Lilac Flowers 4-Panel Fold

Hi friends! Happy Friday… is your week flying by as quickly as mine is?! Dang! ;) Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m back on this fine chilly morning to share a card I created last summer for Prickley Pear Stamps. This fun fold is called a 4-panel fold and features our Sketched Florals Lilac stamp set along with sentiments from our Flowers For Beautiful You stamp set and some paper-piecing! ;) Despite it’s complex look, though, it was really quite simple.

I cut the card base pieces from CutCardStock Basis Dark Purple cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Amethyst cardstock, CutCardStock Pop-Tone Grapesicle cardstock, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, and plaid patterned paper from the Recollections Bold Basics paper pad. I also die cut two rectangles using a Cottage Cutz Double-Stitched Rectangle die on which I stamped sentiments. I stamped the lilacs image on the three white cardstock panels and on one of the die cut rectangles. I stamped it several more times on scrap pieces of Solar White cardstock which I colored with alcohol markers, a Heather Spectrum Aqua marker, and a Faber Castell May Green Pitt Artist Pen. I fussy cut the images and paper-pieced them onto the three white cardstock panels and the one die cut rectangle. I layered all the panels together and adhered them to the card base. I then added Nuvo English Mustard Crystal Drops to the centers of all the lilac flowers and added a few gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Amethyst Accent Embellishment Mix to the backgrounds.

Here are a couple additional shots.

And one more look… such a fun fold created with beautiful stamps! I’ve had this handwritten tutorial in my arsenal for many years and it’s hard to believe I hadn’t made one before last summer!

Hi everyone! Well y’all, we’ve rounded the corner to another Thursday so that means we’re on the down-slide to Friday! Hope your weather is warming up just a little bit and you have something fun planned this weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in today to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I created a cool birthday card featuring a STAMPlorations Wish Big A2 Card Front that was included a Paper Goods sampler tucked into one of my orders a while back, and of course, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. I also used CUTplorations Circles All Over Texture Cover Plate and Skinny Sentiments (some of my all-time favorites) on this card front. I donated this card to the Bearly Arts Cards for Cubs project. :)

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the front sentiment and the narrow strip inside. I cut a standard A2 size card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock. I trimmed the STAMPlorations Wish Big A2 Card Front and ran it through the Big Shot with the CUTplorations Circles All Over Texture Cover Plate to give it a little interest. I layered it on the black cardstock panel and adhered it to the card base. Using the CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments, I die cut the sentiment from the black cardstock and adhered it to the bottom right, completing the card front. No bling or anything else… very unusual for me, lol! ;)

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip trimmed from the Wish Big Card Front and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock. I left the inside panel blank with plenty of room to write a custom message, and layered the panel on black cardstock.

And one more peek… love how this simple card took shape! The secure assembly of all the layers with Tape Runner speaks volumes!

Happy Spring Note Card

Hey everybody! Hope you’re having a great week – we are rockin’ and rollin’ here, and Ed is getting better every day! He’ll get his stitches taken out on Thursday morning and hopefully we’ll get good news of clear margins on the melanoma excision, and that’ll be the end of that! ;) Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in this morning to share the final sample I created in conjunction with the Prickley Pear Stamps new release of the Easter Cross stamp set. This pretty Spring note card is a super simple design and features stamps from the previously-released Crosses 2 stamp set.

I cut a mini slimline card base from CutCardStock Royal Sundance Felt 110# Natural cardstock and angled all four corners. I cut half layering panels from two coordinating prints from the My Mind’s Eye Howdy Doody 6×6 designer paper pad which I adhered together, and then added a strip of Eyelet Outlet Gold Script Washi Tape at the seam and adhered the panel to the card base. I cut a scrap piece of the felt cardstock into a tag, punched the top with a tag topper punch and angled the bottom corners. I stamped a vertical sentiment and a bird image on the tag with stamps from the Crosses 2 stamp set, added an Eyelet Outlet 12mm Red Pearl Brad and a brown twine bow, and adhered the tag to the card front. The finishing touch was adding several tiny clear gemstones that I colored with a brown alcohol marker.

For the inside, I cut embellishing strips from the My Mind’s Eye Howdy Doody patterned papers used on the front, which completed the card.

And one more look… such a pretty design with a tag, which I love!

