Happy Mother’s Day window card

Howdy peeps, I hope you’re having a great week! They sure are going by at a rapid rate these days. Our new challenge is live this morning over at Creative Creases and I’m delighted to share this Mother’s Day window card with you for Challenge #103. I used quite a few Lawn Fawn products (papers, dies and stamps) along with a boatload of Lessebo cardstock from CutCardStock. I totally love how this turned out!

I pulled out the Lawn Fawn Center Picture Window Card Dies, Shadow Box Card Dies, Shadow Box Ocean Add-On Dies, and Shadow Box Park Add-On Dies, and commenced to cutting all the pieces from CutCardStock Lessebo cardstock and the Lawn Fawn Spring Fling paper pack. I always say the most fun is assembling these kinds of projects, and this was definitely no exception. I had a ball! I used the Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy stamp set for the front sentiment which I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I added a panel to the back cut from Lessebo White cardstock and stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set, which completed the card. I’ve also included an overhead shot of the card so you can see how stinkin’ cute it is! ;)

Hey everybody, happy weekend! I hope you’re having a good one! We’ve been super busy with our move from Colorado to Iowa but once we’re settled in our new house, it’ll be business as usual, lol! I have THE cutest Keep It Simple DT inspiration project to share today… a camera shaped card featuring our new KIS Cuts Camera dies that launched just two days ago. This card has no stamping, and as much as I LOVE to stamp, it’s always fun to watch a card with no stamping come together! I love how this turned out and believe it would surely make the recipient smile!

Using the dies in the KIS Cuts Camera dies, I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with all the camera pieces from assorted prints in the new Back To Basics Black & White 6×9 Collection Pack and the Ruby 12×12 Collection Pack. I also pulled out the Back To Basics Polaroids & Words Die Set and cut the sentiments from papers in the Ruby collection. The finishing touch was adding several Back To Basics Black Enamel Dots.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White and embellished it with the red paper die cuts. So stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it! You HAVE to check out these dies!

Wanderlust

Hey everybody, happy Friday! You’ve undoubtedly read in my previous posts that Ed and I are moving from Colorado to Iowa, so we’ve been super busy. Thank goodness for the ability to schedule posts ahead of time or I’d be SOL! I’m thrilled to share a Brutus Monroe DT inspiration project today featuring the amazing Road Trip stamp set along with our Pink Lemonade cardstock and Spring Splatter papers. Any kind of RV/camper stamp sets have a special place in my heart because we were full-time RVers for several years. We’ve met a lot of awesome people and had some really good times… great memories for sure! I saw this pop up block card year before last on Lisa Curcio’s blog and it’s one of my all-time favorite fun folds to make.

I cut the card base and blocks from our Pink Lemonade cardstock along with layering panels from our Spring Splatter 6×6 Paper Pack. I stamped the camper from the Road Trip stamp set in Raven ink on Solar White cardstock. I colored it with an assortment of markers, fussy cut it and then stamped a sentiment on it in Catherine Pooler Samba ink. I added a tiny bow fashioned from Keep It Simple Back To Basics Black & White Ribbon along with several of our Light Pink Flat Back Crystals.

I added a Solar White panel to the back which I embellished with a leftover strip of the Spring Splatter paper. I stamped another sentiment from the Road Trip stamp set in Raven ink, which completed the card. I included a shot of the card folded flat for mailing. Love it!

Together We Have It All

Hey everybody, happy Wednesday! The weeks sure seem to be rolling around pretty quickly these days. I’m up on the Love From Lizi blog today with a tutorial for making a masculine ‘love you just because’ card with a slanted flap. I sure do love me some fun folds and next in line come the fancy cuts which really make a statement! I used paper, stamps, ephemera, pin stripe peel-offs and sequins – all from our ‘For Him’ May release – and I love how it turned out. This release is packed full of wonderful products to get your masculine project mojo going! I used CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock for the card base and cut off the front flap at an angle, saving the piece that was cut off. Next, I cut the front layering panel from Basis 80# Natural cardstock, angled the bottom edge, and did a little mixed media work on it. I used Memento Rich Cocoa and Espresso Truffle dye inks, Ranger Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Spritz (sprayed and splattered) along with hand stamping using stamps from the Summer Botany Stamp Set. I used Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Ink around the edges which I had also distressed with the Tim Holtz Distress Tool.

I lightly distressed the inside of the card base also (using the same products sans the stamping) and inked the outside edges with Walnut Stain distress ink. I adhered the leftover piece cut off the front flap along with a patterned paper layer cut from a striped paper in the A Spot of Autumn 6×6 Paper Pack. I adhered a couple pieces of Vintage Escapes Ephemera, then added a couple Brown Mirror Pinstripe Peel-Off Stickers and several sequins from the For Him Sequin Mix to the card front. I stamped a sentiment from the same Summer Botany Stamp Set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and tore it on all four sides. I lightly inked the edges and popped it up on thin 3D foam squares.

