Happy Valentine’s Day fun fold

Hey everybody! Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you have a beautiful day of love! I’m thrilled to share another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project created with the new Sent With Love Collection! This collection is nothing short of amazing and so versatile – can definitely be used for occasions other than Valentine’s Day! I created a tiered pinwheel twist card in a pink and red color palette matching this collection perfectly! This is my second one and my inspiration came from Sam Calcott over at Mixed Up Craft. Be sure to check out the additional coordinating stencils, ribbons, and enamel shapes in the Keep It Simple store plus tons of NEW shaker bits! Squeal! If you are inclined to shop, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

I cut the base and tiered sections from CutCardStock Lessebo Cherry Red cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Pop Tone Cotton Candy cardstock and coordinating papers from the Sent with Love 6×9 Collection Pack. This card was particularly fun to assemble and I added a variety of die cuts from the Sent With Love Die Cut Pieces and Words & Phrases Die Cut Pieces along with some enamel shapes. Here are shots of all four sides:

And one final photo of the card folded flat for mailing. So stinkin’ cute!

Hello Friend

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday – I hope your week has started off nicely! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Ally’s Angels and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #75! I created a pinwheel twist card using my Scan N Cut, a cut file and some really pretty patterned paper from Hot Off The Press. I’ve made several 4-sided pinwheel twist cards using a cut file but have also learned to make them by hand-cutting the card base and panels (even a 6-sided one), and either way, they are fun and easy to make!

Using my Scan N Cut and the Haunted House Pinwheel Twist Card cut file (just the base pieces) from My Scrap Chick, I cut the card base and panels from CutCardStock Curious Metallic Violette cardstock and coordinating patterned papers from Hot Off The Press Lilacs In Bloom 6×6 papers. I assembled the card, adding ephemera from the paper pack to three sides and an 80# Solar White panel to the fourth side for a handwritten message and/or signature.

Autumn Charm

Howdy peeps! Happy Friday! Can you believe we only have a couple more days left of this month?! I’m excited to share another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today! This awesome 6-sided pinwheel twist card features papers, die cuts and stamps in the Autumn Charm Collection! I love, love, love all the products in this collection! And you know how I love me some fun folds… I chose this particular one (from a Splitcoast Stampers tutorial HERE) so I could show off a bunch of the papers and die cuts, and I think it worked out pretty well. I’ve only made one of these 6-sided beauties prior to this one and it has not been shared yet. It’s definitely a fun one!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock along with layering panels from papers in the 6×9 Collection Pack. I assembled the card and added die cuts from the Hedgehogs Die Cut Pieces and Foxes Die Cut Pieces to all the larger panels. I stamped a sentiment from the Autumn Sentiment Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a pumpkin on one of the panels, which completed the card. LOVE how this turned out!

Halloween Pinwheel Twist Card

Hi friends! Happy Halloween! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! I got just a tad bit of crafting in today but mostly I have been babysitting two kitties we acquired early last week. One of the cashiers at our local grocery store told Ed that somebody dropped two kittens off on her porch, and her dog and cats didn’t like them. They are about 8-10 weeks old, I’m guessing, and very friendly, so of course Ed said we’d take them. :| Our little feral/semi-feral family in our fenced back yard didn’t care much for them so Ed brought them inside this morning and they’ve been stuck to me like glue all day, lol! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I discovered a little while ago that I have two Halloween cards that I haven’t shared yet, so here’s one of them. This was the very first pinwheel twist card I made last month for my son and his wife. They are so much fun!

I cut the pinwheel twist card base from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock and the panels for each side from Milachi Digitals Halloween papers, all on my Scan N Cut. I cut the haunted house element on my Scan N Cut from CutCardStock Basis White cardstock, CutCardStock Dolphin cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Gold cardstock, CutCardStock Curious Metallic Violette cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Orange and CutCardStock Curious Metallic Night cardstock. I stamped and die cut several other elements to decorate the sides.

And here’s a shot from overhead so you can see the pinwheel construction. Absolutely LOVE how this turned out! And my son and his wife loved it!

Snowy Scenes Fun Fold

Happy Friday, everybody! I hope you’ve had an amazing week! We only had one appointment (for two felines) this week so I’ve gotten quite a bit of crafting in… and that makes me happy! I’m stoked to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring our Royal Sundance cardstock that’s on sale this month, so be sure to stock up! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’ve been on a pinwheel twist card ‘kick’ for the last couple weeks (I have made four, lol) and this is the first one I’ve posted. I absolutely love making these… you know me and fun folds! I used Royal Sundance Felt Natural cardstock, Royal Sundance Linen Midnight Blue cardstock and Winter Wonderland 6×6 Cardstock Pad with just a few other items in my studio, so a very short list of supplies is needed!

This card folds flat to fit in a standard A2 size envelope, however, you could easily alter the dimensions to make it as large or as small as you want. I cut the card base and three extra panels from Royal Sundance Felt Natural cardstock. I cut layering panels from Royal Sundance Linen Midnight Blue cardstock. I picked the four scenes I wanted to use from the Winter Wonderland 6×6 Cardstock Pad and cut panels from each. The scenic panels were adhered to the blue layering panels and then adhered to the Natural felt panels.

I added a sentiment to each panel using the STAMPplorations Merry Everything Clear Stickers.

Here’s a shot from above so you can see the construction. It really is pretty simple and straight-forward. Be sure to check out my tutorial on the CutCardStock blog!