Scrappy hugs,

thank you my friend

Hey everybody! A very Happy Tuesday to you all! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped back in this morning with my second post of the day – a pretty thank you card I created for The Outlawz March Freebie/Progressive Challenge. Our sponsor this month is Moonflower Digistamps who gifted us with the gorgeous Lust digital image to create with. It seems 3-D embossing folders are the rage right now and I recently added three of them to my stash, so I used one of the geometric ones for the background on this card. All I can say is WOW, it’s definitely 3-D and now I can’t wait to use the other two I got! ;)

I printed the digital image on CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock, colored her with alcohol markers, fussy cut her and ran a Memento Tuxedo Black marker around the outside edge for a more finished look. I added Clear Star shimmer and Ranger Glossy Accents to the jewel on the front of her dress, and colored the strands of pearls with a White pen. I then cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock which I adhered to the card base. I printed the digital image a second time on CutCardStock Basis Medium Blue, cut it with a My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics and then ran it through the Big Shot in a We R Memory Keepers Geometric Embossing Folder. I adhered the panel to the card front and then adhered the fussy-cut image over the printed image on the embossed background on dimensional foam pads. I stamped the sentiment from the Waffle Flower Sentiment Additions stamp set on a scrap piece of 80# Basis White cardstock in Catherine Pooler Stone Blue ink and cut it with the coordinating Waffle Flower Sentiment Additions die set, and adhered it to the top of the front panel. The finishing touch was the addition of several small white pearls across the bottom.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and embellished it with strips of CutCardStock Basis Medium Blue and CutCardStock Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock. I stamped another sentiment from the Waffle Flower Sentiment Additions stamp set on a scrap piece of 80# Basis White cardstock in Catherine Pooler Stone Blue ink. I cut it with the coordinating Waffle Flower Sentiment Additions die set, adhered it to the panel, and then layered the panel on black cardstock.

And one more peek… such a pretty thank you card with an absolutely gorgeous image! And that embossed background! ;)

3/25/22 Winner at Paperbabe Stamps!

Hey everybody! Hope you had an awesome weekend and your week is off to a great start! We still had white stuff on the ground from our last several-day snow blast, and we got more this past weekend! But absolutely no complaints here – we love it! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m back this morning to share another sample I created for the Prickley Pear Stamps new release. I’m having the best time playing with these stamp sets! This pretty clean and simple Easter card showcases the new Easter Cross stamp set along with the previously-released Crosses 2 stamp set and the Cross die set, all of which compliment each other rather nicely! I always love a green and pink color combo so that’s the direction I went with this!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and narrow layering panels from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and green striped patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Sweet Celebration 6×6 paper pack which I layered together. I rounded both bottom corners of the card base. I stamped the cross from the Crosses 2 stamp set in Catherine Pooler Party Dress ink on heavyweight Solar White cardstock, cut it with the coordinating Cross die set, and layered it on two additional cross die cuts for a little dimension. I adhered the cross to the card front, stamped the sentiment from the Easter Cross stamp set in Catherine Pooler Lime Rickey ink, and added several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Morganite Muse Embellishment Mix using the Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut narrow inside panels from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and the green striped patterned paper used on the front which I layered together. I stamped the sentiment from the Crosses 2 stamp set in the green ink and adhered the piece to the inside of the card base.

And one more peek… so smitten with this Easter card! I just can’t get enough of these cross-themed stamp sets! Love, love, love!

Sending Snowflake Kisses

3/31/22 Top Pick at Crafting Happiness Challenges!

Hi friends! Happy Happy Monday! I had another post scheduled for this morning and rescheduled it so I could share another card with an alcohol pearls on acetate background! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! OMGoodness, I’m obsessed with alcohol pearls! I’ve asked before if there’s a 12-step program for my Scan N Cut, and now I ask if there’s one for alcohol pearls! Bahahahaha! They are addictive, for sure! And like regular alcohol inks, no two ever turn out the same – and these have such a gorgeous metallic sheen to them!

I started by creating a background panel on acetate. I dropped Ranger Divine and Opulent Alcohol Pearls onto the acetate and pounced a Ranger Alcohol Ink Applicator Tool with Felt to distribute the alcohol pearls, then trimmed the panel. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with a border using the Paper Rose Snowflake Border Die. This die, too, was actually created to cut directly into the card base (just like the Paper Rose Gum Leaf Border Die I used last week) so I tweaked it a bit and created a separate panel that I adhered my alcohol pearl background beneath, then to metallic silver foil, and then to the front of the card base on double-sided adhesive foam strips. Using my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System, Spellbinders Glimmer Silver Foil, and Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Plate and Die Set, I created a sentiment strip on CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock which I trimmed and adhered across the bottom of the card front on a double-sided adhesive foam strip. I added medium sized iridescent gemstones to the center of three of the snowflakes on the left side as well as three tiny ones on the right side.

Here’s a close-up of the panel which, when layered on silver metallic foil cardstock, really shows the sheen. I so love this!

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and embellished it with a wide strip of the silver metallic foil cardstock and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Basis Blue cardstock. I added another foiled sentiment and layered the panel on the blue cardstock.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! And yes, you all know that I’m one of those who creates Christmas cards all year long! I couldn’t wait to share this one! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

You are my Hoppy place

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! We traveled this past Friday for Ed to have a melanoma removed from his left forehead. The surgeon had to take a skin graft from his right neck, and he is doing well, but the hardest part is keeping him still! We’ve had a bit more snow over the past couple days too, so that makes for nice cozy days indoors. ;) Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve stopped in this morning to share yet another sample I created for the Prickley Pear Stamps new release. This sweet card features Ramona from the new Frog Pals Spinach and Ramona stamp set along with the coordinating Frog dies! OMGoodness, these frogs are so stinkin’ cute, I can’t stand it! I’ve really enjoyed creating little scenes with this stamp set.

