Congrats Fun Fold

Hey everybody! Well, another weekend is behind us and we’re that much closer to Christmas! I hope you had a pleasant weekend with some nice temps! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share with you today featuring our Basis White cardstock which is another staple in my studio. It makes awesome card bases and is great for stamping and coloring. Alcohol markers blend really nicely on this cardstock without leaving any lines. Interestingly, this congrats card has no stamping or coloring; it’s made entirely with die cuts, and really IS a fun fold! ;)

Using the Creative Craft Products Double Gatefold die set, I die cut the card base from Basis 80# White cardstock, and all the layer pieces from Darice Ooh La La Prints cardstock. I assembled the panels, and as I always say, the assembly is the most fun!

I die cut the sentiment twice from Pop Tone Black Licorice and Flamingo cardstock using the STAMPlorations Congrats word die, adhered them together in a slightly offset fashion and then to the card base. I added some Eyelet Outlet 5mm clear gemstones that I colored with an alcohol marker, which completed the card.

And one more look… this is admittedly one of my favorite die sets, and I love the black and white with pop of the Flamingo pinkish-orange! The Basis White cardstock is a must-have, for sure!

Leaping Lizards Birthday

10/15/22 Top 3 at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog!

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day and happy early birthday to me! Tomorrow is my birthday and then Friday I have a consultation with a hand surgeon to talk about possible carpal tunnel release. Yay me. On a lighter note, I mentioned several days ago that I was invited to guest design for InkyStamper for the month of October, and I’m thrilled to share another guest design project using the super adorable Iguana stamps and die! The look on this guy’s face is hysterical as are all the different sentiments – I love this set! I created a half flap card with a birthday theme in my favorite shades of green which is only fitting for a lizard! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock and trimmed away the top half of the flap with my Fiskars 12″ SureCut Paper Trimmer. I cut three panels of varying shades of green from the Doodlebug Design Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints cardstock pad for the top half of the card and a panel from CutCardStock Pop Tone Limeade cardstock for the bottom flap. I hand-cut a tree limb from CutCardStock Vanilla Bean cardstock and adhered it to the bottom flap.

I stamped the iguana in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110# Solar White cardstock and colored him with alcohol markers. I cut him with the coordinating die and then adhered him to the tree limb. I stamped the sentiment on Solar White cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the top portion of the card on an adhesive foam strip. The finishing touch was adding a few green sequins I picked out of the Picket Fence Studios Rainbow Sequins.

The inside is very simple with another sentiment from the Iguana stamp set stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.

Happy Fall Y’all Door Card

Hey everybody! Well, another weekend has passed by us and I hope your week is off to a nice start! Fall is my favorite season and I have a CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share with you today featuring some of our Pop Tone and Stardream Metallic cardstock in pretty Fall colors that I paired with Baronial Ivory cardstock. We’ve sure had a warm summer this year and I guess I’m really pushing for Fall, lol! I used the Sizzix Door Fold-A-Long Thinlits with Pop Tone Hot Fudge, Tangy Orange and Jellybean Green cardstock; Stardream Metallic Antique Gold cardstock, and Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock. This card is super easy, and the fun part is that it can be tailored to any season with the wreath, so I chose orange for Fall! I can see some of these made in red for Christmas, too! ;)

I cut the door card base from Pop Tone Hot Fudge, the bow and wreath from Pop Tone Tangy Orange and Pop Tone Jellybean Green; the handle, lock and hardware from Stardream Metallic Antique Gold; and the rest of the elements from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory. I love projects like this, and the fun part is always the assembly. It’s important to note that I didn’t lose any of those tiny pieces, lol! ;)

I stamped the sentiment in Catherine Pooler Mandarin Spice ink on the sentiment panel, and then added Eyelet Outlet 4mm orange gemstones to the wreath which completed the card.

Scrappy hugs,

You Did It!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a fabulous week and you’re looking forward to doing something fun this weekend! I’m stoked to be back this morning to share my final ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project created with the amazing September 2022 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! Now the hard part will be waiting for the October kit to arrive, lol! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the bold colors and fun sentiments on the papers and tag elements and the upgrades in this month’s kit. You know how I love fun folds so I thought it would be fun to use layered tags on a split panel card.

