HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!

Hi friends! I hope your week has started off with a bang! I mean that figuratively, not literally, lol! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! A new ‘Inspiration Photo’ challenge has started today over at The Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge and our sponsor is Fabrika Fantasy, so be sure to come on over and play! You know how I love fun folds, so I created a hybrid split panel fold using Fabrika Fantasy’s Happy Raccoon digital image from my stash (which is currently included in their Digi Club). I’ve created several of these split panel folds over the past year and they are so much fun!

This is the inspiration photo we were given and I zeroed in on the gray, green, pink, yellow, blue and purple:

I printed the precolored image on 60# Hammermill copy paper and cut it with a pinking edge die. I cut a narrow frame from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Grape Jelly cardstock using slightly smaller stitched square dies and adhered the frame to the image, and then adhered the image to another white pinking edge die cut for stability. I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, covered the flaps with purple gingham paper and adhered the image panel. I stamped the sentiment in purple ink, trimmed it and adhered it to the top flap. I added white flat-back pearls to the image and several purple bling and flat-back pearls across the bottom flap.

I adhered a panel of CutCardStock Pop-Tone Grape Jelly cardstock to the inside of the card base along with a narrower panel of Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock embellished with a wide strip of purple gingham and a narrow purple cardstock strip, and then stamped the sentiment in purple ink.

And one more look… this little raccoon guy couldn’t be any cuter! Love how this turned out!

3/31/21 Honorable Mention at A Perfect Time To Craft Open Challenge Blog!

Howdy peeps! I hope you have an awesome week coming up! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’m guesting for 613 Avenue Create this month! I was dubbed a Master Rocker at the end of 2020 for receiving the Top Rocker award fairly frequently throughout the year, and was invited to guest design so I chose the month of March! Our challenge this month is Anything Goes with an optional twist of a Slider! What fun – it’s been AGES since I created a slider card and I’m SO in! ;)

This was such an easy card to create. I created the card base and front panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I embellished the front panel with wide washi tape for the water and the sky, and a hand-cut ‘horizon’ in the distance and torn kraft cardstock for the sand (both created from scraps out of the scrap bin). The palm tree, seagulls, sun and starfish are all brads. The shark and shark fin were stamped on a white cardstock scrap, colored and cut with coordinating dies. Once I had the background built, I stamped the sentiment in the lower left corner (repeated it three times), cut a horizontal slot with a punch and attached the shark so he slides back and forth, and popped the panel up on a piece of craft foam before attaching the panel to the card base.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips cut from kraft and blue cardstock scraps, stamped the sentiment and shark fin in black ink, and layered the panel on kraft cardstock.

And one more look… totally loving how this turned out! Sliders are so fun – and I’m thrilled that I was able to use up a few cardstock scraps from the bin that never seems to get any smaller, lol!

stay classy

Hi friends! How’s the weather where you are? It’s still pretty chilly here in southwestern Colorado but we’re definitely not sad about it – we moved out here from Florida almost four years ago to retire in cooler climate! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! This is the last card in my series of clean and simple cards paying tribute to our frontline healthcare workers. This one is lighthearted with computer-generated front and inside sentiments and an added stamped sentiment on the front to tie in the glitz and glam from the washi tape and fancy long bling!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from black cardstock. The front and inside sentiments are computer-generated and printed on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock. I trimmed the panels and stamped the ‘stay classy’ sentiment at an angle just above the front sentiment. I added a strip of Gold Glitter Skinny Washi Tape and Pink Fancy Long Bling-Pearls & Jewels vertically down the left side, added two Toilet Paper Brads just to the left of the sentiment, and adhered the panel to the card base.

I embellished the inside panel with a single strip of the Gold Glitter Skinny Washi Tape and adhered the panel to the card base.

Here’s one more look… I’m absolutely loving how this turned out! Lighthearted pun is fun! ;)

3/7/21 Rising Star at A Place To Start!
3/31/21 Special Mention Winner at Classic Design Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! I’m thrilled to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring beautiful Curious Metallic cardstock from my stash that happens to be on sale this month so be sure to get some! There are so many gorgeous colors! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I love shakers and I don’t make nearly enough of them so I created one for today’s project which is the first post of the new CutCardStock DT term. They are so much fun and every recipient I’ve ever given one to absolutely loved it!