I cut a standard A2 size landscape top-folding card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock and CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Azalea. Using the Frog Pals Spinach and Ramona stamp set, I stamped the background in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink on the white cardstock panel, colored it with alcohol markers, and adhered it to the azalea panel. I stamped Ramona on a scrap piece of white cardstock and colored her with alcohol markers as well, cut her with the coordinating Frog dies, and adhered her to the card front on dimensional foam pads. I stamped the sentiment on another scrap piece of white cardstock and cut it at an angle with a My Favorite Things Stitched Square STAX Die-namics die for a little interest.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis 80# White cardstock, stamped the sentiment and a lily pad in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink, and layered the panel on CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Azalea.

And one more look… isn’t she just the cutest little frog ever?! I’ve totally enjoyed playing with these stamps and dies!

Scrappy hugs,

Celebrate Metal Style!

Hi friends! Happy Sunday – I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend and you’re doing something fun! It’s so serene glancing up and seeing it snow out my studio window while I craft! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve been having a blast playing with my alcohol pearls and created another really pretty background that I used for this ‘metal’ birthday card. The current challenge over at Shopping Our Stash is SOS465 Full METAL Jacket and I created this background specifically to enter into that challenge! I typically create my alcohol ink backgrounds on vellum but I used acetate for this one and it turned out just as cool as those on vellum! I see lots more of these backgrounds in my future! ;)

I dropped Ranger Elixir, Divine, Opulent, Intense, Scorch, Radiant Alcohol Pearls onto a piece of Grafix Craft Plastic, pounced a Ranger Alcohol Ink Applicator Tool with Felt to distribute the alcohol pearls, and then pressed Spellbinders Glimmer Gold Foil onto it when it was almost dry for some pretty gold veining. I cut a standard A2 size landscape top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Pearl Canvas Textured Surf cardstock and Hygloss Gold Metallic Foil cardstock which I layered together and then adhered to the card base. I trimmed the inked panel and adhered it to the card front, then added a sentiment that I die cut from the gold metallic foil cardstock. The finishing touch was adding three gold rim pearls.

Here’s a close-up so you can see how pretty this ‘metal’ surface is, especially with the gold foil veining!

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the gold metallic foil cardstock and CutCardStock Pearl Canvas Textured Surf cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments stamp set in Catherine Pooler Skylight ink and layered the panel on gold metallic foil and then again on the surf cardstock.

And one more peek… this is pretty high up there on my list of favorite cards that I’ve ever created in all the years I’ve been making cards! Love, love, love!

Scrappy hugs,

Howdy! Hey! Hi! Hello!

Hey everybody! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a cool friendship card featuring our Cactus & Flamingo Wide Washi Tape, Flamingo Brads and Pink Jewel Bling! This was such an easy and fun design that could easily be mass-produced to create several to give as a boxed gift!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Basis Magenta cardstock. I applied the Cactus & Flamingo Wide Washi Tape and several Flamingo Brads to the bottom of the magenta panel, rounded the top left and bottom right corners, and adhered the panel to the card base. I added a narrow strip of Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White cardstock along with a sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips in Reverse – Everyday Occasions. The finishing touch was adding some Pink Jewel Bling.

The inside of this card is slightly different – with a pink panel rather than white – which I thought created some interest. So I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis Magenta cardstock, rounded the top left and bottom right corners, and added a Flamingo Brad and another sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips in Reverse – Everyday Occasions.

And one more look… such a fun card with awesome washi tape, brads and bling! Love how this turned out!

Of course I said yes… you know how I feel about fun folds, lol! This card is my GD inspiration for Creative Creases #27 – Anything Goes with a Fun Fold and features more stamps and dies from Concord & 9th. I absolutely love their Card Stacks Base Dies which create a card base very similar to my open box card design. The Tiny Trees stamps and dies were just begging me to use them, so I stamped the trees in mainly non-traditional Christmas colors and used glitter with clear embossing powder, red embossing powder, enamel dots and tiny gemstones for lots of interest!

Using the Concord & 9th Card Stacks Base Dies, I die cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and stamped the background and sentiment from the Concord & 9th Tiny Trees Turnabout stamp set in Catherine Poole Tranquil and Do-Si-Do inks. I stamped the trees, pots and stars on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock using a combination of Versamark, then glitter and then clear embossing powder, or Catherine Pooler Do-Si-Do, Serenade, Lime Rickey and Tranquil inks, then Versamark and then clear embossing powder. I die cut them all with the coordinating Concord & 9th Tiny Trees dies, adhered the stars and pots to the trees, and added the enamel dots and gemstones.

Here’s an angled shot. The most fun to me is assembling these kinds of cards and watching them come to life. I know, I say that all the time! :D

And one more peek… this card folds flat for mailing which I love. These tiny trees are so stinkin’ cute!