I embellished the inside with a 1/2″ x 4-1/8″ strip of the patterned paper which I distressed with the Walnut Stain distress ink, and then stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set in Rich Cocoa ink. For more details, be sure to visit the Love From Lizi blog to see my tutorial. ;)

Life is Good

Hey y’all, happy Tuesday! It is indeed a very happy Tuesday for Ed and I… we’ve been keeping a secret and we can now let the cat out of the bag, lol! We closed on a house in Iowa yesterday. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the last eight years we’ve been in Colorado, but as old folks on social security, we need to be in a more affordable location to spend our remaining years. Plus we’ll be closer to family, so it’s a win-win! Now, let me share this fun center flap card I created for Keep It Simple using papers and die cut pieces from our new Wander collection. This is one of the easiest fun folds ever and I totally love how it turned out. It’s very similar to all the front flap card folds I’ve made over the years but it’s made with one piece of cardstock rather than two.

I cut the 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base from CutCardStock Basis Black and scored it at 4-1/4″. I put the cardstock in my paper trimmer with the 5-1/2″ edge across the top. I measured 1-1/4″ inward from the left edge and cut from the top edge down to the score line, and then repeated the process on the other side. I applied glue to the underside of the two narrow flaps and pressed them down, leaving the center flap loose. I used papers and die cuts from our Wander collection, along with our Lemon enamel dots and some Love From Lizi gold pinstripe peel-off stickers to embellish the front.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a paper strip and more die cuts. Seriously, this card couldn’t be easier – you have to give it a try! ;)

Dad We Love You

Hey everybody, another wish for a happy Friday since this is my second post of the day! I hope you’re having a great week. I’m up on the CutCardStock blog today with a tutorial for making a super cute shirt card for Dad which is my own design. It’s super easy and really packs a punch. You can dress it up or down, and make it masculine, feminine or kid-friendly. I used Misty Blue and Navy Blue from our Lessebo line along with my studio staple Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. I cut the card base from Lessebo Misty Blue cardstock and then cut the pieces for the front, sleeve, collar and placket from a plaid print in the Craft Consortium Tartan paper pad. I totally LOVE plaids for masculine shirt cards! I added Keep It Simple Back To Basics Royal Enamel Dots for the buttons along with a sentiment from the Brutus Monroe Remote King stamp set which I stamped on a Misty Blue cardstock scrap in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink. I cut it with a Love From Lizi Stitched Label Nested Cutting Die and layered it on a slightly larger label die cut which I cut from Lessebo Navy Blue cardstock.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a leftover strip of the plaid paper used on the front. I stamped another Brutus Monroe sentiment from the Super Sentimental stamp set in the blue ink, and this completed the card.

you’re Eggstra special

Hey everybody, happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a fabulous week and you’re looking forward to a restful and relaxing weekend. I’m thrilled to share a Brutus Monroe DT inspiration project with you today featuring our Hip Hop Hooray stamps, stencils and chipboard along with our Bunny Friends stamps and chipboard. This double easel fold is seriously one of the easiest-ever fun folds and it really packs a punch. And I just can’t get over the cuteness of all the Easter-themed crafty goodies in this latest release – be sure to check them out!

I cut the card base at 4-1/4″ x 11″ (scored at 5-1/2″) from CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock. Next, I cut the double easel panel at 4″ x 10-1/4″ (scored at 2-1/2″ and 5″) along with an embellishment strip approximately 3-5/8″ x 3/4″ from our Jack O Lantern cardstock. Finally, I cut two additional layering panels at 3-3/4″ x 5″ and 2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ from a print in the Spring Floral 6×6 Paper Pack. I created the focal images for the front using the Hip Hop Hooray stamps and stencils with distress inks and chipboard companions. I also used a variety of markers in addition to the distress inks, and blinged out the eggs with some tiny colored gemstones in my stash. Just prior to adhering the focal images, I stamped a sentiment from the Hip Hop Hooray stamp set.

I cut the inside panel at 3-3/4″ x 5″ from CutCardStock Basis 80# Natural cardstock and embellished it with leftover strips of the patterned paper and cardstock used on the front. I stamped a sentiment from the same Hip Hop Hooray stamp set and layered it on a panel of Jack O Lantern cardstock cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″. The finishing touch was adding an additional chipboard bunny created with the Bunny Friends stamps and chipboard companions. All stamping on this card was done in our Raven ink.