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from heavyweight cardstock and created the split panel feature, leaving 1-1/2” sections at the top and bottom which I covered with a patterned paper from the kit. I trimmed two tags from the kit, added ribbon from the upgrades, and layered them on heavyweight cardstock. I adhered them to the card front connecting the two panels and added two star stickers from the sticker sheet.

I cut the inside panel from a patterned paper in the kit and adhered a strip of white cardstock across the bottom for a signature panel. I added an additional tag element and sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet which completed the card.

9/14/22 Top 3 at FarmQuest Challenge Blog!

Hey everybody! Happy Saturday to you all – I hope you have something fun planned this weekend! We are waking up to cooler temps here in southwestern Colorado and it’s wonderful! I’m absolutely delighted to share my debut Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today featuring stamps and dies from the new Little Cowgirl Birthday release! OMGoodness, can you say adorable?! I used the Little Cowgirl Birthday Collection Stamp & Die Bundle and Little Cowgirl Birthday Sentiments, as well as the Back to Basics Rose Collection Pack and Back to Basics Rose Enamel Hearts already in the store for this split panel birthday card!

I used Basis 110# White cardstock for the A2 size card base and adhered panels cut from the Back to Basics Rose Collection Pack. I stamped the image from the Little Cowgirl Birthday stamps in black ink, stamped it again in Versamark, and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I colored the image with alcohol markers and die cut it with a die from the coordinating Little Cowgirl Birthday outline dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Little Cowgirl Sentiments stamps in black ink in the upper right corner, then adhered the image to the card front. I added tiny iridescent gemstones (from my stash) to her dress and two Back To Basics Rose Enamel Hearts which completed the card front.

For the inside, I adhered a panel cut from the Back to Basics Rose Collection Pack. I added two smaller panels and a strip cut from Basis White cardstock, then stamped the sentiment (from the same Little Cowgirl Sentiments stamps) in black ink.

And one more look… I really love how this card turned out! The products in this new release are amazing and so fun to work with! You can’t go wrong with a cowgirl-themed birthday card! ;)

Christmas Truck Box Card

9/30/22 Top 3 Creation at Scrapping4fun Challenges

Hi everybody! I hope you’re having a great week and not working too hard! We are loving life out here in our happy place with gorgeous scenery and weather! Our new challenge launched this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #46 – Anything Christmas Goes! I am a certified Scan N Cut fiend and can’t seem to get enough of my machine, lol! I have made SO many fun 3-D projects this year and this box card created with the Simply Crafty SVGs Christmas Presents Truck Card cut file is one of them. How stinkin’ cute is this?!

I cut all the pieces from American Crafts Crimson cardstock, Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock; CutCardStock Gold Glitter, Silver Glitter, Basis Brown, Basis Dark Red, Basis Black, Stardream Metallic Silver, and Royal Sundance Linen Emerald cardstock; POW Cricket Glitter cardstock, Basic Holiday 6×6 Cardstock Pad, and Christmas Holiday Print 6×6 Cardstock Pad. I stamped sentiments in black ink on the tailgate panel and back sentiment panel using the STAMPlorations Warm Hands Warm Hearts stamp set. I ran the side and tailgate panels through the Big Shot with a Sizzix Texture Fades Snowflake Pattern Embossing Folder for some fun texture. Then the major fun began… the assembly! I always love assembling 3-D projects and watching them come to life!

Here are angled and back shots.

And one more look… folded flat and ready to mail! This was a blast and could be taylored for any occasion by tweaking the elements a little bit (for example, omitting the tree and using birthday or anniversary papers for the presents)! So fun!

Happy Easter Twister

7/21/22 Lucky Random Winner at Art Impressions Blog!
8/28/22 Spotlight Favorite at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge!

