Take Time To Coast

Howdy peeps! Dang, the time just seems to be going by at wicked fast speeds… we’re on the downslide to the end of October already! I’m stoked to be back with another guest design project for InkyStamper using the Pelican stamps and die! This inspirational side fold card (one of my favorites that is super easy) created with the pelican seemed like the perfect kind of card to create in varying tones of brown, and I love how it turned out!

I cut a side fold card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Doodlebug Design Floral-Graph and Dot-Stripe Rainbow Petite Prints. I cut notches into the side panel and tied some Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine around it into a bow. I stamped the Pelican in Memento Rich Cocoa ink on 110# Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut it with the coordinating die. I also stamped the stump with rope in Rich Cocoa ink on Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and fussy cut it. I adhered the pelican and stump to the card front and then stamped the birds.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock, trimmed it, and adhered it toward the top of the card front. The finishing touch was adding several neutral colored sequins that I picked out of the Picket Fence Studios Spiked Cider Sequins.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock, embellished it with the Doodlebug Design Floral-Graph print used on the front, and stamped the sentiment in Rich Cocoa ink.

10/24/22 Top Pick at Make My Monday Challenge Blog

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day! Brrr, it’s a bit chilly here this morning but that’s how we like it! I’ve popped in this morning to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I created the most adorable rocket wiper card for our youngest grandboy who turned two a few weeks ago, and his mom said he loved it! This is my first wiper card and I used an SVG file from My Scrap Chick. And all panels were adhered with Tape Runner!

I cut all the pieces from CutCardStock Basis Gray cardstock, Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, and Doodlebug Design Dot-Stripe, Buffalo Check-Wood Grain and Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints. These prints from Doodlebug Design are some of my all-time favorites, and I wanted bright patterns for this card, so they definitely fit the bill! I used the Print and Cut function on my Scan N Cut for the sentiment, and I added several clear gemstones from an Eyelet Outlet 3mm clear Jewel Bling Strip. Here’s a shot of the wiper which appears when the sides are pulled out. So cute!

I used a sentiment from the Keep It Simple Birthday Sentiment Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Hey everybody! Can you believe we’re in the middle of October already?! Christmas will be here before we know it! I’m stoked to be back with another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share! Lumberjack is their newest release and OMGoodness, you are in for a real treat! Cute, cute products that are must-haves for your crafty stash, lol! I created a double easel fold using Collection Pack 12×12 Cardstock and Collection Pack 6×6 Cardstock, Cards & Ephemera Die Cut Pieces, Die Cut Pieces, Camping Stamps and Camping Outline Dies. I also used Back To Basics Jade Collection Pack 12×12 Cardstock and Jade Collection Pack 6×6 Cardstock which are already in the store.

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, and created the double easel fold element from a green pattern in the Back To Basics Jade Collection Pack 12×12 Cardstock. I cut layering panels from a print in the Lumberjack Collection Pack 12×12 Cardstock.

I added items from the Lumberjack Cards & Ephemera Die Cut Pieces and Lumberjack Die Cut Pieces to both background sections. I stamped, colored and die cut the wooden sign using the Lumberjack Camping Stamp & Die Bundle, and the sentiment is from the same stamp set. The photo-bombing lumberjack just cracks me up, by the way! Bahahaha!

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a print from the Lumberjack Collection Pack 6×6 Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Northern Pine ink and layered the panel on a dark green print from the Back To Basics Jade Collection Pack 6×6 Cardstock.

Snowman with Carolers

10/22/22 Top Rocker at 613 Avenue Create!

Hi everybody! It’s officially the middle of October and I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today as a guest designer with a fun inspiration project using some of the new brads in the store! This snowman box card features the new Caroler Brads and Snow Tree Brads along with the Christmas Holly Washi Tape (for the sentiment) that’s already in the store.

I cut the base from Neenah Classic Linen Solar White cardstock, and the rest of the pieces from CutCardStock Silk Glitter Black Prince, Pop Tone Wild Cherry, Pop Tone Hot Fudge, Pop Tone Black Licorice, Pop Tone Lemon Drop and Basis Orange cardstock.

I assembled the box card and added three Caroler Brads and three Snow Tree Brads. I applied a strip of the Christmas Holly Washi Tape to a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock, punched the ‘Merry & Bright’ to use as the sentiment, and layered it on a slightly larger circle punched from Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock.

Here’s one more angled shot so you can see the construction. And the best part is that it folds flat for mailing! ;)

Fly on the Wall

Hey everybody! Another Wednesday has rolled around which means we’re getting that much closer to Christmas, my favorite season and my favorite time of year! I’m stoked to share another InkyStamper guest design project with you today! Using the most adorable Housefly stamps and die, I created a front step card in a friendship theme in shades of pink with a pop of lime green, and I love how it turned out!

I cut the card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from prints in the Doodlebug Design Buffalo Check-Wood Grain, Floral-Graph and Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints cardstock pads. I stamped the housefly in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110# Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut it with the coordinating die.

I stamped the graphic on the front panel and a sentiment on the back panel, and then adhered the housefly. The finishing touch was adding some pink sequins from the Picket Fence Studios Rainbow Sequins toward the top and an Eyelet Outlet lime green 3mm Pearl Bling Strip across the bottom.