Hello Friend

Hey everybody, has ‘Spring sprung’ where you are yet? We honestly thought Spring had arrived here until Mother Nature threw us a little more snow a couple weeks ago. We’ve had a few slightly chilly days since then and we’re hoping that was our last snowfall for the year, but who knows?! I’m up on the Scrapbook Pal blog today sharing a tutorial for making a pretty friendship card featuring dies and stamps in the Hero Arts Blossoms & Birdsong Collection. I used the Branches & Blossoms Fancy Dies along with the Here For You Clear Stamps & Dies. I am a huge Hero Arts fan and these products carry the same upscale quality we all know and love!

Using the Hero Arts Branches & Blossoms Fancy Dies, I cut the background along with the birds, florals and leaf sprig from white cardstock and colored them with a variety of Copic Ciao alcohol markers. I love using a MISTI Sticky Mat affixed to my Ranger-Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion 7” with magnets. Keeping the die cuts in the negative spaces on the Sticky Mat allows easy coloring without them scooting all over the place.

I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Eris cardstock. I adhered the background to the card front along with the birds and flowers, popping up the birds with foam strips. I added a sentiment from the Here For You Clear Stamps & Dies which I stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink and cut with the coordinating die. The finishing touch was adding a Brutus Monroe Emerald Green Flat Back Crystal to the center of each flower.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White and embellished it with the leaf sprig and a couple leftover flowers. I added another sentiment stamped from the Here For You Clear Stamps & Dies which was also stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink and cut with the coordinating die. Hip Hop Hooray

Hey everybody, happy hump day! I hope you’re having a great week! I’m delighted to share a Brutus Monroe DT inspiration project with you today featuring our Hoppy To See You Card Panels, Hip Hop Hooray Stamp Set, Bunny Friends Stamp Set and Lace Layers Nested Dies. These card panels are foilable although I chose not to do that this time. I colored this one and heat embossed it to make it shimmer. There’s nothing cuter than these little bunnies peeking out from behind the eggs! This Easter release is pretty darn cute and you need to check it out if you haven’t already. ;)

I grabbed a pre-scored card base and adhered a panel cut from Rouge cardstock along with a die cut Lace Layers panel cut from Cabbage cardstock. I colored the card panel (from the Hoppy To See You pack) with an assortment of markers, coated it with our embossing ink and some iridescent embossing powder from my stash, and then once again with some of our icicle embossing powder. This gave the panel a smooth finish. I stamped the bunnies from the Bunny Friends stamp set, colored them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them. The final step was stamping a sentiment from the Hip Hop Hooray stamp set in Memento Bamboo Leaves ink which I cut with a Love From Lizi stitched circle die.

I adhered a Rouge cardstock panel to the inside of the card base along with a slightly smaller Lace Layers panel cut from the Cabbage cardstock. I embellished a panel of Neenah Solar White cardstock with a leftover strip cut from the card panel on the front. Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Hip Hop Hooray stamp set in Memento Bamboo Leaves ink, which completed the card.

4/19/25 Weekly Favorite at Splitcoast Stampers!

Hey everybody, Happy Weekend! I hope you’re doing something fun and having some awesome Spring weather! Our weather this time of year is glorious… still a tad chilly overnight (but not bad) and warm and sunny during the day! I’m delighted to share a Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today. This pretty shaker card features our KIS Shaker Frames A2 Frames #7 which was released in February along with our Rainbow Builder dies and sentiment stamps. And of course, I just HAD to use a variety of our papers in all the rainbow colors and our 2mm and 3mm Sprinkles pearls! I sure do love me a shaker card, and I totally feel like this one would cheer up a friend!

I cut a top-folding card base and shaker frame (using the KIS Shaker Frames A2 Frames #7) from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock. I pulled out the new Back to Basics Black & White 6×9 Collection Pack and cut the frame again so I could use the outer scalloped portion. Then the fun began… cutting the frame seven more times from papers in our Back To Basics Ruby, Mango, Lemon, Jade, Royal, Lilac and Rose 12×12 Collection Packs. This gave me lots of leftover pieces to build more rainbows!

I created the shaker with a panel of acetate and narrow strips of foam using our Back To Basics Shaker Basics-Foam Adhesive & Acetate Sheets, then filled it with our 2mm and 3mm Sprinkles Pearls. I stamped a sentiment from our Sunshine & Rainbows Sentiment Stamps in Catherine Pooler Twilight ink and cut it with a Back To Basics Stitched Oval Nested Die.

I grabbed the outer portion of the frame that I had cut previously from the Back To Basics Ruby 12×12 Collection Pack to use as the base of the inside panel. I added a rectangle cut from 80# Solar White using a Stitched Rectangle Nested Die and stamped an additional sentiment from the Sunshine & Rainbows Sentiment Stamps in the gray ink. Love, love, love!