Hello my friends! Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! I’ve popped in with my second post of the morning with a super adorable pastel plaid Easter card created with the amazing Art Impressions Easter Twist Set stamps and dies that I want to enter into their Perfect Plaid Challenge #331 that’s going on right now! If you haven’t had a chance to check out the Twisters, you really need to… they are so stinkin’ fun I can’t even stand it! This is the second one I’ve made – the first one was a birthday card and the post is HERE if you’re interested in looking. I LOVE an interactive card and the recipients typically do, too! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with a pastel plaid layering panel from The Paper Studio Four Seasons and Everything In Between -2- paper pad (one of my favorites) and adhered it to the card base. Using the Art Impressions Twist Frame Dies, I cut the aperture into the front flap as well as a frame for the aperture from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Flame cardstock and adhered it to the opening.

Using the Art Impressions Easter Twist Set stamps, I stamped the front and back images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with alcohol markers, cut them with the coordinating Art Impressions Easter Twist Set die and adhered them together. I die cut two pieces of ric rac and a stitched mini scallop circle from Solar White cardstock using the My Favorite Things Stitched Ric Rac and Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment in black ink on a scrap piece of Flame cardstock, punched it with a 1″ circle punch and adhered it to the die cut scallop circle. I adhered the ric rac and the sentiment piece which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from a coordinating piece of patterned paper from the same seasonal paper pad and adhered it to the inside of the card base. I cut a rectangular piece of Solar White cardstock for a signature panel and adhered it to the bottom.

And one more peek… here’s the back side of the twist element – you have to admit there’s nothing cuter than a bunny butt! ;)

7/15/22 Top 5 at QKR Stampede!

Hey everybody, Happy Friday! Hope you had a terrific week! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #45 – Anything Christmas Goes! You know how I love me some fun folds… so I created this pretty open box card for our challenge this time using the Concord & 9th Stacks Base dies along with the Concord & 9th Home for the Holidays stamps and dies! This scene is so much fun to create – this isn’t the first time I’ve used these stamps and dies, and it surely won’t be the last!

I die cut the base from CutCardStock Basis Blue and Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, added tiny white dots using a Posca White paint pen, and assembled the base. I cut the remaining elements from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and CutCardStock Dolphin, Bonsai, Basis Red, Curious Metallic Night, Royal Sundance Linen Emerald, Royal Sundance Linen Burgundy, Curious Metallic Aloe, Stardream Metallic Aquamarine, Curious Metallic Pink Quartz, Basis Teal, Basis Aqua, and Shadow Gray cardstock, and then assembled the houses. I added a few tiny iridescent gemstones to the background and then created the scene. The final touch was stamping the sentiment in Catherine Pooler Suede Shoes ink on the white banner, layering it on the blue banner, and adhering it to the front of the card.

Here’s an angled shot.

And one more peek… love the fact that box cards fold flat for mailing! I really love how this one turned out!

Happy Fall Box Card

Hi friends! Can you believe it’s the middle of the year already?! The months are just flying by! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #156 – Anything Goes! Box cards are at the top of my all-time favorites and this truck box card with all the pumpkins and leaves was super fun to create… I could smell Fall while I was making this one! This Fall Truck Box Card is yet another awesome cut file from Simply Crafty SVGs! I was on a truck ‘roll’ there for a bit and I believe I’ve created nearly all the truck box cards Sandy has designed!

I cut the truck body and panels from CutCardStock Basis Dark Orange, the tires from Basis Black, the back lights from Basis Red, the sentiment from Basis Brown, and the bumper and mirrors from Stardream Metallic Silver cardstock. I cut the pumpkins and leaves from Basis Green, Basis Dark Red, Basis Gold, Basis Orange, Pop-Tone Orange Fizz and Pop-Tone Tangy Orange. I added some texture by using the Sizzix Texture Fades Harlequin embossing folder on the side and back panels, and the Darice Chevron embossing folder on the tires.

I cut the back panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and stamped the Inspired By Stamping sentiment (sadly out of business) in Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink.

Another angled shot and one folded flat for mailing… so loving how this turned out! I’m definitely in my element when assembling these projects – not a care in the world and no clue what’s going on around me, lol! ;)
