Earrings Galore!

Hey everybody – a very Happy Monday to you all! I made my daughter-in-law a bunch of dangle earrings back in February and wanted to share them. I made some of them from craft leather and some from cardstock, and some were cut with my Cricut and some were cut with dies. They all turned out pretty cool and she said she loved them! Oh, and I cut all the earring cards with my Cricut also, using a free earring card SVG cut file on Cricut Design Space and CutCardStock Twine cardstock. I tweaked the length and wideth to make the cards different sizes.

These four pairs were made from Taylored Expressions craft leather, CutCardStock Bright Gold Foil and Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock, and several Designer Dangles die sets. The fringe earrings were embellished with Kat Scrappiness Silver Pearl Mix. TE no longer carries the craft leather or the Designer Dangle die sets; I’ve had mine for several years and I’m so glad I got them when I did!

These two pairs were cut with my Cricut Explore Air 2 from Taylored Expressions craft leather using the FREE Printable Cuttable Creatables Classic Earrings SVG cut file. A two-fer… the first pair features the outsides and the second pair features the insides! I almost threw the inside pieces away when I took them off my cutting mat and thought ‘No way – I’m gonna make another pair out of these!’

These two pairs were cut from cardstock using two sets of Taylored Expressions Designer Dangles. The blue ones were cut from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Vista and Stardream Metallic Sapphire cardstock, embellished with gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Sparkling Sapphire Embellishment Mix. The green ones were cut from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Fairway and Curious Metallic Aloe cardstock, embellished with Eyelet Outlet 3mm and 5mm green pearls. Gemstones and pearls were applied with my Trinity Stamps Pick Up Stick.

These four pairs were cut with my Cricut Explore Air 2 from cardstock using the FREE Printable Cuttable Creatables July 4th Earrings and Scroll Earrings SVG cut files. The three Americana pairs were cut from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Jupiter, Stardream Metallic Pluto and Stardream Metallic Sapphire cardstock. The scroll earrings were cut from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Vista cardstock and embellished with Eyelet Outlet 4mm blue pearls (applied with my Trinity Stamps Pick Up Stick).

Happy Easter Handbag

Howdy peeps! I hope you’re having a great week! I have an amazing ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project to share with you this morning created with the awesome April 2024 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades. You know how I love me some paper purses, and I just couldn’t resist making one with these gorgeous double-sided papers! I dug into my SVG cut file arsenal and once again used Luxury Handbags from SVG Cuts. There are several purses in this file and I chose the boho style handbag this time. I aim to make all of them at some point! ;)

Using my Cricut Exlore Air 2 and the SVG Cuts Luxury Handbags cut file, I cut the purse, pocket, strap, and little tag embellishments for the boho syle handbag from a pretty floral and gingham double-sided paper in the kit. I used some ancient flock-covered brads in my stash (pretty sure I’ve had them since 2006, lol) to secure each side of the strap. I made a tassel with my We R Memory Keepers The Works All In One Tool and some white yarn in my stash which I attached to the strap with the tags utilizing a small ball chain.

I added a Pink Paislee 5th & Monaco Flower Embellishment (left over from last month’s kit) to the front pocket and a sentiment sticker which I layered onto paper in the kit, trimmed, and adhered over the pocket. I included an angled back shot of the handbag. So stinkin’ cute!

Happy Birthday Cake Treat Box

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had an awesome week and now it’s time for some fun this weekend, hopefully! I’m thrilled to share that I was a Top Cut recently over at Cut It Up Challenge Blog and was invited to guest in an upcoming challenge, so here I am just in time for Challenge #300 – Happy Birthday! A birthday cake treat box couldn’t be more appropriate to create to help them celebrate their birthday! I used an SVG cut file in my arsenal along with cardstock, pearls and lace from my stash. I dyed the white lace with antique linen distress ink and used the draw feature on my cutting machine for the tag. Saying I had ‘fun’ with this project would be an understatement… it was a blast and I love how it turned out!

Using the Dreaming Tree Petite Cake SVG cut file with my Cricut Explore Air 2, I cut the cake pieces with CutCardStock Lessebo Ivory, the icing pieces with CutCardStock Pop Tone Cotton Candy, the chocolate curls with CutCardStock Pop Tone Hot Fudge, and the cherry with Stampin’ Up Red Glimmer paper and CutCardStock Lessebo Hunter Green cardstock. I used the draw function and a Cricut 1.0 Gold Metallic Marker on my cutting machine for the tag which I cut with a My Favorite Things Essential Fish Tail Sentiment Strip.

The assembly is always the most fun. I embellished the top of the cake with Eyelet Outlet ivory pearls along with 3 Girl JAM lace which I dyed with Ranger antique linen distress ink and misted water in my Tim Holtz distress sprayer. I attached the tag with a Gina K Designs Shaker Strip to give it the same height as the pearls.

