It Simple Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped the unicorn and rainbow/cloud images from the Best Unicorn Buddies stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basis White, colored them with alcohol markers, and cut them with the coordinating Best Unicorn Buddies dies.

I popped one of the clouds up on a 1/4″ double-sided foam strip, stamped the sentiment in black ink, and added several Buttons Galore & More Pink Grapefruit buttons which completed the card front. This was definitely a fun one!