I cut the card base from Royal Sundance Felt Natural 110# cardstock which makes an awesome sturdy card base. The front panel is cut from Royal Sundance Linen Ivory 80# cardstock. The front of the card features the Tonic Studios Small Cocktail Glass cut from Curious Metallic Chestnut 111# cardstock and the interior of the glass cut from Curious Metallic Pink Quartz 111# cardstock as well as a vertical strip adhered down the left side of the background panel. The shaker filler consists mainly of pink sequins which I thought resembled wine – I’m not a wine drinker so this is a total guess on my part! Bahahaha! There is a small pinch of white seed beads in there as well. The cocktail glass dies came in a bundle with several shaker elements so it was super easy to assemble. I also cut the sentiment from Curious Metallic Chestnut 111# cardstock and adhered it vertically down the left side on the pink quartz strip. I adhered three pink sequin ‘bubbles’ above the glass on the left side. The finishing touch was the addition of three ivory enamel dots on the pink quartz strip.

I cut the inside panel from Classic Crest Baronial Ivory 80# cardstock and embellished it with thin strips of the Curious Metallic Pink Quartz 111# cardstock, Curious Metallic Chestnut 111# cardstock and Royal Sundance Linen Ivory 80# cardstock, stamped the sentiment in pink ink and adhered the panel to the brown cardstock layer.

And one more peek… totally loving how this turned out! I can definitely see a few more of these in my future, lol!

I really appreciate your support! It’s time for a new challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #56 – March Anything Goes! I probably hold the record for the most Mother’s Day cards showcased on a blog, lol! I’ve been commissioned to make quite a few, so I figure why not share them?!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock cardstock. I printed the gorgeous Botanical Orchids pre-colored digital image from Jan’s Digi Stamps on linen cardstock and cut it with a stitched circle die. I picked out some pretty cardstock with coordinating patterned paper to create the background panel and cut it with stitched rectangle die.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of the patterned paper used on the front and cut it with a rectangle die. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and then layered the panel on a stitched rectangle die cut.

And one more look… totally loving how this turned out! See what I mean… I have to share these, lol!

Many Thanks note card

3/15/21 Winner at QKR Stampede!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday to you! It’s the 1st, and you know what that means… lots of DT inspiration to feast your eyes upon! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog is live this morning and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #47 – Inlaid Die Cut! Remember that all our challenges are Anything Goes with an optional technique twist each month to inspire you, and this month the twist is an inlaid die cut. I have to admit that this is one of my many favorite techniques, and I was SO in ‘Fall mode’ when I created this note card! Both stamp sets and the die set are from Prickley Pear Stamps!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and a narrow front panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I die cut two maple leaves into the white front panel, layered it onto a slightly wider brown panel, and adhered the piece to the card base offsetting it to the left. I adhered small pieces of brown and orange foiled paper to a scrap of white cardstock, die cut a maple leaf from each color, and affixed them into the negative spaces on the front panel. I stamped the sentiment in the bottom right corner and added a few small red flat-back pearls.

I kept the inside clean as well, just adding a strip of leftover brown cardstock down the left side and a stamped maple leaf in the bottom left corner. As it is a note card, I left the inside blank with plenty of room to write a custom message.

And one more look… totally loving how this turned out! Just gorgeous!

3/9/21 DT Favorite at Sweet Stampers Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! It’s time for a new challenge over at Merry Little Challenge blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #32 – March Anything Christmas Goes! I created an adorable clean and simple Christmas card featuring a Lawn Fawn stamp set with coordinating die, along with a sentiment stamp from The Project Bin used on the inside.

I think this is one of the easiest cards I’ve ever created, lol! It worked up so fast – I stamped the penguin, colored him with alcohol markers and die cut him with the coordinating die, then adhered him to the front of the Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock card base. I stamped the sentiment in black ink, then stamped the snowflakes and his jump pattern in light aqua ink. The final touch was the addition of a tiny iridescent gemstone in the center of each snowflake.

I kept the inside CAS as well, with a single strip of light aqua cardstock down the left side and a sentiment stamped in black ink.