Here’s a shot with the lid removed. It’s actually a good-sized little box – big enough to hold a small gift or some candy. Totally fun! ;)

Making Spirits Bright inchie album

Hey everybody! Happy first day of March… time is flying by and I’m telling ya – it’ll be Christmas before we know it! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #55 – Anything Christmas Goes! I mentioned a while back that I’ve started a new collection of inchie albums (or mini books) and have made several. They are so fun and so stinkin’ cute! I have used Gecko Galz inchies for all of them because they are super cute images and the perfect 1″ square size!

I printed the Gecko Galz Snow Much Fun Jewel It digital sheet on CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and punched the eight images I wanted to use with an EK Success 1″ square punch. I crafted the album base from CutCardStock Basis 80# White 12×12 cardstock and covered it with a patterned paper from the Hot Off The Press Christmas Memories 6×6 double-sided papers. These HOTP paper packs always include several sheets of ephemera which coordinate beautifully with the papers, which I love. So I cut a piece of ephemera for the front cover and added a green gemstone. I edged the cover and pages with a copper chrome marker from Let’s Resin which completed the project.

The Mini Jungle Book

Hey everybody, Happy Hump Day! I’ve popped in this morning to share a super cute jungle-themed mini book! I mentioned a while back that I have started making these little books with inchies for a new inchie album collection. They are so stinkin’ cute and fun to make, and this one fits perfectly into Challenge #216 – Safari over at Cardz 4 Galz! The inchies are from the Gecko Galz Safari Jewel It digital sheet.

I crafted the mini book base from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and covered it with a print from the American Crafts Animal Print 6×6 paper pad. I printed the Gecko Galz Safari Jewel It digital sheet on Basis White cardstock and punched the eight images I wanted to use with an EK Success 1″ square punch. The book name was computer-generated, trimmed and edged with a Tombow marker.

Warm Winter Wishes Ornament

Pajama Crafter Stamps is the new home of the Prickley Pear Stamps brand and the Pajama Crafter Stamps line! Joy and Shawn became the new owners of Prickley Pear Stamps a few months ago and have started the new Pajama Crafter Stamps line which fully debuts today! I’ve been on the Prickley Pear Stamps DT for almost four years and was invited to stay on as a Pajama Crafter Stamps team member, so here I am! ;)

Please join Pajama Crafter Stamps as we celebrate all things new… NEW YEAR, NEW BRAND, NEW TEAM and NEW RELEASE… in our “Everything’s New” Insta-Hop! Our design team has created some gorgeous projects with the new release products and the hop starts today on the Pajama Crafter Stamps Instagram page where you’ll find the complete hop list. By following and leaving comments or likes at all the stops on the hop, you’ll be in the running for a $25 gift card from Pajama Crafter Stamps! A random winner will be chosen from all comments and likes left by 11:59 PM EST on January 15th and announced on the Pajama Crafter Stamps Instagram and Facebook pages on January 17th.

I created an ornament featuring the adorable Sliding By stamp set from the Pajama Crafter Stamps new release! How stinkin’ cute is this penguin?! And I love using non-traditional colors for Winter-themed projects!

I’ve had the Splitcoast Stampers tutorial for the diamond shaped ornament (HERE) in my arsenal for quite some time and have never made one, so I decided it was time! I stamped the penguin on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut it with a Keep It Simple Stitched Circles Nested Die. Similarly, I stamped the sentiment on a Solar White scrap and trimmed it into a flag. I used Keep It Simple double-sided pink paper for the ornament and Rose ribbon for the bow, along with Really Reasonable Ribbon silver metallic cord for the hanger. I embellished the ornament with individual sequin bits pulled from the Buttons Galore & More Blizzard Sequin Mix.

I Ruff You Post-It Note Easel

Hi friends! Happy New Year! I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing day! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #165 – Anything Goes! I created a pup-themed post-it note easel using items in the Keep It Simple Max and Daisy Collection. This project is both adorable AND practical! I love it when that happens! The Max and Daisy Collection is on clearance and has been deeply discounted. If you are inclined to go shopping, be sure to use my discount code LoveToScrap2 at checkout to save 10% on your entire order! There is no minimum purchase requirement and no usage limits, plus the code combines with product, order, and shipping discounts!

I cut the easel base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from a striped print in the Keep It Simple Max and Daisy Flip Sides Pack. I added Eyelet Outlet grass washi tape to the bottom of the easel panel. I stamped the pup, house and hydrant from the Puppy Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Solar White cardstock. I colored the pup and house with alcohol markers, and then fussy cut all three images. I stamped the sentiment on a coordinating print in the Flip Sides Pack, cut it with a Keep It Simple Stitched Circles Nested Die, and added a paw print enamel sticker.