I cut the back panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of Doodlebug Design Buffalo Check cardstock used on the front. I stamped another sentiment and the graphic in Tuxedo Black ink and layered the panel on Doodlebug Design Wood Grain cardstock.

And one more angled shot so you can see the construction of this fun fold which is definitely one of my favorites! And this Housefly stamp set and die are so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it!

Scrappy hugs,

Congrats Fun Fold

Hey everybody! Well, another weekend is behind us and we’re that much closer to Christmas! I hope you had a pleasant weekend with some nice temps! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share with you today featuring our Basis White cardstock which is another staple in my studio. It makes awesome card bases and is great for stamping and coloring. Alcohol markers blend really nicely on this cardstock without leaving any lines. Interestingly, this congrats card has no stamping or coloring; it’s made entirely with die cuts, and really IS a fun fold! ;)

Using the Creative Craft Products Double Gatefold die set, I die cut the card base from Basis 80# White cardstock, and all the layer pieces from Darice Ooh La La Prints cardstock. I assembled the panels, and as I always say, the assembly is the most fun!

I die cut the sentiment twice from Pop Tone Black Licorice and Flamingo cardstock using the STAMPlorations Congrats word die, adhered them together in a slightly offset fashion and then to the card base. I added some Eyelet Outlet 5mm clear gemstones that I colored with an alcohol marker, which completed the card.

And one more look… this is admittedly one of my favorite die sets, and I love the black and white with pop of the Flamingo pinkish-orange! The Basis White cardstock is a must-have, for sure!

Leaping Lizards Birthday

10/15/22 Top 3 at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog!

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day and happy early birthday to me! Tomorrow is my birthday and then Friday I have a consultation with a hand surgeon to talk about possible carpal tunnel release. Yay me. On a lighter note, I mentioned several days ago that I was invited to guest design for InkyStamper for the month of October, and I’m thrilled to share another guest design project using the super adorable Iguana stamps and die! The look on this guy’s face is hysterical as are all the different sentiments – I love this set! I created a half flap card with a birthday theme in my favorite shades of green which is only fitting for a lizard! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock and trimmed away the top half of the flap with my Fiskars 12″ SureCut Paper Trimmer. I cut three panels of varying shades of green from the Doodlebug Design Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints cardstock pad for the top half of the card and a panel from CutCardStock Pop Tone Limeade cardstock for the bottom flap. I hand-cut a tree limb from CutCardStock Vanilla Bean cardstock and adhered it to the bottom flap.

I stamped the iguana in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110# Solar White cardstock and colored him with alcohol markers. I cut him with the coordinating die and then adhered him to the tree limb. I stamped the sentiment on Solar White cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the top portion of the card on an adhesive foam strip. The finishing touch was adding a few green sequins I picked out of the Picket Fence Studios Rainbow Sequins.

The inside is very simple with another sentiment from the Iguana stamp set stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.

Happy Fall Y’all Door Card

Hey everybody! Well, another weekend has passed by us and I hope your week is off to a nice start! Fall is my favorite season and I have a CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share with you today featuring some of our Pop Tone and Stardream Metallic cardstock in pretty Fall colors that I paired with Baronial Ivory cardstock. We’ve sure had a warm summer this year and I guess I’m really pushing for Fall, lol! I used the Sizzix Door Fold-A-Long Thinlits with Pop Tone Hot Fudge, Tangy Orange and Jellybean Green cardstock; Stardream Metallic Antique Gold cardstock, and Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock. This card is super easy, and the fun part is that it can be tailored to any season with the wreath, so I chose orange for Fall! I can see some of these made in red for Christmas, too! ;)

I cut the door card base from Pop Tone Hot Fudge, the bow and wreath from Pop Tone Tangy Orange and Pop Tone Jellybean Green; the handle, lock and hardware from Stardream Metallic Antique Gold; and the rest of the elements from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory. I love projects like this, and the fun part is always the assembly. It’s important to note that I didn’t lose any of those tiny pieces, lol! ;)

I stamped the sentiment in Catherine Pooler Mandarin Spice ink on the sentiment panel, and then added Eyelet Outlet 4mm orange gemstones to the wreath which completed the card.

Scrappy hugs,

You Did It!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a fabulous week and you’re looking forward to doing something fun this weekend! I’m stoked to be back this morning to share my final ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project created with the amazing September 2022 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! Now the hard part will be waiting for the October kit to arrive, lol! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the bold colors and fun sentiments on the papers and tag elements and the upgrades in this month’s kit. You know how I love fun folds so I thought it would be fun to use layered tags on a split panel card.

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from heavyweight cardstock and created the split panel feature, leaving 1-1/2” sections at the top and bottom which I covered with a patterned paper from the kit. I trimmed two tags from the kit, added ribbon from the upgrades, and layered them on heavyweight cardstock. I adhered them to the card front connecting the two panels and added two star stickers from the sticker sheet.

I cut the inside panel from a patterned paper in the kit and adhered a strip of white cardstock across the bottom for a signature panel. I added an additional tag element and sentiment sticker from the sticker sheet which completed the card.