And one more look… totally happy with this CAS design!

SHORE do miss you

3/8/21 Honorable Mention at Pammie’s Inky Pinkies Challenges!

Hi everyone! I’m sure after months of chilly weather, everyone is wishing for some beach time! Our new challenge has launched over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #143 – Anything Goes! I had a LOT of fun creating this card with washi tape and brads paired with some super fun stamps! I work ahead and created this back when our cold weather out here in Colorado was just beginning and I knew that by the time this challenge launched, everyone would be ready for some warmth! ;)

I cut a standard A2 top folding card base from Solar White cardstock. I created an angled background panel from a couple digital papers that I printed on 60# Hammermill copy paper, added some narrow washi tape to the seam, layered the panel on orange cardstock, and then adhered it to the card base. Then the fun began working on the beach panel. I created the water and the sky, and added a sun brad. I hand-cut an island in the background to hide the seams and added a palm tree brad. I stamped the snorkeling kid named Curly on a scrap of Solar White cardstock, colored him with alcohol markers and fussy cut him out, then ran a black marker around the edges for a more finished look. I sat him aside and created the beach with a piece of torn kraft cardstock, added a shell brad and shove and bucket, then adhered Curly. I layered the panel on orange cardstock, stamped the sentiment in black StazOn ink and adhered the panel to the background. The finishing touch was adding Glossy Accents to his goggles after the inside was complete.

I embellished the inside panel with a leftover strip of the digital patterned paper used on the front and an orange cardstock strip, stamped the sentiment in black ink, and layered the panel on orange cardstock.

And one more peek… I’m absolutely smitten with this design! It was a little work but definitely worth it! I’ll be CASEing this design but with a different stamp!

Just Breathe…

Happy Saturday, peeps! I hope you had a spectacular week – they sure are going by fast, aren’t they?! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created another CAS card to add to my series of clean and simple cards paying tribute to our frontline healthcare workers. This card features a single quarantine-inspired brad (from a series of brads that are new in the store) along with some washi tape and my favorite enamel dots!

Another super simple design that would be easy to mass produce. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from dark teal cardstock, and rounded the top right and bottom left corners. I printed computer-generated sentiments on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, trimmed the panels and rounded the corners. I applied two strips of Sky Washi Tape horizontally across the lower portion of the front panel and then added a strip of Silver Dots Skinny Washi Tape across the seam of the two Sky strips. I added a Mask Brad just to the left of the sentiment and three White Enamel Dots, then adhered the panel to a teal cardstock layer.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the Sky Washi Tape and Silver Dots Skinny Washi Tape, and adhered it on a teal cardstock layer.

And one more peek… so loving how this simple design turned out. It doesn’t take much to portray a heartfelt sentiment!

we remember moments

Hi friends! Wow, February has literally flown by! We still have a little snow on the ground where we are in southwestern Colorado but we sure don’t mind – we love it! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! This is my last post for Just Us Girls Challenge and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time guest designing this month! I’m stoked to share my project for Photo Week #573! Loving the northern lights background – and I found a super easy way to create it! I originally planned to use distress ink to create the background but decided to use alcohol ink instead. The colors aren’t quite as vibrant but the black cityscape die cut sure pops!

And here is our photo prompt:

I created a standard A2 size landscape top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with a silver foil layering panel and a Yupo paper panel for the background. I dropped eggplant, cranberry, sailboat blue, aqua and lettuce alcohol inks onto the Yupo paper and then squirted alcohol blending solution across the top of the panel and let the blended inks run downward onto a paper towel. While the panel dried, I cut one black and one yellow cityscape. I adhered the black cityscape die cut to the bottom of the panel and then adhered the panel to the silver foil cardstock layer. I adhered all the windows from the yellow die cut into the negative spaces on the black die cut and stamped the sentiment in black StazOn ink. Once the StazOn was dry, I adhered the panel to the card base and added three tiny iridescent gemstones.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and adhered light blue cardstock strips (cut from scraps) and a black cardstock strip down the left side. I stamped the sentiment and layered the panel on silver foil cardstock.

And one more look… such a fun design that was so easy to create!

2. Inkspirational Challenge: #233 – Tower