Here’s a shot of the easel folded flat for mailing.

Sending Well Wishes

Hey everybody! Happy Friday! I shaking my head at how fast this year has flown by… so hard to believe we’re in the first week of October already! I’m delighted to share that I’m guest designing once again for Cut It Up Challenges, and the theme for Challenge #288 is Favorite Color(s)! Green has always been my favorite color (although I have several others that rank right up there with it) so I went with several shades of green and several different patterned papers for this diorama get well card.

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock along with layering panels from several green papers in the Keep It Simple Jade 12×12 Collection Pack. Using the Keep It Simple Stitched Squares Nested Dies, I cut a square into the inside flap and retained it for use on the front.

Using the Stampin’ Up A Fish & A Wish stamp set, Catherine Pooler Deck the Halls, Sage, Spruce, and Eucalyptus inks, and the coordinating Fish Builder Punch, I created two fish for the front and two for the inside. I adhered two of the fish on the die cut square, popping one up on a foam strip, and stamped a sentiment (from the same stamp set) in the bottom center of the square. The finishing touch was adding several light green gemstones.

I cut the background seascape panel from a scrap in the Hot Off The Press Seascapes & Sand 6×6 double-sided paper pack and added the other two fish (one popped up on a foam strip) and several more light green gemstones. Using the Keep It Simple Stitched Rectangles Nested Dies, I cut a rectangle from a lighter green paper in the Keep It Simple Jade Collection Pack and adhered it beneath the aperture. I stamped another sentiment from the Stampin’ Up A Fish & A Wish stamp set, leaving room for a signature.

Caturday ATC Mini Album

Hey everybody, Happy Thursday! I’ve popped in this morning to share a Syncopation Design DT inspiration project! I created a fun ATC mini album using pocket cards, papers and elements in the new Caturday digiscrap collection which I absolutely love! You know how I love me some mini albums, and as soon as I saw this collection, I knew I had to create something to document all those fun cat antics! This was definitely a fun project! However, I do need to disclose a profanity alert on two of the album pages just in case any parents might be thinking about sharing this post with youngsters. Typically I keep my posts family-friendly and the profanity is very minor in my opinion, but I still feel the need to disclose.

I cut ten ATC size (2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″) pages for the album from Neenah Classic Crest 165# Solar White cardstock and rounded the corners. I trimmed ten pocket cards and ten digital papers (five patterned and five plain printed on HP 32# copy paper) from the collection to just slightly under ATC size, rounded the corners, and adhered them randomly to both sides of each page.

I added elements from the collection to embellish most of the pages but did use a few items from my stash. I punched a hole in the top left corner of the stack of pages using my Crop-A-Dile Big Bite and bound the album with a ball chain and clasp from my stash. I wrapped an assortment of ribbon pieces around the chain clasp and tied them together with white twine.

Beach Memory Album

Hey everybody! Happy Friday – I hope you have a fun weekend planned! Our very first challenge is live this morning over at Mini Album Mania and I’m super excited to share my debut DT inspiration project for MAM #1 – Any Type of Mini Album Goes! We have room for a few more design team members, so if you’re interested, let me know! I created a purse-shaped Beach Memory Album for our first challenge with lots of room for photos and journaling!

Here’s a quick run-down of how our new challenge works: We host challenges every other (odd) month and each challenge lasts six weeks. We welcome all types of handmade mini albums. The size should be no more than 6″ on any side, the album must have at least three pages, and it must be embellished and decorated. Photos are optional. Mini albums can have any kind of binding such as rings, wire, ribbon, staples, glued tabs, etc. Or they can be an accordion or flap type with no binding. Just remember they must have at least three pages, and we don’t want to see any blank undecorated albums.

Using the Concord & 9th Everyday Purse Builder dies, I created the album base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock. I cut the album pages from 110# Solar White cardstock as well and rounded the two outside corners of each page. I used papers from the Carta Bella Beach Party Collection Kit to cover the base. I used coordinating papers and stickers from the collection kit as well as Eyelet Outlet Sunglasses, Flip Flops, Beach Umbrella, and Sun/Cloud Brads to embellish the pages.

There are several pull-ups and pull-outs, as well as die cut panels made with My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop STAX, Stitched Rectangle STAX and Stitched Square STAX and CottageCutz Double-Stitched Ovals. I used CutCardStock Bright Silver Foil cardstock for the rings on the base of the straps. I used a Velcro fastener on the flap closure and embellished it with a Darice iridescent gemstone. I made a charm and tassel which I attached with a tiny ball chain and clasp from my stash.
