Amour Wedding Album

3/29/20 Winner at Creatalicious Challenges!

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a great weekend! It’s February 1st already and I consider this the month of love! I’m sure my parents are celebrating their 72nd wedding anniversary in Heaven! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #130 – Red and/or Pink Equals Love! I zeroed in on the red and created a wedding album for a very special couple in a red, black and white color combo which is one of my favorites.

Leslie

I created the album base and pull-outs from Cardstock Warehouse pure white cardstock. There are five pages and each page alternates a side and top pull-outs. The album is bound with white wire using my Zutter Bind It All.

2019_1128017a

The wire binding and each pull-out are embellished with lengths of ribbon tied with bamboo cord, all from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Those who know me know that I have a weird sense of humor. I used the awesome Funny Kinda Love stamp set from STAMPlorations and chuckled as I was stamping most of the elements! I will say, though, that not all of them depict humor… there are few serious ones, lol! ;)

I used quite a few die sets for the stamped elements, along with lots of heart stickers. The backs of the first four pull-outs spell L-O-V-E.

The pretty filigree die cuts are from the Crafter’s Companion Opulent Swirls die set. I embellished several of the photos with these.

The bride and groom paid tribute to her late best friend so I embellished this photo with a set of angel wings. It’s been quite a while since I scrapped any photos for an album and I have to say it was great fun printing all these photos and deciding which ones to put where. Super happy with how this turned out!

Christmas Memories mini album

Hello, crafty peeps! I hope you’re having a good day! I’m excited to share my Ephemoire inspiration project with you this morning. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to head over to the Ephemoire Etsy Shop to check out all the amazing digital printables… there are collage sheets, digital papers, journal kits, clip art and mixed media printables, and the print quality is awesome!

I was provided some pretty awesome vintage Christmas holiday background papers to play with this month and used all 20 letter-sized digital papers in Peppermint Stick #1, Peppermint Stick #2, Peppermint Stick #3 and Peppermint Stick #4 to create a sweet little mini album! OMG, talk about some prissy fun – and in one of my favorite color combos of pink and green! Swoon! ;)

2019_1019031a

I printed all 20 papers on 60# copy paper, trimmed them and then paired what I wanted to use for backgrounds and for pockets on each page. I cut the scalloped album pages with my Scan N Cut and then bound them with my Zutter Bind It All. I picked out a variety of pink and green ribbons and cut several lengths from each to attach to the binding (and tags later on).

2019_1019017a

I created a shaker element for the front with glitter inside. I typed the sentiment on the computer and cut it along with the acetate and frame with stitched circle dies, then attached a small bow.

2019_1019029a

I created my own stitched square cut file that I used to cut the background layers with my Scan N Cut, and then cut three different pocket designs with my Scan N Cut. I embellished each pocket with Washi Tape.

Finally, I cut simple tags from textured double-sided cardstock and added punched scallop detail at the bottom of each one. I adhered a plain square panel for journaling and/or photos, and attached some ribbon with my Tiny Attacher before tucking them into the pockets.

Home Sweet Home Mini Album

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday – I hope the week has started off on a great note for you! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #30 – Anything Goes + Open Technique! All of our challenges are ‘anything goes’ and we offer a technique twist each month to inspire you and it’s not required to play. This month the twist is an open technique and all we ask is that you mention in your blog post which technique you chose to use on your project. I chose the 3-D technique to create my project for this challenge, in the form of the most adorable mini album shaped like a little house! I used The Paper Studio Mirabelle cardstock on all the panels and roof, using a different pattern on each, and I embellished the front with a sheer ribbon bow. Here are shots of all the angles going around the outside of the house.

My inspiration for this adorable mini album came from a Splitcoast Stampers newsletter a few months back that you can find HERE. I immediately fell in love and couldn’t wait for the prime opportunity to make one, putting my own spin on the design! I created the ‘Home Sweet Home’ sentiment on the computer which I cut with a stitched circle die and layered on a slightly larger stitched circle die cut. I embellished this sentiment with flowers and a stamped butterfly that I colored with Prismacolor pencils. I stamped the home definition on the other side of the roof in dark brown ink.

I used magnets to close in the house shape, and when opened, reveals panels on the inside to display photos and/or journaling. OMG, cuteness overload!

Happy to enter this sweet mini album into the following challenges:

Violets & Bees Mini Album

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you’re having a good day! I’ve popped in this morning to share my Ephemoire inspiration project with you. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to head over to the Ephemoire Etsy Shop to check out all the amazing digital printables… there are collage sheets, digital papers, journal kits, clip art and mixed media printables, and the print quality is awesome!

I was provided Violets & Bees #1 Scrapbook Papers Letter Size, Violets & Bees #2 Scrapbook Papers Letter Size, Violets & Bees Printed Washi Tape, Violets & Bees Ephemera Collage Sheet and Violets & Bees Mini Card and Envelope Set to play with this month, and created a mini album. Violets & Bees is a FABulous collection and needless to say, I’ve had a blast!

2019_06120013a

Green and purple is one of my all-time favorite color combos. I printed the papers and mini cards and envelopes, and trimmed them all. I printed the washi tape and ephemera sheets twice, and fussy cut all the elements. I created the album base from white cardstock, punched three holes on each page, and also created the reinforcements for the holes using two circle punches. I adhered a different paper to each page of the album, created assorted pockets, and positioned all the elements where I wanted them, one page at a time, and when I was happy with the placement, I adhered everything down.

There are 12 pages and each page contains one or two tags tucked into a pocket, ready for journaling or photos. All the tags have ribbon pulls, and I added skinny Washi tape and dot sparklers to each page. Really loving how this turned out!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: American Crafts White cardstock, Ephemoire Violets & Bees #1 Scrapbook Papers Letter Size, Violets & Bees #2 Scrapbook Papers Letter Size
Dies/Punches: Stampin’ Up 1/4″ circle punch, Stampin’ Up 1/2″ circle punch, Stampin’ Up Scalloped Tag Topper punch, Stampin’ Up Scallop Edge punch

If you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out all the amazing digital printables in the Ephemoire Etsy Shop – there are collage sheets, digital papers, journal kits, clip art and mixed media printables. And the print quality is awesome!

I’m super stoked to share my first inspiration project! I was provided the Vintage Distressed Pansy Accordion Album Kit to play with this month and created a gorgeous Pansy accordion album. OMG, this kit is amazing!

2019_0428005a

I cut the papers and elements from the kit and inked them all. I created the accordion album base from ivory cardstock and inked the edges. I layered the papers for each page on kraft paper, and positioned the elements where I wanted them, one page at a time, and when I was happy with the placement, I adhered everything down.

There are 12 pages and each page contains at least one tag in a pocket, ready for journaling or photos. All the tags have ribbon pulls, and I added Washi tape and bling to each page. Really loving how this turned out!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up Very Vanilla thick cardstock, Marco’s Brown Bag cover paper; Ephemoire Vintage Distressed Pansy Accordion Album Kit
Ink: Ranger Walnut Stain distress ink, Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen
